Meskipun dianggap penting dan strategis, pada kenyataannya banyak perusahaan yang memandang organisasi TI mereka hanya sebagai unit bisnis yang bersifat sebagai cost center, dan bukan sebagai bagian yang ikut serta secara langsung mengalirkan pendapatan bagi perusahaan atau dengan kata lain sebagai profit center.Untuk melakukan perubahan organisasi TI dari cost center menjadi profit center bukanlah hal yang mudah. Ada beberapa hal yang perlu menjadi perhatian dan pertimbangan dalam melakukan kajian transformasi termasuk faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penerapannya, manfaat dan tantangan penerapannya, bagaimana model konseptual penerapannya, dan juga bagaimana proses transformasi itu sendiri dapat berlangsung.Penelitian ini akan membahas tentang model konseptual organisasi TI sebagai profit center. Pemetaan dilakukan dengan membandingkan antara penerapan organisasi TI sebagai cost center dengan penerapannya sebagai profit center. Penelitian ini juga membahas aspek-aspek lain yang terkait dengan penerapan organisasi TI sebagai profit center, yaitu aspek manajemen, organisasi, sumber daya manusia, produk dan layanan, dan pemasaran.

ABSTRACTThe presence of IT in the company is important. The company considers that there are values achieved through the implementation of IT-based business solutions. Although considered to be strategic and important, in fact, many companies are looking at their IT organizations as cost center not as part of business unit that gives revenue stream for the company or in other word as a profit center.It is not easy to transform the IT organization from a cost center into a profit center. There are some things to be considered in the assessment of the transformation including the factors that affect the implementation, benefits and challenges of implementation, how the conceptual model of the application, as well as how the process of transforming itself can take place.This study discusses the conceptual model of the IT organization as a profit center. The concept of a profit center for the IT organization can be built through the application of intrapreneurship within the IT organization and the establishment of IT chargeback policy. Mapping the conceptual model of the IT organization as a profit center is done with Business Model Canvas (BMC) which consists of nine elements which are customer segments, value propositions, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partners, and cost structure. Mapping is done by comparing the implementation of the IT organization as a cost center and as a profit center. This study also discusses other aspects related to the implementation of the IT organization as a profit center including the aspects of management, organizational, human resources, products and services, and marketing."

"Manggarai merupakan salah satu kawasan yang pertumbuhan penduduknya meningkat pesat sehingga mengakibatkan kepadatan yang tinggi pada ruang kotanya. Ruang terbuka hijau dan ruang-ruang publik dapat dikatakan sangat kurang sehingga anak-anak dan remaja tidak memiliki tempat untuk bermain, bereksplorasi, dan belajar di lingkungan alam. Hal ini telah terbukti dengan adanya perpecahan, seperti tawuran anak-anak yang terjadi di Manggarai. Hal tersebut menandakan bahwa kurangnya edukasi yang diberikan secara baik kepada mereka. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk menghadirkan fasilitas yang dapat memberikan lingkungan yang interaktif dimana anak-anak dapat mengeksplorasi berbagai bidang dan aktivitas sesuai dengan usianya sehingga dapat merangsang kreativitas, berpikir kritis, dan menemukan bakat pada anak secara lebih dini agar terhindar dari dilema di masa depan. Dari konteks tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tugas akhir ini akan merancang sebuah children’s discovery center yang dapat mengarahkan anak-anak untuk mengidentifikasi potensinya.

Manggarai is one of the areas where population growth is increasing rapidly, resulting in high density in the city. It can be said that green open spaces and public spaces are lacking, so children and teenagers do not have a place to play, explore, and learn in the natural environment. This has been proven by the existence of divisions, such as the children's brawl that occurred in Manggarai. This indicates that there is a lack of proper education given to them. Therefore, it is important to provide facilities that can provide an interactive environment where children can explore various fields and activities according to their age so that they can stimulate creativity, critical thinking and discover talents in children early to avoid dilemmas in the future. From this context, it can be concluded that this final assignment will design a children's discovery center that can direct children to identify their potential."
