"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai autentisitas kepemimpinan politik pada pesan yang dikembangkan Gubernur DKI Anies Baswedan, Gubernur Jawa Barat Ridwan Kamil, Gubernur Jawa Tengah Ganjar Pranowo, dan Gubernur Jawa Timur Khofifah Indar Parawangsa pada akun media sosial mereka, yakni Instagram. Penilaian tersebut berbasis pada konsep autentisitas termediasi media sosial (Enli, 2015; Luebke, 2021), komunikasi politik populis (Canovan 1999; Jagers & Walgrave 2007; Stavrakakis 2017; De Vreese et al. 2018), dan kepemimpinan autentik (Luthans & Avolio, 2003). Dengan paradigma konstruktivis, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan forensik komunikasi (Hamad, 2018) sebagai metode penelitian. Berdasarkan analisis dan interpretasi data, penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa temuan penelitian yang menunjukkan kebaruan. Autentisitas pemimpin politik dapat diforensik dengan basis artefak komunikasi di media sosial sehingga bisa mengungkap siapa paling autentik, motif, kontruksi motif, dan kebenaran representasinya. Pemimpin politik mengonstruksi pola autentisitasnya untuk menunjukkan kepada publik mereka bisa berbeda dengan pemimpin autentik lainnya. Pemimpin autentik mengonstruksi drama politik di media sosial dengan berbagai dialog, klimaks, dan emosi yang dimainkan dengan cara skenario dan spontanitas. Dengan media sosial, autentisitas bukan saja ditampilkan dalam bentuk kemasan oleh pemimpin politik, tetapi mengandung substansi yang membedakan antara satu pemimpin dengan pemimpin lainnya. Autentisitas bukan suatu ideologi, melainkan suatu strategi yang ditempuh seseorang pemimpin politik di media sosial untuk menunjukkan atau mempresentasikan dirinya. Meskipun bukan suatu ideologi yang menjadi cara pandang dan pemikiran, autentisitas tetap mengandung nilai dan standar. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pengembangan teori autentisitas termediasi media sosial, komunikasi politik populis dan kepemimpinan autentik. Penelitian ini mendorong agar publik perlu membangun kesadaran kolektif terkait autentisitas kepemimpinan politik.

This study aims to assess the authenticity of political leadership in messages developed by DKI Governor Anies Baswedan, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, and East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawangsa on their social media accounts, namely Instagram. The assessment is based on the concept of social media mediated authentication (Enli, 2015; Luebke, 2021), populist political leadership (Canovan 1999; Jagers & Walgrave 2007;  Stavrakakis 2017; De Vreese et al. 2018), and authentic leadership (Luthans & Avolio, 2003). With a constructivist paradigm, this study uses a qualitative approach with communication forensics (Hamad, 2018). Based on the analysis and interpretation of the data, this research produces several research findings that show novelty. The authenticity of political leaders can be forensically based on communication artifacts in social media so that they can reveal who is the most authentic, their motives, motives construction, and the truth of their representation. Political leaders construct their patterns of authenticity to show the public that they can be different from other authentic leaders. Authentic leaders construct political drama on social media with various dialogues, climaxes, and emotions that are played out by means of scenarios and spontaneity. With social media, authenticity is not only shown in the form of packaging by political leaders, but contains substance that distinguishes one leader from another. Authenticity is not an ideology, but a strategy adopted by a political leader on social media to show or present himself. Even though it is not an ideology that becomes a perspective and way of thinking, authenticity still contains values and standards. This research contributes to the development of social media mediated authentication theory, populist political communication and authentic leadership. This research encourages the public to build collective awareness regarding the authenticity of political leadership."

