"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas intervensi Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) berbasis web dalam meningkatkan personal growth initiative(PGI) pada mahasiswa sarjana yang mengalami depresi, kecemasan, atau stres. Tingkat depresi, kecemasan, dan stres diukur dengan menggunakan Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-42), sedangkan PGI diukur dengan menggunakan Personal Growth Initiative Scale II (PGIS-II). Desain one-group pretest-posttest dengan tambahan pengukuran follow-up digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Asesmen dilakukan sebelum, sesudah, dan dua minggu setelah intervensi dilaksanakan. Intervensi ACT berbasis web berlangsung selama satu bulan dengan menggunakan sistem Student Centered e-Learning Environment (SCeLE) Universitas Indonesia dan terdiri dari delapan sesi. Pengolahan data menggunakan Friedman Test dan Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test menunjukkan bahwa PGI meningkat secara signifikan (p < 0,017) setelah intervensi ACT berbasis web. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa tingkat depresi, kecemasan, dan stres mahasiswa sarjana menurun secara siginfikan (p < 0,017) setelah intervensi ACT berbasis web. Selain itu ditemukan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang negatif antara perubahan PGI selama intervensi dengan tingkat depresi saat intervensi berkahir (p < 0,05).

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of web-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) intervention in improving personal growth initiative (PGI) in undergraduate students who experience depression, anxiety, or stress. Levels of depression, anxiety, and stress were measured using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-42), while PGI was measured using the Personal Growth Initiative Scale II (PGIS-II). One-group pretest-posttest design with additional follow-up measurement were used in this study. Assessments were conducted before, after and two weeks after the intervention was implemented. The web-based ACT intervention was carried out for one month using Universitas Indonesia's Student Centered e-Learning Environment (SCeLE) system and consisted of eight sessions. Data processing using Friedman Test and Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed that PGI significantly increased (p < 0.017) following the web-based ACT intervention. This study also showed that the level of depression, anxiety, and stress of undergraduate students significantly reduced (p < 0.017) following the web-based ACT intervention. In addition, there is a negative correlation between changes in PGI during the intervention and the level of depression at the end of the intervention (p < >0.05)."

"Aiesec is a youth-run organization that strives to activate leadership skills among youth. Hence, Aiesec has its own qualities that need to be fulfilled to be called a leader, one of them being self-awareness. Aiesec believes leadership skill is something that could be learned over time. Movie, being one of the mass communication media, has a function to help understand an action that later could support learning. Grounded by a theory from Turow (2014) about the function of mass communication and Rochat (2003) about stages of Self-Awareness, this research aims to understand how the movie “Work It” helps understand self-awareness as one of Aiesec’s leadership qualities. To do this, a content analysis of “Work It” as the main data collection and an interview for triangulation with one of the Team Leaders in Aiesec Universitas Indonesia were conducted. This research reveals that the movie “Work It” covers all the stages of Self-Awareness development by Rochat and the processes of the development were dynamic. The message alignment of the movie and Aiesec’s Leadership Qualities of Self-Awareness is that exploration could lead to discovering passion. The movie “Work It” and movies in general have several creative elements to support the delivery of the message. Thus, this research suggests embedding movies with moral value into a learning process.

Aiesec adalah organisasi yang bertujuan untuk mengasah kemampuan kepemimpinan pemuda. Untuk mempermudah mengukur tercapainya tujuan ini, Aiesec memiliki beberapa kualitas kepemimpinan, salah satunya adalah self-awareness. Aiesec percaya bahwa kemampuan kepemimpinan adalah sesuatu yang dapat dipelajari. Film, sebagai salah satu media komunikasi massa, memiliki fungsi untuk membantu memahami sebuah aksi yang nantinya memungkinkan untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran. Berlandaskan dengan teori utama mengenai fungsi media komunikasi massa oleh Turow (2014) dan tahap perkembangan self-awareness oleh Rochat (2003), penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana film “Work It” dapat membantu memahami praktek self-awareness sebagai salah satu kualitas kepemimpinan di Aiesec. Untuk menguji hal ini, analisis konten film “Work It” sebagai data utama dan wawancara dengan salah satu Team Leader Aiesec Universitas Indonesia sebagai triangulasi dilakukan. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa film “Work It” mencakup semua tahapan pengembangan self-awareness oleh Rochat dan proses pengembangannya bersifat dinamis. Ketersinambungan pesan film dan Kualitas Kepemimpinan self-awareness Aiesec adalah bahwa eksplorasi dapat mengarah pada penemuan passion. Film pada umumnya memiliki beberapa elemen kreatif untuk mendukung penyampaian pesan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menyarankan untuk menggabungkan film yang memiliki nilai moral ke dalam proses pembelajaran."
