"Identitas tempat merupakan nilai ataupun karakter khusus yang dimiliki oleh suatu tempat untuk membedakannya dengan tempat lain. Identitas tempat dibentuk oleh beberapa elemen fisik dan non fisik seperti kondisi fisik lingkungan, aktivitas dan persepsi manusia terhadap tempat itu. Taman Suropati Jakarta dan Taman Musik Centrum Bandung merupakan taman yang dikenal sebagai tempat untuk bermain musik oleh masyarakat. Kedua taman memiliki cara yang berbeda dalam mendapatkan identitasnya, Taman Suropati yang kuat dengan elemen persepsi dan Taman Musik Centrum yang kuat dengan elemen kondisi fisik. Penulis menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara terhadap pengunjung untuk mengetahui bagaimana elemen tersebut membentuk identitas taman. Lalu, penulis akan membahas mengenai pengaruh identitas terhadap fungsi taman.

"Urban tourism merupakan bentuk pariwisata yang dilakukan dengan mengunjungi sebuah destinasi di lingkungan perkotaan salah satunya melalui tur jalan kaki. Tur jalan kaki adalah kegiatan wisata yang dilakukan dengan jalan kaki untuk menjelajahi dan mengalami kehidupan dinamis perkotaan, menyaksikan beragam kegiatan kota yang menarik dan unik hingga berinteraksi dengan penduduk setempat. Tidak hanya menyusuri sebuah tempat dengan jalan kaki, wisata ini juga dilengkapi dengan sebuah narasi urban yaitu sebuah rangkaian cerita yang disampaikan pemandu maupun warga lokal untuk menjelaskan sejarah, budaya, dan identitas tempat yang dikunjungi sehingga dapat menciptakan ikatan emosional antara wisatawan dan tempat yang mereka kunjungi atau yang dikenal dengan konsep sense of place. Konsep sense of place merupakan sebuah hubungan antara manusia dan tempat yang dihasilkan dari pengalaman individu terhadap suatu tempat yang membedakan tempat tersebut berbeda dengan tempat lainnya. Sense of place dapat hadir melalui tiga elemen pembentuk yaitu, penataan fisik (physical setiing), aktivitas (activity), dan makna (meaning).Adapun tujuan penulisan ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana pembentukan sense of place yang hadir dan dirasakan oleh peserta walking tour berkaitan dengan narasi yang disampaikan pemandu maupun warga lokal. Penulisan ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif naratif untuk memudahkan penulis dalam menjelaskan hasil penelusuran secara kronologis sehingga dapat memperoleh gambaran yang lebih detail mengenai pembentukan sense of place terhadap objek studi kasus yaitu pada Sisi Timur Batavia dan juga Kota Lama Gresik. Berdasarkan hasil penelusuran menunjukkan bahwa melalui walking tour individu dapat mengeksplorasi kehidupan lingkungan perkotaan dan narasi berperan untuk memperkuat sense of place pada wisatawan dalam membangun pemahaman yang lebih holistik tentang kota, meningkatkan kesadaran akan nilai-nilai budaya dan lingkungan, serta mendorong partisipasi aktif dalam melestarikan sejarah dan budaya sehingga dapat membangun sebuah kota yang identitasnya terjaga.

Urban tourism is a form of tourism that is carried out by visiting a destination in an urban environment, one of which is a walking tour. A walking tour is a tourist activity that is carried out on foot to explore and experience dynamic urban life, witness various interesting and unique city activities, and interact with local residents. Not only does this tour include exploring a place on foot, but it is also equipped with an urban narrative, which is a series of stories told by guides and local residents to explain the history, culture, and identity of the places visited so as to generate an emotional bond between tourists and the places they visit. or what is known as the concept of sense of place. The concept of sense of place is a relationship between humans and places resulting from individual experiences of a place that distinguishes that place from other places. A sense of place can be generated through three elements: physical setting, activity, and meaning.

The purpose of this writing is to find out how the formation of a sense of place is present and felt by walking tour participants related to the narration conveyed by guides and local residents. This writing uses a qualitative research method with a narrative-descriptive approach to facilitate the writer in explaining the search results chronologically so that a more detailed picture of the formation of a sense of place for the object of the case study can be obtained, namely on the Sisi Timur Batavia and also in the Kota Lama Gresik. Based on the research results, it shows that through walking tours, individuals can explore urban environmental life, and narratives play a role in strengthening the sense of place in tourists by building a more holistic understanding of the city, increasing awareness of cultural and environmental values, and encouraging active participation in preserving history. and culture so as to build a city whose identity is maintained."