"Skripsi ini akan memberikan kajian terkait dinamika politik internal pada saat Jusuf Kalla memimpin Partai Golkar. Pada periode ini, lahir dua partai politik baru yaitu Partai Hanura dan Partai Gerindra yang didirikan oleh Wiranto dan Prabowo yang mempunyai hubungan erat dengan Partai Golkar. Pada masa ini, menjadi awal dari penguasaan Partai Golkar oleh para saudagar. Di sisi lain, sebagai partai pendukung pemerintah, Partai Golkar juga mengalami penurunan perolehan suara di Pemilu 2009 dibanding Pemilu 2004. Ketiadaan mekanisme manajemen konflik yang baik membuat partai ini akan selalu dibayangi perpecahan. Partai politik lain akan kembali lahir dari Partai Golkar. Setidaknya sudah ada tiga partai besar yang lahir dari Partai Golkar, yaitu Partai Demokrat, Partai Hanura dan Partai Gerindra.

This thesis will provide the internal political dinamic in the time of Jusuf Kalla lead Golkar Party. In this period, two political parties (Hanura and Gerindra) were born established by Wiranto and Prabowo that had close relation with Golkar Party. "Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana penerapan komunikasi politik dari kepemimpinan transformasional Gibran Rakabuming Raka sebagai Wali Kota Surakarta yang masih menjabat hingga saat ini dan sebagai kader salah satu partai politik. Penelitian dengan paradigma post-positivis ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemimpin menerapkan komunikasi politik di dalam pola kepemimpinan transformasional pada organisasi pemerintah daerah sehingga menghasilkan perubahan pengembangan (developmental change) khususnya dalam upaya meningkatkan kepercayaan publik kepada organisasi. Mengingat sebelumnya komunikasi politik yang dilakukan oleh Gibran masih diragukan oleh banyak pihak. Penelitian ini menunjukkan komponen bentuk komunikasi politik, tujuan dalam berkomunikasi politik serta strategi dengan kepemimpinan transformasional. Model kepemimpinan transformasional dengan gaya kepemimpinan yang visionary dan democratic juga turut membawa perubahan bagi Gibran.

The research aims to analyze the implementation of political communication by Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the current Mayor of Surakarta and as a member of a political party. This research, using a post-positivist paradigm, employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The findings of the research indicate that the leader applies political communication within the framework of transformational leadership in the local government organization, resulting in developmental change, particularly in efforts to enhance public trust in the organization. Considering the previous doubts surrounding Gibran's political communication, this study reveals the elements of political communication, the goals of political communication, and the strategies used in transformational leadership. The transformational leadership model, characterized by visionary and democratic leadership styles, also brings about changes for Gibran."

Hak politik perempuan masih diperjuangkan melalui berbagai bentuk kebijakan dan gerakan resmi dikarenakan rendahnya tingkat kepentingan perempuan dalam lingkup politik dari tahun ke tahun, berhasil mencitrakan politik Indonesia sebagai bidang publik yang didominasi oleh pria. Penelitian ini bertujuan menelaah secara komprehensif dan memberikan penekanan pada rasional dibalik fenomena kelemahan tingkat partisipasi politik perempuan berdasarkan wawancara mendalam dengan remaja pemilih pemula PILPRES 2019 dan followers akun Instagram @psi_id yang merupakan generasi millennial, serta temuan, literatur, dan dokumentasi dari Internet. Progresivitas millennial diharapkan mampu mengidentifikasi isu kepemimpinan perempuan dan keterkaitannya dengan konsep gender serta implikasi sistem sosial melalui perspektif yang cenderung lebih liberal dan ekstensif. Akun resmi media sosial partai politik Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI) dijadikan sebagai sarana penelitian karena selain generasi millennial adalah pemakai media sosial fanatik, PSI identik dengan keterwakilan politik perempuan sehingga dianggap mampu menjadi acuan kompeten pada strategi studi kasus penelitian. Studi ini kemudian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat narasi patriarkis yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap inferioritas perempuan dalam konteks kepemimpinan politik dan masih mengakar di Indonesia bahkan dalam lingkungan dengan penerapan pola pikir yang tergolong modern.

