" Using data from the Indonesia Family Life Survey IFLS and World Values Survey WVS, this study analyzes the factors that influence indicators of charitable behaviour in Indonesia, differentiating between monetary contributions and time contributions. We find an unexpectedly strong negative relationship between income and charitability, suggesting that those who have the least are those who give the most.
