"Label informasi nilai gizi produk pangan kemasan dapat digunakan untuk memantau asupan makanan, sehingga pemahaman terhadap informasi nilai gizi pada kemasan harus diperhatikan karena akan mempengaruhi pemilihan makanan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang  mempengaruhi kebiasaan membaca label informasi nilai gizi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan bulan Mei-Juli 2023 pada Mahasiswa Rumpun Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Indonesia. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu 208 responden melalui pengisian kuesioner.  Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua cara, yaitu chi square dan uji t independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 30,8% responden memiliki kebiasaan baik dalam membaca label informasi nilai gizi. Uji statistik menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara gaya hidup dan pengetahuan gizi pada produk pangan kemasan dengan kebiasaan membaca label informasi nilai gizi. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai keuntungan dan cara membaca label informasi nilai gizi untuk meningkatkan kebiasaan yang baik dalam membaca label informasi gizi sebelum membeli produk pangan kemasan.

Nutrition labels on packaged food products can be utilized to monitor dietary intake and understanding of nutrition labels on the packaging should be noticed because it affects daily food selection.  Lack of understanding of nutrition labels will impact inappropriate food selection. The Objective of this study is to identify the factors influencing the habit of reading nutritional information labels. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Data collection was conducted from May to July 2023 among students from the Health Sciences Cluster at the University of Indonesia. The sample in this study was 208 respondents who were collected with a self-administered questionnaire and who were selected using accidental sampling. The study utilized two statistical analysis methods: chi-square and independent t-test. This study showed that 30,8% respondents have a good habit of reading nutrition labels. According to bivariate analysis, there was a significant association between  healthy lifestyle and nutrition knowledge of packaged food products with the habit of reading nutritional information labels. Therefore, it is necessary to improve knowledge and understanding of the benefits and methods of reading nutritional information labels to enhance the good habit of reading such labels before purchasing packaged food products."

"Hasil analisis Survei Konsumsi Makanan Individu tahun 2014 menyatakan bahwa hanya 6,7% remaja di Indonesia yang memiliki kualitas konsumsi yang baik. Hal ini didapatkan dari penilaian terhadap keragaman, proporsi, dan kecukupan konsumsi. Salah satu indikator yang dapat digunakan untuk menilai kualitas konsumsi makanan seseorang adalah dengan menggunakan healthy eating index. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kualitas konsumsi makanan melalui penggunaan healthy eating index pada mahasiswa S1 Reguler Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Indonesia. Penelitian menggunakan desain studi cross sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Mei-Juni 2022 melalui pengisian kuesioner online oleh responden (n=140). Kuesioner yang digunakan yaitu Semi- quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) terkait data asupan makan, Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) terkait tingkat stres, Food Choice Questionnaire terkait alasan pemilihan makan, Pengetahuan Gizi, Health Belief Items terkait keyakinan kesehatan, dan Multidimensi onal Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBRSQ) terkait body image. Hasil analisis univariat memperlihatkan bahwa 51.9% responden memiliki kualitas konsumsi makanan kategori rendah. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang bermakna antara jenis kelamin (p-value: 0,002), tingkat stres ((p-value: 0,042), pengaruh media sosial (p-value: 0,002), health belief, dan body image (p-value: 0,009). Sementara itu, tidak ditemukan hubungan yang bermakna antara pengetahuan gizi image (p-value: 0,091), alasan pemilihan makan image (p-value: 0,563), dan uang saku bulanan image (p-value: 0,988) dengan kualitas konsumsi makanan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penulis menyarankan untuk dilakukannya edukasi mengenai pentingnya konsumsi makanan yang sehat dan teratur sesuai dengan pedoman gizi seimbang dengan memanfaatkan media sosial untuk dapat meningkatkan kualitas konsumsi makanan.

The results of the 2014 SKMI analysis in adolescents stated that the quality of adolescent consumption when viewed as a whole in Indonesia showed a figure that was still quite low at 6.7 percent, this was because in terms of the proportion and adequacy of consumption in adolescents was not good. One of the indicators that can be used to assess the quality of a person's food consumption is to use a healthy eating index. This study aims to determine the factors related to the quality of food consumption through the use of a healthy eating index in Regular S1 students of the Faculty of Public Health, University of Indonesia. The study used a cross-sectional study design with a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out in May-June 2022 through filling out an online questionnaire by respondents (n=140). The questionnaires used were the Semi-quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) related to eating intake data, the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) related to stress levels, the Food Choice Questionnaire related to the reasons for eating selection, Nutritional Knowledge, Health Belief Items related to health beliefs, and the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBRSQ) related body image. The results of this study showed that 51.9% of respondents had a low category of food consumption quality. The results of the analysis showed a meaningful relationship between gender, stress levels, social media influences, health beliefs, and body image. Meanwhile, no meaningful relationship was found between nutritional knowledge, reasons for eating, and monthly allowances with the quality of food consumption. Based on the results of the study, the author suggests to be educated regarding the importance of consuming healthy and regular foods in accordance with balanced nutritional guidelines by utilizing social media to improve the quality of food consumption.

