As one of the top producers of crude palm oil in the world, Indonesia also become a country with huge amount of by-products as a result of palm extraction process. In order to anticipate environment contamination and to preserve natural resources, one of the palm oil by-products, which is oil palm shell, is utilized as natural coarse aggregate substitute in lightweight concrete mix. Based on prior laboratorium test results, reinforced lightweight OPS concrete has capacity up to 6 tons. In this research, numerical modelling is implemented on the reinforced lightweight OPS concrete and the experimental result serves as the validation. The models are built using CAST3M software and the OPS concrete beams are modelled with Timoshenko’s multi-fiber beam element approach. The analysis focuses on material non-linearity and done up to non-linear phase. The result of this research consists of OPS concrete beam behavior while loaded which observed up to its failure, force vs displacement graph, stress field, and non-linear strain pattern. In conclusion, the OPS concrete beam model reached its non-linear phase after loading surpassed 5 tons and able to withstand loads up to 6 tons while endured great deformation. This indicates that OPS concrete is a ductile material and can be implemented as structural component in simple buildings, like simple 2-storey houses. Overall, modelling result shows similarities with experimental result, giving the conclusion that the models are validated and succeeded at simulating OPS concrete beam.

Sebagai salah satu negara penghasil minyak kelapa sawit terbesar di dunia, Indonesia juga menjadi negara yang menghasilkan banyak limbah dari proses ekstraksi minyak kelapa sawit. Dalam rangka mengantisipasi pencemaran lingkungan dan juga mempreservasi sumber daya alam, salah satu limbah produksi kelapa sawit yaitu cangkang kelapa sawit atau oil palm shell (OPS) dimanfaatkan sebagai pengganti agregat kasar alami pada campuran beton ringan. Berdasarkan uji laboratorium terdahulu, didapatkan hasil bahwa balok beton ringan OPS bertulang memiliki kapasitas mencapai 6 ton. Pada penelitian kali ini, dilakukan permodelan numerik pada struktur balok beton OPS bertulang dengan hasil eksperimen tersebut sebagai validasi. Permodelan dilakukan menggunakan software CAST3M dan balok beton OPS tersebut dimodelkan menggunakan pendekatan elemen balok multi-fiber Timoshenko. Analisis yang dilakukan berfokus pada tipe non-linearitas material dan mencapai fase non-linear. Hasil penelitian ini meliputi perilaku dari balok beton OPS saat pembebanan yang diamati hingga sebelum kegagalan, grafik gaya vs defleksi, pola tegangan, hingga pola regangan non-linear. Disimpulkan bahwa balok beton OPS hasil permodelan memasuki fase non-linear setelah pembebanan melebihi 5 ton dan mampu mempertahankan beban hingga 6 ton dengan defleksi yang besar. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa beton OPS merupakan material yang cukup daktail dan mampu untuk diaplikasikan sebagai komponen struktur pada bangunan sederhana, seperti rumah 2 lantai sederhana. Hasil permodelan menunjukkan hasil yang menyerupai dengan hasil eksperimen, memberikan konklusi bahwa model tervalidasi dan berhasil mensimulasikan balok beton OPS."

