"Skripsi ini membahas tentang bagaimana
leisure terjadi dalam keseharian ibu rumah tangga dalam ruang domestik, yaitu rumah.
Leisure adalah sebuah momen di mana terjadi perubahan. Di dalamnya terdapat dimensi-dimensi, seperti kebebasan memilih, motivasi intrinsik, kesenangan, relaksasi, interaksi dan ekspresi diri, yang membuat seseorang menerima suatu momen sebagai
leisure. Leisure tidak dapat disamakan dengan rekreasi atau waktu luang karena
leisure adalah pengalaman. Ruang domestik yang berkaitan dengan waktu, ruang dan aktivitas menjadi salah satu
container dari leisure bagi ibu rumah tangga. Selain itu, ruang domestik juga menjadi salah satu
container domain, yaitu segala hal yang bersifat
obligatory dan terjadi secara rutin, bagi ibu rumah tangga. Momen
leisure terjadi di antara domain dan dapat terlihat setelah domain teridentifikasi. Pembentukan momen
leisure didorong oleh faktor preferensi pribadi, kehadiran orang lain dan perubahan yang mencakup perubahan ruang dan aktivitas. Hasil studi menemukan bahwa preferensi pribadi merupakan faktor pembentuk momen
leisure yang paling mendasar. Sedangkan faktor lain, yaitu kehadiran orang lain dan perubahan menjadi faktor tambahan pembentuk momen
leisure yang dialami. Selain itu, studi ini juga menemukan bahwa tidak seluruh bagian dari rumah adalah domain ibu rumah tangga dan terjadi
overlapping domain dan
leisure di beberapa bagian rumah. Temuan skripsi ini menunjukkan pentingnya ruang domestik untuk dapat mewadahi domain sekaligus
leisure dalam keseharian ibu rumah tangga.
This study discusses how leisure occurs in the everyday life of housewives at home as a domestic space. Leisure is a moment in which changes occur. It contains dimensions, such as freedom of choice, intrinsic motivation, pleasure, relaxation, interaction and self-expression, that make a person perceive a moment as leisure. Leisure is different with recreation or leisure time as leisure is an experience. Domestic space, which relate with space, time, and activity is one of the containers of leisure for housewives. Besides, it is also a container of domain, which is everything that is obligatory that occurs as a routine for housewives. The moment of leisure occurs in between domain and can be recognized after the domain is identified. The occurrence of moment of leisure is affected by some factors such as personal preference, the presence of others and changes that include changes in space and activity. The study discovers that personal preference is the basic forming factor of the moment of leisure. Whereas the other factors, namely the presence of others and change, become additional forming factors of moments of leisure. In addition, this study identifies that not all parts of the house are domain for housewives and there are overlapped spaces of domain and leisure in some parts of the house. The findings of this thesis show the importance of domestic to accommodate domain as well as leisure in the everyday life of housewives."