"Latar Belakang: Peningkatan prevalensi diabetes melitus tipe 2 dan obesitas sentral di Indonesia merupakan tantangan besar bagi kesehatan masyarakat, terutama bagi wanita. Lingkar pinggang dan glukosa darah puasa adalah indikator kunci kesehatan metabolik. Studi ini memeriksa hubungan antara Planetary Health Diet Index (PHDI) dan indikator-indikator tersebut di antara wanita Minang dan Sunda di Indonesia.
Metode: Data dari studi cross-sectional "Diets, Metabolic Profiles, and Gut Microbiota Among Indonesian Women in Minang and Sundanese-ethnic Communities" digunakan. Asupan makanan dinilai menggunakan kuesioner frekuensi makanan semi-kuantitatif (FFQ), dan PHDI dihitung serta divalidasi. Pengukuran antropometrik termasuk BMI, lingkar pinggang, dan kadar glukosa darah puasa dicatat, dengan kadar glukosa diukur menggunakan metode kolorimetri glukosa oksidase. Usia, aktivitas fisik, etnis, dan area tempat tinggal dievaluasi melalui kuesioner. Analisis regresi linier disesuaikan dengan faktor pengganggu: usia, BMI, etnis, dan area tempat tinggal untuk lingkar pinggang; dan usia, BMI, serta lingkar pinggang untuk glukosa darah puasa.
Hasil: Tidak ada hubungan signifikan antara PHDI dengan lingkar pinggang maupun kadar glukosa darah puasa. Setelah disesuaikan dengan faktor pengganggu, umbi-umbian dan kentang (β adjusted = 0,288, p = 0,014) serta produk susu (β adjusted = 0,755, p = 0,022) secara signifikan berkorelasi positif dengan lingkar pinggang. Asupan buah secara signifikan berkorelasi positif dengan kadar glukosa darah puasa (β adjusted = 0,973, p = 0,046).
Kesimpulan: Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun PHDI secara keseluruhan tidak menunjukkan hubungan signifikan dengan lingkar pinggang atau kadar glukosa darah puasa, komponen diet spesifik seperti umbi-umbian dan kentang, serta produk susu berhubungan dengan lingkar pinggang yang lebih besar. Selain itu, asupan buah yang lebih tinggi berhubungan dengan peningkatan kadar glukosa darah puasa. Temuan ini menekankan perlunya intervensi diet pada komponen makanan spesifik dalam PHDI untuk meningkatkan kesehatan metabolik yang lebih baik pada wanita Indonesia.

Background: The rising prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus and central obesity in Indonesia presents major public health challenges, especially for women. Waist circumference and fasting blood glucose are key indicators of metabolic health. This study examines the link between the Planetary Health Diet Index (PHDI) and these indicators among Minang and Sundanese women in Indonesia.
Methods: Data from the cross-sectional study "Diets, Metabolic Profiles, and Gut Microbiota Among Indonesian Women in Minang and Sundanese-ethnic Communities" were used. Dietary intake was assessed using a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (FFQ), and the PHDI was calculated and validated. BMI, waist circumference, and fasting blood glucose levels were recorded, with glucose levels measured using a glucose oxidase colorimetric method. Age, physical activity, ethnicity, and living area were evaluated through questionnaires. Linear regression analysis was adjusted for confounders: age, BMI, ethnicity, and living area for waist circumference, and age, BMI, and waist circumference for fasting blood glucose.
Results: There is no significant association between PHDI with either waist circumference and fasting blood glucose levels. After adjusting for confounders, tubers and potatoes (adjusted β = 0.288, p = 0.014) and dairy (adjusted β = 0.755, p = 0.022) were significantly positively correlated with waist circumference. Fruit intake was significantly positively correlated with fasting blood glucose levels (adjusted β = 0.973, p = 0.046).
Conclusions: The study highlights that while the overall PHDI did not show a significant association with waist circumference or fasting blood glucose levels, specific dietary components such as tubers and potatoes, and dairy were linked to larger waist circumference. Additionally, higher fruit intake was associated with increased fasting blood glucose levels. These findings emphasize the need for targeted dietary interventions focusing on specific food components within the PHDI to improve metabolic health outcomes among Indonesian women.