Womens political rights are still being advocated through various forms of official policies and movements due to the low level of womens interest in the political sphere from year to year, successfully portrayed Indonesian politics as a male-dominated world. This study aims to examine and emphasize comprehensively the rationale behind the phenomenon of womens low political participation based on in-depth interviews with PILPRES 2019 beginner voters and also @psi_ids active followers on Instagram, as well as findings, literature, and documentation from the Internet. Millennials progressive behavior and mindset are expected to better identify the issue of womens leadership and its relation to gender as a concept and possible implication of social system through a more liberal and extensive perspective. The official Instagram account of Indonesian political party Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI) is utilized as part of the research tools due to its correlation with womens political representation therefore considered as a competent reference in supporting the case study research strategy within this study. Instagram usage is also being stressed upon since millennial is a generation dubbed as fanatic social media users. This study then continues to display patriarchal narratives and its significant influence towards womens political leadership inferiority, which is still being deeply rooted in Indonesia even amongst the relatively modern environment.

"Tesis ini membahas tentang kepemimpinan Jawa terhadap Presiden SBY yang ditampilkan dalam kartun politik yang dimuat di Harian Rakyat Merdeka, kartun-kartun ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan kerangka analisis semiotika Roland Barthes. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivis. Dalam kesimpulannya, peneliti menemukan nilai-nilai kepemimpinan Jawa yang mana nilai-nilai kepemimpinan Jawa ini direpresentasikan melalui tindakan atau keputusan Presiden SBY yang digambarkan dalam kartun. Terhadap sebelas kartun yang dianalisis, diperlihatkan bahwa Presiden SBY banyak menampilkan prinsip kepemimpinan Smara Bhumi Adi-manggala yang memiliki peran sebagai pemersatu dari berbagai kepentingan dan berperan dalam menjaga perdamaian. Terkait dengan proses konstruksi media terhadap Presiden SBY dalam kartun, Kartunis memiliki kebebasan dalam menentukan tema, bahasa, tokoh, ataupun opini yang ditampilkan dalam kartunnya.

This thesis discusses about Java leadership of President SBY that featured in political cartoon published in the Rakyat Merdeka Daily, these cartoons were analyzed using Roland Barthes semiotics analysis. This study is a qualitative research with constructivist paradigm. In conclusion, researchers found Java leadership values ​​of President SBY ​​are represented through action or decision of the President illustrated in cartoons. Against eleven cartoons that have been analyzed, the dominant Javanese leadership principles showed by the President is Smara Adi-manggala Bhumi which has a role as a unifier of the various interests and to maintain peace. Associated with the construction process of the media against the President in cartoons, cartoonist have the freedom in deciding the theme, language, character, or opinions that appear in cartoons with very little interverence from the media."

"ABSTRAKTahun 2018 menjadi tahun Kemenangan Ridwan-Uu pada pemilihan Gubernur Jawa Barat 2018. Hal itu menjadi salah satu bukti bahwa media sosial memegang peranan penting dalam kampanye seperti yang telah dilakukan oleh Ridwan Kamil di Instagram. Karya ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pengelolaan konten Instagram Ridwan Kamil sebagai suksesi dalam keberhasilan kampanye pada Pilkada Jawa Barat. Peneliti menggunakan metode analisis konten kuantitatif untuk mengklasifikasikan seluruh objek penelitian berdasarkankategori dan studi literatur sebelumnya. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa Ridwan Kamil melakukan lima tahapan kampanye fungsional pada konten Instagram miliknya. Tahapan tersebut meliputi tahap identifikasi, tahap legitimasi, tahap partisipasi, tahap penetrasi, dan tahap distribusi. Setiap tahapan kampanye fungsional dijalankan sesuai dengan timeline kampanye yang dibagi setiap bulannya.

ABSTRACTThe year 2018 is the year of Ridwan-Uu s victory in the 2018 West Java Governor election. This is one proof that social media plays an important role in the campaign as Ridwan Kamil has done on Instagram. This work aims to describe how to manage Ridwan Kamil's Instagram content as a succession in the success of the campaign in the West Java Pilkada. The researcher uses the quantitative content analysis method to classify all research objects based on the categories and previous literature studies. The findings show that Ridwan Kamil carried out five stages of the functional campaign on his Instagram content. These stages include stages, stages of legitimacy, stages of participation, stages, and stages of distribution. Each stage of the functional campaign has done accordingto the campaign timeline that is divided every month."

