"The emergence of the welfare state form in the West positions women in the traditional role in the domestic sphere. In the context of Indonesia, the critique presented by the feminist in the west to the concept of state and family welfare cannot directly be used to analyze how the country put the women in the family welfare policies. By using some concepts of the state welfare, this paper will explain the bias in formulating the position of women in social policy in the field of family welfare in Indonesia. Social policy for women within the family unit is still discriminatory against women. This is a consequence of the model family with a male breadwinner. The guarantee of women's and children's rights is determined by the legitimacy and their relationship with the husband as head of the family. For poor women the economy and domestic job work is not an option but a requirement. Woman as the head of household is a unique picture of the viability of women from the poverty of the families. These symptoms should be seen as the practice criticizing the assumption of the family model with a male breadwinner. These examples may be early clues to search defamilization concept in Indonesia."

"ABSTRAK Meningkatnya prevalensi perokok di Indonesia menimbulkan kekhawatiran,terlebih diikuti dengan meningkatnya prevalensi perokok perempuan. Hasilpenelitian menunjukan bahwa risiko merokok pada perempuan lebih tinggidibandingkan laki-laki, baik kanker, jantung terutama pada kesehatan reproduksi.Perokok perempuan memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dibandingkan laki-laki.Mereka sering merasa ambivalen, tidak siap untuk berubah dan memilikikepercayaan diri yang rendah terhadap keberhasilan mengatasi ketergantunganrokoknya. Hal ini merupakan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan sulitnya berhentimerokok. Faktor kesiapan berubah merupakan langkah awal yang sangat pentingbagi terjadinya perubahan perilaku merokok. Oleh karena ini terapi mengenaipeningkatan kesiapan berubah menjadi isu yang sangat penting. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk melihat efektifitas Motivational Enhancement Therapy, yangdiadaptasi dari Project MATCH yang disusun oleh Miller, Zweben, DiClementedan Rychtarik dalam meningkatkan kesiapan berubah pada perempuan dewasamuda dengan ketergantungan rokok. Intervensi ini bertujuan untuk menggaliambivalensi dan meningkatkan motivasi internal untuk meningkatkan kesiapanberubah pada perilaku merokoknya. Intervensi ini dilakukan sebanyak lima sesidengan melibatkan empat partisipan. Setelah dilakukan intervensi, seluruhpartisipan mengalami perubahan tingkat kesiapan berubah serta dua partisipandiikuti dengan perubahan perilaku merokok. Dari hal ini, dapat disimpulkanbahwa Motivational Enhancement Therapy efektif dalam meningkatkan kesiapanberubah pada perempuan usia dewasa muda dengan ketergantungan rokok.

ABSTRACT The increasing prevalence of smokers in Indonesia creates concern, in particularthe increased prevalence of female smokers that entails. Research has shown thatthe risks causes by cigarettes in relation to cancer, heart disease, and reproductionare higher in female smokers compare to male. Female smokers have distinctcharacteristics in comparison to male. They often become ambivalent, not ready tochange and have relatively low level of confidence in their effort to overcometheir dependency. These factors lead to difficulty to quit smoking. Readiness tochange factor is essential as the first step in influencing and improving smokingbehavior. Therefore, therapy on how to enhance the level of readiness to changebecomes an important issue. This research aims to observe MotivationalEnhancement Therapy effectiveness, adapted from MATCH Project compiled byMiller, Zweben, DiClemente, and Rychtarik, in enhancing the extent of readinessto change in women with smoking dependence. The purpose of this intervention isto solve ambivalently and to increase internal motivation among female smokersin enhancing the readiness to change on their smoking behavior. Five sessionsinvolving four participants were conducted for the intervention. All participantsexperience an enhancement in their readiness to change after the intervention,while an improvement on their smoking behavior are also found on two of theparticipants. From this, it can be concluded that Motivational EnhancementTherapy is effective in enhancing the readiness to change in women with smokingdependence."

"ABSTRACTMany KoreanChinese are staying in Korea for economic reasons, and unlike other foreign unskilled workers, their children are allowed to accompany them. The right to education is a premise of human dignity and other fundamental rights it is desirable to recognize at least the right to the necessary conditions for receiving compulsory education for the KoreanChinese children living in Korea. In addition, pursuant to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Korean government has an obligation to guarantee all children free elementary education and public education. The current legislation lacks a basis for the obligations of the state or parents with foreign nationality to provide compulsory education to their children. Also, as the current legislation lacks specificity in the contents of the law, implementation of the policy is left to the discretion of the state. Efforts should be made to ensure that as many KoreanChinese children as possible enjoy practical educational rights. Although it is important for the judiciary to actively consider the right to education in the Constitution and in international treaties, legislative efforts are also important. As cases in foreign countries suggest, cooperation between the private sector and the government should be considered."