"Danau Kenanga direncanakan akan menjadi salah satu sumber air baku untuk Instalasi Pengolahan Air (IPA) yang akan dibangun berdasarkan dokumen Rencana Induk Sistem Penyediaan Air Minum (RISPAM) Universitas Indonesia. Namun, berdasarkan dokumen RISPAM, konsentrasi pencemar amonia dan nitrit tidak memenuhi baku mutu kelas I PP No. 22 Tahun 2021. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengidentifikasi sumber pencemar, menganalisis konsentrasi, menganalisis beban pencemar, menyimulasi dinamika pencemar, dan menyusun strategi intervensi guna meningkatkan kualitas air Danau Kenanga untuk parameter amonia, nitrit, dan nitrat. Parameter amonia, nitrit, dan nitrat akan diukur konsentrasinya dengan pengujian lab dan disimulasikan transpor, reaksi, dan skenario perbaikan kualitas air menggunakan metode numerik Runge-Kutta orde keempat berbasis kesetimbangan massa. Pengambilan sampel air akan dilakukan pada 4 titik untuk mendapatkan kualitas air eksisting Danau Kenanga. Sampel air diambil pada waktu pagi, siang, dan sore pada hari Minggu, Senin, dan Selasa. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, air Danau Kenanga tidak memenuhi baku mutu kelas I PP No. 22 Tahun 2021 untuk parameter amonia dan nitrit karena memiliki konsentrasi amonia berkisar antara 0,487 – 1,013 mg/L dan konsentrasi nitrit berkisar 1 – 3,667 mg/L, sedangkan konsentrasi nitrat yang berkisar 0,667 – 2,467 mg/L memenuhi baku mutu. Hasil simulasi kondisi eksisting menunjukkan konsentrasi amonia, nitrit, dan nitrat memiliki tren menurun. Hasil validasi model menunjukkan bahwa model dikatakan valid untuk variabel relatif tidak terkontrol. Skenario perbaikan kualitas air dibuat sebanyak 5 buah dengan mengendalikan sumber pencemar dari inlet Danau Kenanga. Skenario 1 menggunakan constructed wetland dan pengaturan debit, Skenario 2 menggunakan fitoremediasi dan pengaturan debit, Skenario 3 merupakan gabungan Skenario 1 dan 2, Skenario 4 merupakan intervensi oleh pemerintah dengan membangun IPAL komunal, dan Skenario 5 merupakan gabungan Skenario 3 dan Skenario 4. Skenario 5 merupakan skenario terpilih karena dapat meningkatkan kualitas air Danau Kenanga dan mengurangi konsentrasi amonia dan nitrit sehingga dapat memenuhi baku mutu kelas I PP No.22 Tahun 2021. Peningkatan kualitas air pada Skenario 5 terjadi pada hari ke 5 untuk amonia dan hari ke 7 untuk nitrit.

Kenanga Lake was planned to be one of raw water source for Water Treatment Plant (WTP) that will be build based on University of Indonesia Drinking Water Supply System Master Plan (RISPAM). However, based on RISPAM the concentration of ammonia and nitrite pollutant doesn’t meet the quality requirements of class I water standard, as stated in PP No. 22 of 2021. This study is conducted to identify pollutant sources; analyze the concentrations and loadings, simulate pollutant dynamics, and develop intervention strategies to improve Kenanga Lake water quality for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate parameters. Ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate concentrations will be measured by laboratory testing and simulated transport, reactions, and water quality improvement scenarios using the Runge-Kutta numerical method based on mass balance. Water sampling will be carried out at 4 points to obtain the existing water quality of Kenanga Lake. Water samples were taken in the morning, afternoon, and evening on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Based on the test results, Kenanga Lake water did not meet the quality requirement of class I water standard from PP No. 22 of 2021 for ammonia and nitrite because it has ammonia concentrations ranging from 0.487 – 1.013 mg/L and nitrite concentrations ranging from 1 – 3.667 mg/L, while nitrate concentrations ranging from 0.667 – 2,467 mg/L meet the quality standards. The simulation results of the existing conditions show that the concentration of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate has a downward trend. The results of model validation indicate that the model is said to be valid for relatively uncontrolled variables. Five scenarios for improving water quality were made by controlling the pollutant sources from the Kenanga Lake inlet. Scenario 1 uses constructed wetlands and discharge regulation, Scenario 2 uses phytoremediation and discharge regulation, Scenario 3 is a combination of Scenarios 1 and 2, Scenario 4 is an intervention by the government by building a communal WWTP, and Scenario 5 is a combination of Scenario 3 and Scenario 4. Scenario 5 is the selected scenario because it can improve the water quality of Kenanga Lake and reduce the ammonia and nitrite concentrations to meet the class I from PP No.22 of 2021 water quality standard. The water quality improvement in Scenario 5 occurs on day 5 for ammonia and day 7 for nitrite."

