.....Background: As a dentist in providing health services to patients, they should use EBD treatment. Teaching EBD to dental students today is key to increasing the proportion of evidence-based care in the future. Objective: To find out various factors related to the knowledge and perceptions of students of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Indonesia regarding EBD. Methods: A cross-sectional study, the sampling method used a questionnaire via Google form, the sample size was 416 FKG UI students starting at the age of 18-25 years, class 2017-2021, the measurement tool used a Likert scale. The questionnaire consisted of 22 questions with 5 questions on the knowledge section (scale 1=true, 0=doubtful / don't know), 7 questions regarding access to knowledge sources (scale 1=Never, 2=rarely, 3=Sometimes, 4 = often, 5 = very often) and 10 questions regarding perception (scale 1 = Strongly disagree, 2 = Disagree, 3 = Neutral, 4 = Agree, 5 = Strongly agree). The data collection technique uses non-probability sampling with purposive sampling. The collected data was processed by testing between variables in a bivariate manner with continuity correction, pearson chi-square and binary logistic regression tests. Results: The results of the bivariate test showed that there was a relationship between age, the enrollment force and educational programs and knowledge of EBD (p-value <0.05). There is a relationship between educational programs and the incoming cohort with access to EBD knowledge sources (p-value <0.05). However, there is no relationship between age, gender, educational program, and intake force with perceptions of EBD. Conclusion: There are differences between preclinical and clinical education programs regarding access to EBD knowledge sources for FKG UI students."

Background: Dental education in Indonesia is divided into 2 educational programs, it is undergraduate programs and professional programs. In the undergraduate program, pediatric dentistry learning methods are carried out using problem-based learning and skills lab methods. In the professional program, pediatric dentistry competence is achieved by carrying out clinical skills and theoretical activities, with the knowledge and skills obtained from the undergraduate program. Self-confidence is needed in students doing clinical work. Confidence can be built from various things, one of which is competence. Objective: To analyze the correlation between the learning method of Pediatric Dentistry in the undergraduate program and the confidence of students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Indonesia professional program in the clinic. Methods: Data was taken online with a cross-sectional study on 95 students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Indonesia professional program class of 2016 using a questionnaire with 22 questions, regarding demographics, learning methods, and student self-confidence. Data analysis was performed with the Spearman correlation test using SPSS. Results: There is a significant and strong correlation (p = 0.001; r = 0.602) between the pediatric dentistry learning method in undergraduate programs and the confidence of professional program students while in the clinic. There was also a significant and moderate correlation between each learning method and professional program students' self-confidence (p = 0.001; r PBL = 0.536; r SL = 0.489). Conclusion: In this study, it was found that there was a strong correlation between pediatric dentistry learning methods in the undergraduate program with professional program student confidence in clinics and a moderate correlation between each learning method (problem-based learning and skills lab) and professional program student confidence in clinics."

Jumlah sampel 24 responden.
ABSTRACT
Evidence-Based Nursing Application Effect of Earplugs and Eye Mask on Quality Sleep in Patients in ICU. Sleep disorders in ICU are caused by many factors, including environment, noise, lighting, nursing activities, illness, nursing, medication therapy, and mechanical ventilation. The effects will affect the immune function, metabolic system, central nervous system regulation, and psychological conditions. The purpose of this study to apply and prove the effectiveness of the use of Earplug and Eye Mask in improving sleep quality in patients in ICU. The design used randomized controlled trial (RCT) crossover design. The researchers divide Group A and Group B by simple random sampling. The Total sample of 24 respondents. Sleep quality instrument using Richard Campbell Sleep Questionnaire (RCSQ). Data were analyzed by the Independent Sample T-Test. The result of this research is p-value <0,05, mean at alpha 5% there is a significant difference of sleep quality between first and second night in each group so it is suggested to be an evidence-based in a hospital as one of complementary therapy which can be made independent intervention nursing to help overcome sleep disorders."

"This book investigates the ways in which the evidence base is influencing complementary and alternative medicine in general and Ayurveda and allied health practices in particular. The latter have traditionally been prevalent in Asia and are now increasingly attracting interest worldwide. The book is divided into four sections, the first of which examines issues related to acquisition and evaluation of the evidence base. Evidence-based approaches to Ayurvedic diagnosis and therapy are then examined, with a special focus on management of cardiovascular and rheumatological diseases, dental care, and rejuvenating treatments. The final section explores further the challenges of applying evidence-based practice in contemporary and alternative medicine and Ayurveda with a focus upon the issues requiring urgent attention in ongoing decade. The same involves encompassing areas such as Ayurvedic pharmaceutics, practice, education and research within an evidence-based perspective."
