"This "Good Practice Guide" introduces the core knowledge and essential skills needed to undertake building condition surveys. Concentrating on the private homes sector - the source of most surveying work in the UK - and based on a lifetime of practical experience, it begins by providing a helpful summary of many frequently confused terms, before taking the reader through the key steps of a professional building condition survey."

"Determining the need for a survey is a struggle most training professionals have faced. This Infoline takes some of the guesswork out of the process by helping you determine when to conduct a survey, what type of survey to use, whom to survey, what to ask, and how to get needed information. The issue covers face-to-face interviews, telephone interviews, written questionnaires, and electronic surveys."

"Malaysia’s 13th general election, held 5 May 2013, saw an unprecedentedly close race between the incumbent Barisan Nasional (National Front, BN) and Pakatan Rakyat (People’s Alliance, Pakatan) coalitions. For the first time in Malaysian history, a challenger coalition not only kept the BN from regaining the two-thirds parliamentary super-majority it had lost in the previous election, in 2008, but eked out a slim majority of the popular vote. While many Malaysian election is a big event, this one in particular merits close scrutiny. The present volume offers evidence and analysis with which to probe both the merits of common interpretations of who voted how, and why, and to suggest new readings on Malaysian politics."
