"This articles aims at describing the essay test, how to compose them and how to use scoring rubric or scoring criteria in assessing the students answer. They are some advantages because of its function to know about testee's competences in higher level thinking, such as: to analyze, to interpret, to sinthesize, to evaluate and to predict something. This test is also effective in assessing complex learning outcomes, relatively easy to construct and guessing is eliminated. On the contrary it is difficult to be scored objectively because there is no common set of criteria for all students in essay test, score are as unreliable, well as effect or personal judgment wich can be catagorized as the disadvantages of essay text. To prevent the disadvantages, evaluators may use "the guidelines for writing clear essay questions" such as using key words to specify thinking process, stating requirements limits and giving weights to questions. Evaluators can also make scoring rubrics to assess students answer to avoid unreliabilities."

"This study was held to find English learning strategy used by 62 high school students in Yogyakarta who attended English courses and to discover their different level of intrinsic motivation and learning style. Oxford's theory of language learning strategy (1990), Amabile,s theory of intrinsic motivation (1994) and reid,s theory of learning style (1978) were employed in the study. The data which were collected through Language Learning Strategy Scale, intrinsic Motivation Scale and learning Style Scale, analyzed with two way of ANOVA statistical technique. The results showed th was a significant difference of language learning strategy employed by the students with high , moderate and low level of intrinsic motivation (F=41.852,p<0.05). There was no significant difference of learning strategy used by the students with visual, auditory, individual or group learning style. Cognitive and meta cognitive strategies were the most frequent strategy applied by all the students. Auditory learning style and group styles were dominantly employed among students."

"ABSTRAKProgram Pengabdian Masyarakat (PKM) yang dilaksanakan di Kampung Silongong, Koleang,bertujuan supaya masyarakat sebagai pihak PKM memiliki keterampilan khusus yang memilikinilai ekonomis agar masyarakat lebih mandiri. Hal ini didasarkan pada permasalahan yangditemukan berkaitan dengan penyusunan laporan akhir kegiatan PKM. Permasalahan yangditemukan, antara lain: 1) Tingkat wirausahawan di Kampung Silongong masih cukup rendah;2) Permasalahan sosial yang disebabkan karena faktor geografis. Solusi yang ditawarkan ialah:1) Memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan kerajinan tangan pembuatan pom-pom dan bros untukanak-anak sekolah menengah atas di SMK Ar-Rahman; 2) Memberikan penyuluhan, pelatihan,dan bantuan fisik berupa bibit penanaman tanaman sayuran sebanyak 180 tanaman dengan metodepolybag yang terdiri dari tanaman sayuran cabe, kangkung, bayam dan seledri; 3) Memberikanpelatihan, penyuluhan dan memberikan bantuan fisik, ikut serta dan aktif menjadi panitia dalamberbagai kegiatan di Kampung Silongong serta melaksanakan program belajar mengajar bagianak-anak. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini diharapkan dapat memajukan dan mensejahterakanKampung Silongong, untuk menuju Kampung Silongong yang lebih baik."
