"This paper is constructed and designed to develop further understanding about gender through Judith Butler’s idea of performativity. Exploring ideas and perspectives about gender on the show called RuPaul’s Drag Race in which commodifies the idea of gender parody. The data collection is gathered through secondary data through series of the episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race as a literature review with narrative review approach. While correlating other relevant gender studies journal, book, research and theories such as from Judith Butler’s as a literature review methods. Resulting that the commodification of drag on RuPaul Drag Race that gender is performative through the repetitive acts and habitus.

Makalah ini dibangun dan dirancang untuk mengembangkan pemahaman lebih tentang gender melalui gagasan performativitas Judith Butler. Menggali perspektif tentang gender di acara bertajuk RuPaul's Drag Race yang mengkomodifikasi ide parodi gender. Pengumpulan data dikumpulkan melalui data sekunder melalui pemurtaran episode dari RuPaul Drag Race sebagai kajian literatur dengan pendekatan ulasan narasi. Sambil mengkorelasikan jurnal studi gender, buku, penelitian relevan lainnya, dan teori seperti dari Judith Butler sebagai metode tinjauan literatur. Disimpulkan bahwa adanya komodifikasi Drag pada acara RuPaul’s DRag Race, bahwa gender adalah performative berdasarkan aksi dan habitus."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan Gender Diversity pada Dewan Direksi dan Dewan Komisaris dan Komisaris Independen dengan pengungkapan informasi. Adanya keragaman gender (gender diversity) dalam Dewan Direksi dan Dewan Komisaris diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pengungkapan informasi kepada masyarakat melalui pengawasan yang lebih baik. Untuk menguji hubungan tersebut digunakan metode regresi linier berganda dengan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 53 perusahaan manufaktur tahun 2008, 2009 dan 2010. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa jumlah Dewan Direksi, ukuran perusahaan yang diukur dengan total aset, dan struktur modal yang diukur dengan rasio leverage secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi pengungkapan informasi secara keseluruhan. Persentase jumlah wanita pada dewan direksi dan dewan komisaris ternyata tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap pengungkapan informasi.

This study aims to examine the relationship Gender Diversity on the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners. The existence of gender diversity in Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners is expected to improve the quality of disclosure through a better supervision. To examine the relationship, this study uses multiple linear regression method using 53 samples manufacturing companies in 2008, 2009, dan 2010. This research concludes that size of BOD, company size measured by total aset and capital structure influence the overall disclosure. Percentage number of women on Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners not significantly has influence on disclosure of information."

"Iklan memiliki peran sentral dalam merefleksikan dan mengonstruksi realitas masyarakat. Di Indonesia, iklan seringkali menampilkan bias gender yang berimplikasi negatif pada langgengnya kultur patriarki di masyarakat. Meskipun telah ada upaya hukum dan etika periklanan, permasalahan ini masih berlanjut karena budaya patriarki terus diproduksi dan direproduksi melalui iklan, media, dan masyarakat. Penulis melihat pentingnya sarana untuk meminimalisasi bias gender yang terjadi, salah satunya melalui penerapan pedagogi feminis bagi calon pengiklan. Sejumlah studi di negara-negara maju menunjukkan bahwa pedagogi feminis dapat menjadi instrumen kunci untuk mewujudkan kesetaraan gender dalam praktik periklanan, terutama sebagai sarana sosialisasi preventif.

Advertising plays a central role in reflecting and constructing societal reality. In Indonesia, advertisements often portray gender bias, negatively impacting the perpetuation of patriarchal culture. Despite legal and ethical efforts in advertising, the issue persists as patriarchal culture continues to be produced and reproduced through advertisements, media, and society. The author recognizes the importance of tools to minimize gender bias, including the application of feminist pedagogy for prospective advertisers. Numerous studies in developed countries indicate that feminist pedagogy can be a key instrument in achieving gender equality in advertising practices, particularly as a preventive socialization tool."

"Konsep biner adalah salah satu konsep yang telah mengakar dalam tatanan sosial masyarakat. Konsep tersebut menjadi salah satu bidang yang diteliti dalam kaitannya dengan keberlangsungan sistem dominasi, hierarki, dan ketimpangan gender sebagai norma. Artikel ini ditulis untuk menguji konsep biner tersebut dalam perspektif melakukan gender dalam film berjudul 303 (2018) karya Hans Weingartner untuk menyelidiki lebih dalam konstruksi heteronormativitas dan hierarki gender pada dua pemeran utama film ini. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan upaya menggali, memahami, dan menjabarkan representasi budaya berkaitan dengan masalah yang disebutkan di atas. Analisis ini menyoroti konstruksi konsep biner dan dikotomi peran pada kedua pemeran utama dalam film yang saling terkait dalam mengkonstruksi heteronormativitas dan hierarki gender satu sama lain. Analisis ini juga menemukan bahwa film ini melihat ketidaksetaraan gender sebagai hasil dari negosiasi dan kesepakatan dalam peranan tersebut.The gender binary has been entrenched within society for decades. This concept is primarily used to investigate and explain how domination, hierarchy, and gender inequality is sustained in a culture as norms. In this article, I analyse this concept with the doing gender perspective in a movie called 303 (2018) by Hans Weingartner to investigate the construction of heteronormativity and gender hierarchy on the main actors. Using qualitative methods, this article will explore, explain, and describe the cultural representations that related to the problems mentioned above. This analysis sheds light on the construction of the gender binary concept and the dichotomy on the main actors roles are interrelated in creating heteronormativity and their gender hierarchy. Also, the findings illustrate the construction of gender inequality this film has, as a result of negotiations and agreement on these roles."

"Gender role socialization is a process of becoming a women or a man, which person will behave as a male or a female as is expected by society. Usually, women carry out their domestic tasks while men play the instrumental tasks. The gender stereotypes create gender hierarchy where men are higher and powerful than women. The gender hierarchy influenced by patriarchy culture. This ideology presents in every facet of living such as law, politics, economy, education, religion, family and occupation. It is shown in many evidences of inequality and discrimination against women.Recently there is equality between men and women in daily life. She or he should choose whether to take the gender difference-based role or not. "Androgyny" is an interesting notion to be discussed. Sociological point of view identifies to the human roles which are no longer gender-based. The issue would be families start to transmit androgyny values to the members, so that androgyny society can be realized in the future, to reduce the patriarchy culture."
