"Banyaknya potensi bahaya di lingkungan kampus Universitas Indonesia menyebabkan tingginya angka kejadian cedera yang terjadi. Kejadian cedera dapat memburuk dan menyebabkan kematian apabila tidak diberikan tindakan pertolongan pertama yang sesuai. Pengetahuan tentang pertolongan pertama penting untuk dimiliki oleh siapapun termasuk juga oleh seorang petugas keamanan yang bertugas sebagai first responders dalam menangani kasus kegawatdaruratan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan petugas PLK UI tentang pertolongan pertama. Penelitian cross sectional ini diikuti oleh 207 petugas PLK UI dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel systematic random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 53,1 responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik, 33,3 tingkat pengetahuan cukup, 11,6 tingkat pengetahuan kurang, dan 1,9 tingkat pengetahuan buruk. Disarankan untuk dapat dilakukannya penyegaran ilmu pengetahuan pertolongan pertama bagi petugas PLK UI melalui pelatihan-pelatihan maupun sumber informasi pengetahuan terbaru.

The high number of potential dangers in Universitas Indonesia cause high incidence of injuries. The incidence of such injury can be worse and even lead to death if there is no appropriate first aid action. Knowledge of first aid is important to be possessed by anyone including also a security officer who served as first responders in handling emergency cases.

The purpose of this research was to know the knowledge level of PLK UI officer about first aid. This cross sectional study was conducted among 207 PLK UI officers using systematic random sampling technique.

The results showed that 53.1 of respondents have good knowledge, 33.3 have enough knowledge level, 11.6 have less knowledge level, and 1.9 have bad knowledge level. This study recommend to refresh first aid knowledge for PLK UI officers through advance training and latest knowledge sources. "
