"Film Till We Meet Again (月老 Yuè Lǎo) adalah film drama fantasi yang menceritakan mengenai perjalanan seorang pemuda bernama Ah Lun menjadi dewa cinta untuk menebus dosanya agar dapat bereinkarnasi menjadi manusia. Dalam perjalanan Ah Lun dihadapkan oleh dua pilihan, yaitu memilih antara bersama Xiao Mi atau menjalankan tugasnya sebagai dewa cinta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan memaparkan konsep reinkarnasi yang ditunjukkan dalam film Till We Meet Again melalui aspek penokohan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aspek penokohan mempengaruhi tindakan yang diambil oleh Ah Lun dalam menyikapi konflik yang dialami. Tindakannya dalam menyikapi konflik tersebut mempengaruhi hasil akhir yang diterima Ah Lun dalam bereinkarnasi.Film ini memberikan pemahaman bahwa kebahagiaan tidak selalu ditandai dengan pertemuan kembali, tetapi kebahagiaan juga dapat dicapai melalui perpisahan dan pesan bahwa untuk selalu bersikap baik dan tidak menyia-nyiakan kesempatan untuk hidup.

Till We Meet Again (Yuè Lǎo) is a fantasy drama film about a young man named Ah Lun's journey to become a god of love in order to atone for his sins and be reborn as a human. On his journey, Ah Lun is faced with two choices: being with Xiao Mi or carrying out his duties as a god of love. This research aims to analyze and explain the concept of reincarnation shown in the film Till We Meet Again through the aspect of characterization. The method used in this research is the qualitative method. The results showed that the characterization aspects influenced the actions taken by Ah Lun in responding to the conflict experienced. The film conveys the message that happiness is not always marked by reunion, but can also be attained through separation, as well as the need to always be kind and not waste the opportunity to live."

"Beberapa budaya memiliki konsep dan kepercayaan mengenai kehidupan dan kematian manusia, salah satunya adalah konsep reinkarnasi. Reinkarnasi merupakan kelahiran kembali atau siklus tidak terputus antara kehidupan dan kematian. Salah-satu penulis yang mengangkat tema reinkarnasi adalah Putu Fajar Arcana dalam kumpulan cerpen Samsara. Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara konsep reinkarnasi yang tergambar pada cerpen “Requiem’, “Drupadi”, dan “Aku Cemas Menunggu Matahari” dalam kumpulan cerpen Samsara. Ketiga cerpen tersebut menarik untuk dikaji karena menggambarkan proses kompleks reinkarnasi yang dialami para tokoh dalam cerpen. Proses kompleks tersebut menarik untuk dibahas lebih dalam terhadap hubungannya dengan kepercayaan umat Hindu di Bali. Simbol-simbol umat Hindu dalam ketiga cerpen yang membedakannya dengan cerpen-cerpen lain dalam Samsara membuatnya semakin menarik untuk dikaji. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dengan pendekatan kritis melalui penelitian ini, penulis berusaha menunjukkan kesesuaian dan penyimpangan konsep reinkarnasi dalam ketiga cerpen terhadap konsep umum reinkarnasi umat Hindu di Bali. Dari kajian yang dilakukan penulis, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penggambaran konsep reinkarnasi dalam ketiga cerpen tersebut memperlihatkan kesesuaian dan ketidaksesuaian dengan kepercayaan Hindu. Kesesuaiannya terletak pada proses reinkarnasi para tokoh melalui karma, samsara, dan moksa dalam jiwa yang tetap sama. Ketidaksesuaian atau penyimpangan yang tergambar dalam ketiga cerpen adalah adanya tafsir baru penulis bahwa menjadi manusia belum tentu sebaik-baiknya wujud dalam bereinkarnasi.

Several cultures have their concepts and beliefs regarding the life and death of humans, one of which is the concept of reincarnation. Reincarnation is rebirth or an unbroken cycle between life and death. One of the writers who raised the theme of reincarnation is Putu Fajar Arcana in the short story collection Samsara. This study examines the relationship between the concept of reincarnation depicted in the short stories "Requiem", "Drupadi", and "Aku Cemas Menunggu Matahari" in the short story collection Samsara. The three short stories are interesting to study because they describe the complex process of reincarnation experienced by the characters in the short story. This complex process to be discussed in more depth in relation to the beliefs of Hindus in Bali. The symbols of Hindus in the three short stories that distinguish them from other short stories in Samsara make it even more interesting to study. Based on this, with a critical approach through this research, the author tries to show the suitability and deviation of the concept of reincarnation in the three short stories to the general concept of reincarnation of Hindus in Bali. From the study conducted by the author, it is concluded that the depiction of the concept of reincarnation in the three short stories shows conformity and incompatibility with Hindu beliefs. The suitability lies in the process of reincarnation of the characters through karma, samsara, and moksha in the soul that remains the same. The discrepancy or deviation depicted in the three short stories is the author's new interpretation that being human is not necessarily the best form of reincarnation."

"Gereja Hati Kudus Tuhan Yesus Ganjuran adalah Gereja bernuansa Jawa yang terletak di Bantul, Yogyakarta. Pasca gempa besar yang melanda Yogyakarta sebelas tahun lalu, Gereja ini mengalami pemugaran yang merubah bentuk gereja yang semula seperti Gereja pada umumnya menjadi Gereja yang bernuansa Jawa dan berbentuk Tajug. Aspek fisik dan nonfisik Gereja Ganjuran banyak diambil dari Kraton Yogyakarta, sehingga Gereja Ganjuran adalah reinkarnasi dari Kraton Yogyakarta. Selain itu, Orientasi pada kosmos adalah salah satu identitas dari Gereja ini. Skripsi ini mencoba membahas mengenai unsur apa saja yang dibawa dari Kraton Yogyakarta dan kemudian lahir kembali di Gereja Hati Kudus Tuhan Yesus Ganjuran.

Ganjuran Church is a Javanese themed church located in Bantul, Yogyakarta. Subsequent to the heavy earthquake in Yogyakarta eleven years ago, this church underwent a restoration which transformed the shape of the building. It was transformed from a regular church into a Javanese themed and Tajug shaped church. The physical and non physical aspects of Ganjuran Church is mainly adapted from Kraton Yogyakarta, so that Ganjuran Church can be called as its reincarnation. Furthermore, orientation in cosmos is one of the identity of this church. This work is an endeavour to discuss about the elements from Kraton Yogyakarta which is reincarnated in Ganjuran Church."

One of the films that present this is Cruella (2021), which is a remake of Disney classic 101 Dalmanation. This research studies the film Cruella (2021) to understand Estella’s morality, whether she is morally good or evil. The research applies Ayn Rand’s concept of 'virtues of selfishness' to determine Estella’s morality, which believes that humans rationally prioritize their lives as it is their responsibility to do so. It is necessary for their survival responsibility. The research applies textual analysis where I analyzed the dialogue, character's actions, and mise-en-scene elements in the film such as costume and lighting. This research concludes that Estella is a virtuous character, and this contests the popular opinion that views Estella as a villain.
