"ABSTRAKBalita merupakan kelompok usia anak yang paling rentan mengalami dampak negatif hospitalisasi. Upaya untuk mengurangi dampak negatif hospitalisasi tersebut adalah mengoptimalkan peran orang tua dengan salah satunya melakukan pola komunikasi efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pola komunikasi orang tua pada balita yang mengalami hospitalisasi. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kategorik dengan pendekatan potong lintang (cross-sectional) menggunakan 75 sampel anak usia balita yang sedang dihospitalisasi di RSAB Harapan Kita Jakarta Barat, sampel dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 50,7% orang tua melakukan pola komunikasi efektif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlu adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan orang tua untuk melakukan komunikasi pada balita.

ABSTRACTChildren underfive were the age group most vulnerable experienced the negative impact of hospitalization. Efforts to reduce that negative impact could be done by optimizing the role of parents which one of them doing effective communication patterns. The purpose of this study described an overview of parental communication patterns in children underfive who experienced hospitalization. Design of this study was a descriptive cross-sectional categorical approach used 75 samples of children aged under five who were hospitalized at RSAB Harapan Kita Jakarta Barat, samples selected by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used a questionnaire to assess parental communication patterns. The results of this study indicated that 50,7% parents had used effective communication patterns."

"[ABSTRAK Kanker kolorektal merupakan kanker yang muncul di sekitar kolon dan rektum. Salah satu dampak kanker kolorektal adalah kekurangan nutrisi atau malnutrisi. Padahal asupan nutrisi yang adekuat sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan sistem imun melawan sel kanker dan mempersiapkan jaringan dalam proses penyembuhan pasca pembedahan. Kebersihan mulut dan perawatan bibir dengan madu menjadi salah satu implementasi keperawatan yang dapat dilakukan untuk memperbaiki status nutrisi pasien kanker kolorektal. Hasil implementasi selama kurang lebih dua minggu menunjukkan dampak yang positif terhadap status nutrisi pasien yang ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan nafsu makan dan perbaikan manifestasi klinis yang berhubungan dengan status nutrisi.