"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai gaya kepemimpinan politik Joko Widodo dan faktor-faktor yang berperan dalam pembentukan gaya kepemimpinannya tersebut. Pemimpin sebagai sosok sentral memainkan peran kunci dalam penyelenggaraan pemerintahan. Publisitas media yang tinggi terhadap kepemimpinan Jokowi disebabkan karena gaya kepemimpinan dan kinerjanya selama menjabat sebagai Walikota Solo dan Gubernur DKI Jakarta yang dinilai baik. This research discusses about the political leadership style of Joko Widodo and the role factors of its establishment. A leader, as a central actor, plays a key role in the implementation of a government. High media publicity towards Jokowi`s leadership is caused by his good leadership and track record during his time in holding the office as a Mayor of Solo and a Governor of DKI Jakarta. The theory that is used to analyze Jokowi`s political track record in this research is the populist leadership style by John Lukacs and political socialization theory by Rush and Althoff. I find that environmental factor and political context are the main factors that establish Jokowi`s political leadership style. His high popularity with his populist policy and close to the society makes him as a leader with a populist leadership style."

"Partai politik memiliki peranan strategis untuk mendistribusikan kader menjadi wakil di pemerintahan. Faktanya, partai politik terjebak dalam arus korupsi dan dinilai sebagai lembaga yang paling tidak dipercaya oleh publik, khususnya di kalangan milenial. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, maka diperlukan upaya revitalisasi agar partai politik menjadi modern, inklusif dan dapat memberikan akses kepada pemuda untuk berkontribusi secara strategis. Perbaikan citra partai politik dapat berimbas terhadap menguatnya kepercayaan milenial untuk terlibat lebih jauh dalam partai politik. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah Ketua Umum DPP PSI, Ketua DPP PSI, Tenaga Ahli PSI, Anggota PSI, serta narasumber pembanding seperti Direktur Eksekutif Perludem. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan PSI menjadi partai politik yang berbadan hukum dan menjadi peserta pemilu tahun 2019 tak dapat dilepaskan dari kepemimpinan Grace Natalie dan pengurus lainnya dalam memberdayakan partisipasi politik kalangan milenial. Komposisi kepemimpinan pengurus PSI terbagi ke dalam tiga aspek, yaitu jenis dan gaya kepemimpinan, komunikasi politik, serta modal sosial yang dimiliki. Partisipasi politik yang telah diakomodir oleh PSI untuk kader dan anggotanya berjumlah 10 jenis partisipasi politik yang masuk dalam kategori electoral participation, consumer participation, party participation, protest activity, dan contacting Tantangan dalam pemberdayaan pemuda di PSI ada empat, yaitu intimidasi fisik, korban hoax dan fitnah, dilema ekonomi, dan ketidakpercayaan diri dalam berpolitik.

Political parties have a strategic contribution to distribute their cadres until they represent as part of the government. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with case study approach. Participants in this study consisted of the General Chairman of the DPP PSI, the Chairman of the DPP PSI, PSI Staff, PSI Members, and the expert opinion from Perludem Executive Director. The results of this study found that the leadership of Grace Natalie and other committee of PSI were success make PSI into become a legal party for being a participant in the 2019 and also empowering millennial generation to contribute in political participation. Grace Natalie and other commitee of PSI leadership aspect were divided into three aspects, namely the type and style of leadership, political communication, and social capital owned. Political participation had been accommodated by PSI for their cadres and members in the form of electoral participation, consumer participation, party participation, protest activity, and contacting. Unfortunately, in order to the empowerment of youth in PSI, they still have to face four big challenges such as physical intimidation, hoax and defamation, economic dilemmas and low self confidence in politics."