"Literasi gizi adalah tingkatan dimana seseorang memiliki kapasitas untuk menperoleh, memproses, dan memahami informasi dasar seputar gizi. Literasi gizi dapat memengaruhi pembentukan pola makan pada usia remaja dan dewasa muda. Skripsi ini meneliti tingkat literasi gizi pada mahasiswa untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengannya, antara lain jenis kelamin, rumpun ilmu kesehatan dan non kesehatan, dan tingkat uang saku.
Desain studi yang digunakan adalah cross sectional kepada 373 mahasiswa sarjana Universitas Indonesia angkatan 2017 dengan menggunakan instrumen kuesioner yang terdiri dari tiga domain literasi fungsional, interaktif, dan kritikal. Data dianalisis dengan uji Chi-square.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 47.2 responden memiliki literasi gizi tidak adekuat. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan adanya hubungan bermakna antara rumpun ilmu kesehatan dan non kesehatan dengan tingkat literasi gizi total p = 0.000, OR = 4.6 . Rumpun ilmu kesehatan dan non kesehatan juga berhubungan bermakna dengan literasi gizi fungsional p = 0.000, OR = 2.9, dengan literasi gizi interaktif p = 0.002, OR = 2.5, dan dengan literasi gizi kritikal p = 0.001, OR = 2.7.

Nutrition literacy is defined as the degree to which individual has the capacity to obtain, process, and understand about basic nutrition information. Nutrition literacy can affect the formation of different diet in adolescents and young adults. This thesis examines the level of nutrition literacy among first year undergraduate students to know about the factors associated with it, including gender, clusters of health and non health science, and allowance.
This study used cross sectional design to 373 first year undergraduate students in University of Indonesia by using the questionnaire instrument consisting of three domains functional, interactive, and critical. Data were analyzed by chi square test.
The result showed that 47,2 of respondents had inadequate nutrition literacy. The result of bivariate analysis showed that there is a significant correlation between health science and non health science cluster with the total nutrition literacy rate p 0.000, OR 4.6 . Health science and non health science cluster were also significantly associated with the functional nutrition literacy p 0.000, OR 2.9, interactive nutrition literacy p 0.002, OR 2.5, and critical nutrition literacy p 0.001, OR 2.7.

"Sarapan merupakan waktu penting untuk menjaga kecukupan gizi tubuh selama beraktivitas. Melewatkan sarapan dapat menyebabkan tubuh kekurangan energi dan akan mengakibatkan tubuh menjadi lemas, lesu, mengantuk, pusing, kesulitan berkonsentrasi, penurunan prestasi akademik, serta dapat mengganggu tumbuh kembang fisik dan seksual pada remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran dan perbedaan proporsi kebiasaan sarapan dengan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya pada siswa/i SMA Budhi Warman 2 Jakarta Tahun 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross sectional dengan jumlah responden 152 siswa yang berasal dari kelas X dan XI. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan SQ-FFQ yang diisi secara mandiri oleh responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 54,5 % siswa memiliki kebiasaan sarapan yang tidak baik. Terdapat perbedaan proporsi yang signifikan pada kebiasaan sarapan berdasarkan pengetahuan gizi (p-value=0,032), kebiasaan jajan (p-value=0,007), ketersediaan sarapan (p-value=0,006), pekerjaan ibu (p-value=0,037), dan pengaruh orang tua (p-value=0,037). Peneliti menyarankan untuk diberikannya promosi dan pendidikan gizi mengenai sarapan agar siswa menyadari pentingnya sarapan.

Breakfast is an important meal to maintain adequate body nutrition during the activity. Skipping breakfast can cause the body to lack energy and will cause the body to become weak, lethargic, drowsy, dizzy, difficulty concentrating, decreased academic achievement, and can interfere with physical and sexual development in adolescents. This study aims to determine the description and differences in the proportion of breakfast habits with the factors that influence it on high school students at SMA Budhi Warman 2 Jakarta 2020. This study used cross sectional study design with a total 152 students that were taken from class X and XI as respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire and SQ-FFQ that were filled in independently by respondents. The results showed that 54,5 % of students had poor breakfast habits. There is a significant difference in the proportion of breakfast habits based on nutritional knowledge (pvalue=0,032), snacking habits (p-value=0,007), availability of breakfast (pvalue=0,006), mother’s job (p-value=0,037), and parental influence (p-value=0,045). The researcher suggests that nutrition promotion and education about breakfast can be given so that students will be more aware of the importance of breakfast.

