"The purpose of the present study was to determine the standard mesiodistal' diameter and bucolingual diameter of the crown size and the dental arch size in the primary and permanent dentition of Indonesian-Jakarta children. The samples were obtained from dental plaster models of 400 Indonesian-Jakarta children who were selected from a cross section of the population and who ranged in age from 3 1/2 years to 6 1/2 years and from 10 I/2 years to 13 I/2 years. The mean values of the mesiodistal and bucolingual diameter of primary dentition are found tended to be larger in boys than in girls. The mean values of the mesiodistal and bucolingual diameter of permanent dentition are found tended to be larger in boys than in girls. Also for mean values of the dental arch width and length of primary and permanent dentition are found tended to be larger in boys than in girls."

"Latar Belakang: Mahasiswa kedokteran gigi tingkat akhir memainkan peran penting dalam pelaksanaan perawatan kedokteran gigi di masa depan, termasuk perawatan yang melalui teledentistry, sehingga penting untuk mengetahui bagaimana minat mahasiswa-mahasiswa ini untuk menggunakan. Minat mahasiswa untuk menggunakan teledentistry dapat diprediksi oleh domain-domain Model UTAUT. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui kemampuan Model UTAUT beserta domain-domainnya untuk memprediksi minat mahasiswa profesi kedokteran gigi di Indonesia untuk menggunakan teledentistry. Metode: Penelitian deskriptif analitik potong lintang pada 472 mahasiswa profesi kedokteran gigi di Indonesia menggunakan kuesioner yang telah diadaptasi serta diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil: Model UTAUT dan dapat memprediksi mahasiswa kedokteran gigi untuk menggunakan teledentistry (R2 = 51,4%). Seluruh domain model UTAUT memiliki pengaruh terhadap BI mahasiswa untuk menggunakan (PE R2 = 0,328, EE R2 = 0,371, SI R2 = 0,382, FC R2 = 0,346). Karakteristik kesukarelaan mahasiswa memiliki hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik dengan minat menggunakan teledentistry. Kesimpulan: Model UTAUT dapat memprediksi minat mahasiswa kedokteran gigi di Indonesia untuk menggunakan teledentistry dan seluruh domain nya memiliki pengaruh terhadap minat penggunaan teledentistry. Karakteristik kesukarelaan mahasiswa dapat mempengaruhi minat untuk menggunakan teledentistry.

Background: Final year dental students play an important role in the implementation of future dental care including those through teledentistry, so it is important to know how interested these students are in using teledentistry. Interest (Behavioral Intention (BI)) can be predicted by the UTAUT Model’s construct (PE, EE, SI & FC).

Objective: To determine the ability of the UTAUT model in predicting the interest of dental students to use teledentistry and to determine the relationship between the characteristics of dental students and their interest.

Method: Cross-sectional analytic descriptive study on 472 dentistry students using a questionnaire that has been adapted and tested for its validity and reliability.

Results: The UTAUT model was significant in predicting the behavioral intention of dental students to use teledentistry (R2 = 51,4%). All domains of the UTAUT model have influence on students’ BI to use teledentistry (R2 = 0.328, 0.371, 0.382, 0.346). Voluntariness of use has a significant relationship with interest in using teledentistry.

Conclusion : The UTAUT model can predict dental students in Indonesia’s interest to use teledentistry and all of its domains have influence on the interest in using teledentistry. Student’s voluntariness of use also affected their interest in using teledentistry."