"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kemenangan pasangan Irwan Prayitno dan Nasrul Abit pada Pemilihan Kepala Daerah Provinsi Sumatera Barat tahun 2015. Kemenangan pasangan Irwan Prayitno dan Nasrul Abit ini disebabkan oleh tiga faktor, yaitu faktor jaringan sosial, dukungan partai politik dan kepemimpinan Irwan Prayitno. Dalam melakukan analisis, penulis menggunakan konsep social capital oleh Robert Putnam, modal politik dan kepemimpinan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan data primer dan data sekunder. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa kemenangan pasangan Irwan Prayitno dan Nasrul Abit disebabkan oleh modal sosial dan politik yang kuat yang bersumber dari faktor jaringan sosial dan dukungan partai politik pengusungnya. Selain itu, Kepemimpinan yang ditampilkan oleh Irwan Prayitno mampu mendapatkan kepercayaan dari masyarakat sehingga memperkuat modal sosial yang dimiliki oleh Pasangan Irwan Prayitno dan Nasrul Abit.

ABSTRAKThis research is based on the case of Irwan Prayitno and Nasrul Abit who won The Local Leaders Election in West Sumatera in 2015. The victory of Irwan Prayitno and Nasrul Abit was caused by three factors, such as social networks, support of political parties and Irwan Prayitnos leadership. By conducting and analyzing this research, the author uses the concept of social capital by Robert Putnam, therefore supported by political capital and leadership theory. This study uses qualitative methods with primary and secondary data. The research shows that the triumph of Irwan Prayitno and Nasrul Abit were strongly influenced by social and political capital which is originated by social networks and the support of political parties. Morever, the leadership which is showed by Irwan Prayitno was able to gain trust from the community so as to strengthen the social capital owned by Irwan Prayitno and Nasrul Abit."

"Penelitian ini membahas pelembagaan PKB di era kepemimpinan Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar selama dua periode 2014-2019 dan 2019-2024. Sebagai partai politik yang identik dengan basis warga NU, PKB menjadi partai politik yang memiliki ciri khas dalam rekrutmen dan kaderisasinya sehingga menarik untuk diteliti. Peneliti ingin melihat bagaimana PKB di era kepemimpinan Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar dari perspektif pelembagaan partai politik Randall dan Svasand dengan empat indikator yaitu kesisteman organisasi, identitas nilai, otonomi kebijakan, dan reifikasi selama 2014-2019 dan 2019-2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan tipe studi kasus. Berdasarkan temuan dan analisis menunjukkan PKB belum memiliki tingkat pelembagaan yang terukur dan terus melakukan adaptasi dengan situasi politik nasional. Kaderisasi dan rekrutmen politik PKB memiliki desain yang matang karena merupakan hasil dari porses adaptasi sejak awal berdiri hingga saat ini. Dengan mengacu kepada teori Vicky Randal dan Lars Svasand tentang Party Institutionalization in New Democracies, desain rekrutmen dan kaderisasi bekelindan dengan dimensi struktur maupun kultur partai politik. Di sisi struktur partai, desain kaderisasi dan rekrutmen politik menjadi bagian tidak terpisahkan dari derajat kesisteman dan otonomi keputusan. Sedangkan, di sisi kultur, desain kaderisasi dan rekrutmen politik menjadi bagian yang melekat pada nilai dan citra publik terhadap partai politik.

This study discusses the institutionalization of PKB in the era of Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar's leadership during the two periods 2014-2019 and 2019-2024. As a political party that is synonymous with the base of NU members, PKB is a political party that has characteristics in its recruitment and regeneration making it interesting to study. The researcher wants to see how PKB was in the era of Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar's leadership from the perspective of political party institutionalization Randall and Svasand with four indicators, namely organizational system, value identity, policy autonomy, and reification during 2014-2019 and 2019-2024. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study type. Based on the findings and analysis, it shows that PKB does not yet have a measurable level of institutionalization and continues to adapt to the national political situation. PKB's political cadre and recruitment has a mature design because it is the result of an adaptation process since its inception until now. By referring to the theory of Vicky Randal and Lars Svasand about Party Institutionalization in New Democracies, the design of recruitment and regeneration is intertwined with the dimensions of the structure and culture of political parties. On the party structure side, the design of political regeneration and recruitment is an integral part of the degree of systemicity and decision autonomy. Meanwhile, on the cultural side, the design of political regeneration and recruitment is an inherent part of the values ​​and public image of political parties."
