Penentuan usia seseorang memegang peranan penting dalam kedokteran forensik, tidak hanya untuk identifikasi tubuh, tetapi erat pula kaitannya dengan tindak kejahatan dan kecelakaan (1). Akibat dari tindak kejahatan dan kecelakaan ini, tidak jarang ditemukan kerangka manusia atau korban yang sulit diidentifikasi. Banyak prosedur dapat ditempuh dalam menentukan usia seseorang antara lain dari penutupan sutura tengkorak, penyatuan epifisis, dan diafisis tulang panjang, permukaan simfisis pubis serta dari gigi geligi seseorang (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11).
