Salah satu hal penting yang harus dilakukan untuk menjadi seorang apoteker yang profesional dan kompeten adalah berpartisipasi secara langsung dalam praktik kefarmasian. Oleh karena itu, calon apoteker dituntut untuk menjalani praktik profesi sebagai bekal dan pengalaman untuk memahami peran apoteker dan meningkatkan kompetensi sebelum memasuki dunia kerja. Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker dilaksanakan di PT. Kalbio Global Medika periode Januari – Februari 2022 dan Apotek Kimia Farma Jatirahayu periode Mei 2022. Melalui proses PKPA di industri farmasi dan apotek tersebut, calon apoteker diharapkan mampu memperoleh wawasan, keterampilan, pengetahuan, dan pengalaman yang sesuai untuk melakukan pekerjaan kefarmasian.

One of the most crucial things that should be done to be a professional and competent pharmacist is to participate directly in the practice of pharmacy. Therefore, prospective pharmacists are required to undergo professional practice to gather knowledge and experience to understand the role of pharmacists and increase competence before entering the world of work. Professional Practice of Pharmacist are held at PT. Kalbio Global Medika from January to February 2022 and Apotek Kimia Farma on May 2022. Through these activities, prospective pharmacists should be able to obtain the proper insight, skills, knowledge, and experience to perform well in pharmaceutical practice."

"Profesi Apoteker merupakan profesi yang penting dalam pekerjaan kefarmasian untuk membangun tenaga kesehatan profesional yang dapat berkerja dalam pelayanan kefarmasian dan manajemen kefarmasian. Untuk menjalankan tugas apoteker tersebut, seorang Apoteker harus berperan atau berkontribusi dalam praktik kefarmasian yang bertujuan untuk membawa ilmu dan pengalaman agar dapat memahami peran Apoteker, meningkatkan kompetisi, serta membangun kode etik profesi sebelum memasuki dunia kerja. Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker dilaksanakan di PT Aventis Pharma Indonesia periode Januari – Maret 2022, PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari periode April 2022, dan Apotek Roxy periode Mei 2022. Dengan program praktik ini, calon Apoteker diharapkan dapat memperoleh pengalaman, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan yang sesuai dalam melakukan pekerjaan kefarmasian di industri farmasi, pedagang besar farmasi, dan apotek.

Pharmacist profession is an important proffesion in pharmaceutical work to build a health care proffesional that can work in pharmaceutical care and pharmaceutical management. To carry out the those tasks, a pharmacist must play a role or contribute to Proffesional Pharmaceutical Practice which aims to bring knowledge and experience in order to understand the role of pharmacists, increase competition, and build a professional code of ethics before entering the world of work. Proffesional Pharmaceutical Practice is held at PT Aventis Pharma Indonesia in January – March 2022 period, PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari in April 2022 period, and Roxy Pharmacy in May 2022 period. In this Proffesional Pharmaceutical Practice program, a future pharmacist is expected to gain experience, knowledge, and appropriate skills in performing pharmaceutical jobs in pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical distributor, and pharmacy."

"Apoteker merupakan profesi yang didapatkan seorang sarjana farmasi setelah lulus dari program pendidikan profesi apoteker dan lulus Ujian Kompetensi Apoteker Indonesia (UKAI). Seorang apoteker selanjutnya dapat berkarir di industri (obat, obat tradisional, kosmetik), pedagang besar farmasi (PBF), apotek, rumah sakit, puskemas, maupun klinik. Sebagai perbekalan calon apoteker untuk terjun ke dunia kerja kedepannya, dilaksanakan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) sebagai bagian dari kurikulum program studi profesi apoteker. PKPA dilaksanakan di PT Mahakam Beta Farma pada periode Januari – Februari 2022 ditempatkan di divisi Pemastian Mutu dan Apotek Roxy Pitara periode Mei 2022. Saat melaksanakan PKPA di PT Mahakam Beta Farma, calon apoteker berfokus pada bagian dokumentasi, terutama pembuatan Product Quality Review (PQR). Kemudian, saat melaksanakan PKPA di Apotek Roxy Pitara, calon apoteker belajar bagaimana melakukan pengelolaan sediaan farmasi, alat kesehatan, dan Bahan Medis Habis Pakai (BMHP) serta melakukan pelayanan farmasi klinik. Calon apoteker diharapkan dapat belajar dan mendapatkan pengalaman, pengetahuan, serta keterampilan yang dapat mendukung calon apoteker tersebut kedepannya lewat PKPA di industri dan apotek.

