"Kajian tentang Good University Governance GUG relatif baru dan belum konklusif. Bahkan dalam kerangka kontinjensi belum ada penelitian tentang pengaruh antara GUG dan kinerja dengan menempatkan variabel-variabel konteks yang umum di sektor privat seperti akuntansi manajemen, teknik manajemen dan strategi bisnis sebagai mediasinya dalam satu model fit. Teori kontinjensi menyebutkan bahwa konteks yang berbeda akan menghasilkan kinerja yang berbeda. Penelitian atas 231 Program Studi Akuntansi di Indonesia ini dengan menggunakan Struktural Equation Model dan pendekatan mediasi fit membuktikan adanya peran konteks tersebut. Penelitian ini memberikan bukti empiris bahwa hubungan GUG dan kinerja dipengaruhi oleh penerapan akuntansi manajemen, penerapan teknik manajemen dan pilihan prioritas strategi sebagai mediasi fit. Terjadi keragaman pengaruh GUG terhadap kinerja beserta mediasinya baik dari signifikansi, besaran, maupun arah hubungan yang ditentukan oleh konteks: PTN, PTS, dan PTS berakreditasi A dan B secara khusus dan sektor publik secara umum.

Studies on Good University Governance GUG is relatifely new and has not been conclusive. However, within the contigency framework has been no research on the effects of GUG and performance by placing context variables are common in the private sector such as management accounting, management techniques and business strategies as mediation in a fit model. Contingency theory states that a different context would produce a different performance. Research on 231 Accounting Study Program in Indonesia by using Structural Equation Model and fit as mediation approach proved the existence of its context. This study provides empirical evidence that the relationship GUG and performance is affected by the implementation of management accounting, the management techniques and the clarity of selection of strategic priorities as mediation fit. There are variation the influences GUG on performance and its mediation variables, of the significance, magnitude, and direction of the relationship is determined by PTN, PTS, and PTS accredited A and B in particular and the public sector in general."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses
pengembangan brand yang dilakukan oleh perguruan tinggi dan bagaimana posisi
komunikasi pemasaran dalam pengembangan brand tersebut. Peneliti
menggunakan model pengembangan brand milik Leslie de Chernatory yang
terdiri dari brand vision, budaya organisasi, brand objective, audit brandsphere,
brandessence, internal implementation dan brand resource, serta brand
evaluastion. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kegiatan komunikasi pemasaran terkait
pengembangan brand berada pada fase internal implementation dan brand
resource. Kegiatan komunikasi pemasaran dalam perguruan tinggi dilakukan oleh
bagian humas dan bagian promosi. Inti dari kegiatan komunikasi pemasaran
dalam pengembanagn brand adalah kesesuaian isi pesan dan media terhadap
tujuan yang diharapkan. Perguruan tinggi yang sedang mengembangkan
mereknya harus memahami tujuan merek mereka dan mampu
mengkomunikasikannya baik secara internal maupun eksternal dengan efektif

ABSTRACT
This research aims to understad how the brand development activity is carried out
by universities and how marketing communications position in the development
of the brand. Researchers used Leslie de Chernatory’s model of brand
development which is consists of brand vision , organizational culture , brand
objectives , audit brandsphere , brandessence , internal implementation and brand
resource, and brand evaluastion . Based on the results of this research , marketing
communication activities is related to brand development activity. Marketing
communication activities in university institution are conducted by public
relations and promotion department. The main point of marketing
communications activities in brand development is the suitability between the
content of the message and the media to reach the goals . Universities which are
developing their brand must understand the purpose of their brand and they have
to be able in communicating effectively."