"The impact of Urbanization to food habits and socio-demographic characteristics was examined by comparing a total of 150 elderly subjects from rural, low income urban and middle income urban community (50 in each area) in Bandung district, West Java. All subjects had the same ethnicity (Sundanese). Urban subjects should migrated to the city for at least 30 years.
Data collection was done from January to March 1996. The data was collected through personal interview, anthropometric assessment and in-depth interview to selected individuals. These data collection was aimed to obtain information on food habits, health status, psychological well-being and nutritional status. Changes in food habits was gathered by using list of food which included current and past consumption frequency. Health status data was collected through subjective health reported by the subjects. Nutritional status was assessed by using several anthropometric measurement namely weight, height, armspan and calf circumference.
Changes in consumption frequency of several food items were found between current and past situation and also among areas. Several indicators of psychological well-being were also found significantly different among the three areas. No difference of nutritional status indices among areas were found.

"ABSTRAK
Risiko kekurangan energi kronis (KEK) pada ibu hamil dapat meningkatkan risiko dampak buruk pada kelahiran. Asupan gizi yang cukup selama kehamilan merupakan hal penting yang dapat menjamin kelahiran optimal. Informasi mengenai asupan gizi dan pola konsumsi antara ibu hamil dengan risiko dan tanpa risiko KEK masih terbatas. Studi komparatif potong-lintang dilakukan pada 63 ibu hamil dengan risiko KEK dan 74 ibu hamil tanpa risiko KEK. Informasi mengenai asupan makan diperoleh melalui satu hari penimbangan makan, satu hari recall 24 jam, dan tujuh hari perhitungan makanan (food tally). Analisis dengan Mann Whitney U dan Independent T digunakan untuk membandingkan asupan gizi makro dan mikro pada dua kelompok, sedangkan tes Chi-square digunakan untuk menilai hubungan antara kecukupan gizi dengan status KEK ibu hamil. Asupan gizi antara dua kelompok tidak menunjukan perbedaan yang signifikan. Akan tetapi, terdapat tren yang menunjukan bahwa ibu hamil tanpa risko KEK memiliki asupan gizi yang relatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan ibu hamil risiko KEK untuk energi, protein, lemak, karbohidrat, asam folat, dan magnesium. Kecukupan protein menunjukan hubungan yang bermakna dengan status KEK. Meskipun jumlah frekuensi konsumsi kelompok-kelompok makanan antara ibu hamil dengan risiko dan tanpa risiko KEK tidak berbeda, tetapi rata-rata jumlah porsi yang dikonsumsi pada kelompok sayuran hijau dan kacang-kacangan relatif lebih banyak pada ibu hamil tanpa risiko KEK dibanding ibu hamil dengan risiko KEK. Dari studi ini disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna pada asupan gizi, kecuali untuk protein, antara ibu hamil dengan risiko dan tanpa risiko KEK.

ABSTRACT
Risked at chronic energy deficiency (CED) increases the risk of adverse birth outcomes. Adequate maternal nutrient intake during pregnancy is important to ensure optimum birth outcomes. There were limited data available on the dietary intake and dietary pattern comparing pregnant women with and without CED risk. A comparative cross sectional study was done for 63 pregnant women with CED risk and 74 pregnant women without CED risk. Dietary information was obtained from one-day weighed food record (WFR), one-day 24-hour recall and seven-day food tallies. Mann Whitney U and Independent T tests were used to compare nutrients among both groups, while Chi-square was used to assess the association between nutrient adequacy and CED status. Dietary intakes was not significant different between both groups. However, there was a trend that pregnant women without CED risk had higher intake compared to pregnant women with CED risk for energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate, folate, and magnesium. Protein adequacy was the only nutrient that associated with CED status. Dietary pattern, in term of weekly consumtion of food groups was similar among both groups. However, pregnant women without CED risk consumed higher amount of dark green leafy vegetables and legumes, nuts, and seeds groups. These result revealed there were no significantly different on dietary intake, except for protein, between pregnant women with and without CED risk"
