"Case of Ambalat is studied in the context of intelligence perspective. The case is important to study for four reasons : (1) The Ambalat block is part of Indonesia's territory; (2) The case has drawn serious public attention; (3) There is a bitter experience of losing two islands of Sipadan and Ligitan; (4) and the economic value of the area. The case of Ambalat came to prominence as a result of the issuing of exploration licenses for oil concession blocks by Malaysia to international oil giant Royal Dutch/Shell Group on 16 February 2005. Indonesia considered this claim was a violation of the state sovereignty.
From national security point of views, the claim was a matter of failures of Indonesia which involved two communities : policymakers and intelligence producers. These failures lead to the formulation of two research questions: why these communities fail to prevent claim over Ambalat to occur and how their interactions to prevent such claim to occur. To examine how these two communities relate to the failures, hypotheses have been set up : (1) The policymakers ignored the available information and therefore did not transfer intelligence requirement to the intelligence producers; (2) The intelligence producers ignored the available information or alternatively ignored policymaker's intelligence requirement; (3) Both policymakers and intelligence producers ignored the available information.
Using open sources and limited unclassified intelligence materials, the thesis comes with a tool of intelligence cycle to analyze different levels of command of both policymakers and intelligence producers. The outcome of this study reveals that both communities contribute to the failures. Recommendation goes to the Policymakers and Intelligence Producers to use this thesis outcome as a basis of their own performance evaluation.

Based on the background, two main problems are found behind this title, namely 1) What is the pattern of the spread of radicalism and hatred in Cilacap? 2) What is the Cilacap Police intelligence strategy in preventing radicalism and terrorism? The theory underlying the research is the theory of intelligence strategy and national resilience. The research method design used to analyze this research is descriptive qualitative, the data collection technique used is interviews. then where the collected data is then analyzed using theories related to intelligence strategy and national resilience. The results of this research show that people in the Cilacap area, who take part in religious activities or study at foundations or religious organizations that are indicated as radical, individually do not experience radicalization or currently still do not have a radical understanding. This is based on the results of the analysis which shows that the community does not past the ground floor of the stairs to terrorism. Which, when compared with the fights held in Nusakambangan Prison, shows that when they committed acts of terrorism, at that time they had reached the 5th floor in the characterization of the floor leading to terrorism. The intelligence strategy carried out by the Cilacap Police to prevent the spread of radicalism and terrorism is through the following stages, planning and directing, targeting outreach to areas that still have red (not yet green) status. "This thesis takes a critical look at the practice of industrial espionage. By focusing on one recent case of industrial espionage, the case occurred on 2002 involving major multinational such as Ericsson and Russian intelligence interferences, focus on current developments in the competitive intelligence gathering 'industry' and the ethical problems that are typically surfaced.
The argument is made that, from an ethical point of view, industrial espionage can be assessed according to three main considerations: the tactics used in the acquisition of information; the privacy of the information concerned; and the consequences for the public interest as a result of the deployment of the information by the intelligence gatherer. These issues are examined in the context of the case, and implications for the overall definition and assessment of industrial espionage are considered.
To complete the case analysis, author will make a study. A study needs to be conducted to show that security measures and counterintelligence techniques will reduce and resist the effects of economic espionage for companies. Economic espionage results in tremendous losses for the firms every year. A study needs to be done to show that these losses can be reduced and they should not be viewed as unavoidable.
The assumption are : with new and innovative security countermeasures and counterintelligence techniques in place, companies will be more prepared to detect and deter industrial spies from robbing them of their secrets. Through this study, the author feels that the implementation of security measures and counterintelligence techniques designed to prevent economic espionage would greatly benefit to the companies specially and state in general.
In term of research methodology, this study is planned to pattern a lesson learned from a case study, Using modeling approval, this thesis analyzes the Ericsson case and uses Insider Threat approach, Categorical Imperative theory Approach and Ethical Intelligence Approach."

Succession is a vital and inevitable process in a family company. Three variables, namely strategic initiatives, socio-emotional wealth, and resources will be proven to be related to the company's performance after succession. The research was conducted on two control variables, namely family companies with family successors and non-family successors. The results of a study of 103 family company respondents proved that CEO turnover from family and non-family had a different effect on company performance. The influence of strategic initiatives obtain the same results affects company performance, and the influence of resources to obtain the same results cannot affect company performance in the CEO's family or non-family. The socio-emotional influence on the CEO's family will affect company performance, and the socio-emotional wealth of non-family CEOs does not affect company performance."
