"Dalam proses pengadaan proyek konstruksi, pemilihan pemasok material yang tepat akan membantu kelancaran pelaksanaan proyek. Pemilihan pemasok material yang dilakukan tanpa pertimbangan tertentu, seringkali menimbulkan kerugian bagi kontraktor dari segi kualitas, biaya dan waktu diakibatkan oleh tidak profesionalnya pemasok tersebut. Sebagai tindakan solutif, kontraktor menjatuhkan pilihan kepada beberapa pemasok dengan memperhatikan beberapa aspek yang dimiliki oleh para pemasok tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pertimbangan kontraktor tersebut dalam menentukan pemasok material yang akan dipilih serta menentukan faktor-faktor utama yang menjadi pertimbangan pemilihan pemasok material. Analisa yang dilakukan adalah dengan menvalidasi variabel hasil literatur secara general ke beberapa responden dengan cara wawancara terstruktur mendalam, kemudian analisa data hasil kuisioner dengan metode pembanding yang menyerupai analytical hierarchy process. Dengan pengolahan data ini dapat diketahui faktor-faktor yang menjadi pertimbangan utama bagi kontraktor untuk memilih pemasok material. Berdasarkan analisis statistik dapat diketahui faktor-faktor utama dalam pemilihan pemasok material fabrikasi pada proses pengadaan proyek secara berurutan adalah kualitas material, harga material, kemudahan dalam cara dan syarat pembayaran, kesesuaian dengan spesifikasi kemudian kecepatan dan ketepatan waktu penyerahan material. Sedangkan untuk pemilihan pemasok material non-fabrikasi, faktor-faktor utama secara berurutan adalah kualitas material, harga material, kemudahan dalam cara dan syarat pembayaran, kecepatan dan ketepatan waktu penyerahan material kemudian kesesuaian dengan spesifikasi.

In project construction's procurement process, to choose a qualified supplier will help the work on project to run without any obstacles and right on schedule. To choose a supplier without any specific policy, will causing the contractor disadvantages in time, cost and quality because the lack of profesionality from the supplier. As a solutive act, a contractor must made a chooise based on some of positive aspect that owned by the supplier. The purpose of this research is to analize the factors that influenced the contractor's policies to choose a supplier. It is also to determine which main factors that influenced contractor's policies to choose a supplier. The analysis starts with validating the variables from literatures in general to some of respondents with deeply organized interview, and then analysing the result of questioners with a method that similar to analytical hierarchy process. With these methods of research, it will show the main factors that influenced contractor's choice. Based on statictical analysis it is known that main factors that influenced the policies for choosing a fabrication supplier in a right order are: the quality of materials, the price of materials, the easiness in payment condition and method, the specifications of materials that can be fullfiled and then the on-time delivery of the materials by the supplier. For the non fabrication supplier, the main factors in a right order are: the quality of materials, the price of materials, the easiness in payment condition and method, the on-time delivery of the materials by the supplier and then the specifications of materials that can be fullfiled by the supplier."