A pharmacist is a profession that is obtained by a pharmacy graduate after graduating from the pharmacist professional education program and passing the Indonesian Pharmacist Competency Examination (UKAI). A pharmacist can then have a career in industry (drugs, traditional medicines, cosmetics), pharmaceutical wholesalers (PBF), pharmacies, hospitals, health centers, and clinics. As provosion for prospective pharmacists to enter the world of work in the future, the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) is carried out as part of the pharmacist profession study program curriculum. PKPA was implemented at PT Mahakam Beta Farma in the period January – February 2022 placed in the Quality Assurance division and Roxy Pitara Pharmacy for the period May 2022. Prospective pharmacists focus on the documentation section, especially the manufacture of Product Quality Review (PQR) at PT Mahakam Beta Farma. Then, prospective pharmacists learn how to manage pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices, and Medical Consumables (BMHP) and perform clinical pharmacy services at Roxy Pitara Pharmacy. Prospective pharmacists are expected to learn and gain experience, knowledge, and skills that can support future pharmacists on their next journey through PKPA in industry and pharmacy."

"Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) adalah program kerja yang bertujuan untuk membekali mahasiswa calon apoteker mengenai peran, fungsi, dan tanggung jawab apoteker di sarana pekerjaan kefarmasian, yaitu rumah sakit, industri farmasi, apotek, puskesmas, dan Pedagang Besar Farmasi (PBF). Mahasiswa calon apoteker diharapkan memiliki wawasan, pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan pengalaman untuk melakukan pekerjaan kefarmasian secara profesional. Kegiatan PKPA dilakukan di industri farmasi dan apotek, yaitu PT Clinisindo Laboratories dan Apotek Kimia Farma Utama Raya secara berturut-turut. PKPA di PT Clinisindo Laboratories dilaksanakan pada periode Januari - Februari 2022, sementara PKPA di Apotek Kimia Farma Utama Raya dilaksanakan pada periode Maret 2022. Pada PKPA di PT Clinisindo Laboratories, penulis melaksanakan pengkajian terhadap beberapa software yang dapat digunakan dalam sistem manajemen informasi laboratorium, yaitu LabSolution CS, NuGenesis SDMS, dan Agilent SLIMS. Pada PKPA di Apotek Kimia Farma Utama Raya, penulis melaksanakan analisis Pareto ABC dan kegiatan pelayanan farmasi klinik di apotek. Dengan demikian, mahasiswa calon apoteker memeperoleh ilmu yang bermanfaat untuk pengabdiannya kelak sebagai seorang apoteker yang profesional.

Professional pharmacist work practice is a work program that aims to equip prospective pharmacist students about the roles, functions, and responsibilities of pharmacists in pharmaceutical work facilities, namely hospitals, pharmaceutical industries, pharmacies, health centers, and pharmaceutical wholesalers. Pharmacist students are expected to have the insight, knowledge, skills, and experience to do pharmacy work professionally. Professional pharmacist work practice activities are carried out in the pharmacy store and pharmacy industry, namely PT Clinisindo Laboratories and Apotek Kimia Farma Utama Raya, respectively. Professional pharmacist work practice at PT Clinisindo Laboratories was carried out in the period January - February 2022, while professional pharmacist work practice at Apotek Kimia Farma Utama Raya was carried out in the period March 2022. In PT Clinisindo Laboratories, the authors carried out an assessment of several software that can be used in laboratory information management systems, namely LabSolution CS, NuGenesis SDMS, and Agilent SLIMS. In Apotek Kimia Farma Utama Raya, the authors carried out Pareto ABC analysis and clinical pharmacy service activities at pharmacy store. Thus, pharmacist students gain useful knowledge for their future service as a professional pharmacist."

Wawasan dan pemahaman tersebut didapatkan dengan adanya pembelajaran secara teoritis dan praktis. Dengan adanya kegiatan PKPA ini, mahasiswa mampu menambah wawasan, keterampilan, dan ilmu pengetahuan dalam melakukan praktik dan pekerjaan kefarmasian secara langsung di apotek.

In order to become a competent pharmacist, prospective pharmacists must have good insight and understanding of the pharmacy practice to be carried out. These insight and understandings are obtained through theoretical and practical learning. For the sake of realizing a professional pharmacist in doing pharmacy practice, one of the important things to do is directly in carrying out work and pharmaceutical practice in the pharmaceutical institutions, such as the pharmacies, public health center, and pharmaceutical industry. With this internship, students are able to build insights, skills, and knowledge in pharmaceutical practice directly in pharmaceucitcal intitutions."