"Pencemaran lingkungan akibat tumpahan minyak dapat berasal dari kegiatan migas. PT XYZ salah satu perusahaan migas bertugas mengoperasikan FSRU yang terletak dilepas pantai Labuhan Maringgai. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan operasional, FSRU melakukan bongkar muat BBM di tengah laut dengan metode STS. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah menganalisis wilayah prioritas penangangan pencemaran tumpahan minyak berdasarkan dampak ekonomi dan sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah campuran antara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Metode kuantitatif dengan pemodelan. Metode kualitatif dengan deskriptif dari hasil kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pemodelan pergerakan tumpahan minyak Musim Timur ke arah Barat, Barat Daya dan Barat Laut dan berdampak ke tambak udang dan mangrove di Kecamatan Labuhan Maringgai. Penyebaran tumpahan minyak mencapai daratan pada jam ke-39 dengan panjang garis pantai terdampak sepanjang + 56 km. Mitigasi yang dilakukan jika terjadi tumpahan minyak adalah penanganan wilayah prioritas di Kecamatan Labuhan maringgai yaitu Kelurahan Sukorahayu, Margasari, Sriminosari, Muara Gading Mas dan Bandar Negeri.

Environmental pollution due to oil spills can come from oil and gas activities. PT XYZ, one of the oil and gas companies, is tasked with operating the FSRU which is located off the coast of Labuhan Maringgai. To meet operational needs, FSRU carries out loading and unloading of fuel in the middle of the sea using the STS method. The main objective of this study is to analyze priority areas for handling oil spill pollution based on economic and social impacts. The method used is a mixture of quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative method with modelling. Qualitative method with descriptive of quantitative results. The results of this study are modeling the movement of the East Season oil spill to the West, Southwest and Northwest and impacting ponds and mangroves in Labuhan Maringgai District. The spread of the oil spill reached land in the 39th hour with a length of affected coastline of + 56 km. Mitigation carried out in the event of an oil spill is the handling of priority areas in Labuhan Maringgai District, namely Sukorahayu, Margasari, Sriminosari, Muara Gading Mas and Bandar Negeri Villages."

"Pemakaian bahan bakar pada kendaraan seringkali menimbulkan deposit dan pencemaran yang berasal dari pembakaran tidak sempurna. Peningkatan efisiensi pembakaran bahan bakar dan pengurangan pencemaran udara dapat dilakukan dengan memformulasi bahan bakar dengan zat aditif yang berfungsi untuk mengendalikan deposit dalam ruang mesin kendaraan. Deposit control additive (DCA) terdiri atas kepala polar dan hidrokarbon sebagai buntut non-polar memiliki kemiripan dengan struktur suatu surfaktan. Salah satu jenis hasil sintesis melalui reaksi aminasi Poliisobutilena (PIB) -amina telah dibuktikan penggunaannya sebagai aditif pengendali deposit. Ketika panjang molekul PIB semakin besar, maka peningkatan efisiensi pembakaran juga semakin besar. Komposisi gugus amina yang semakin banyak memperbanyak deposit yang dapat diikat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mensintesis 2 tipe PIB dengan berat molekul rata-rata 950, dan 1300 dengan 2 tipe amina berupa tetraethylenepentamine (TEPA) dan diethylenetriamine (DETA) dengan reaksi aminasi. Selama reaksi aminasi juga digunakan pelarut heksadekana karena PIB memiliki kekentalan yang tinggi. Hasil sintesis diuji karakteristik fisika-kimia dan performa anti depositnya dalam mesin bensin dengan dilarutkan kepada gasoline. Analisis gugus fungsi poliisobutilena-amina (PIBA) menunjukkan adanya ikatan C-H, C-N, N-H, N-H2, dan C=C. Keberhasilan sintesis dibuktikan dengan pergeseran peak gugus C-N ke angka gelombang yang lebih besar dan berkurangnya intensitas gugus C=C pada grafik FTIR. Uji performa aditif pengendali deposit menunjukkan deposit yang terbentuk pada intake valve untuk PIB (mw = 950) – DETA 0,1338 g; PIB (mw = 950) – TEPA 0,0925 g; dan PIB (mw = 1300) – TEPA 0,0812 g.

Usage of fuel in vehicle at times cause deposit and pollution from imperfect combustion. Improving fuel efficiency and reducing pollution can be done by adding additive substance which can controls deposit in vehicle engine. Deposit control additive consist of polar head and hydrocarbon as non-polar tail has similar structure with surfactant. One of the results of amination reaction is polyisobutylene (PIB)-amine has proven its effectiveness as deposit control additive. The longer the length of PIB, the higher its effect on improving combustion efficiency. A larger amount of amine in its composition increase its ability to attract deposit. This research is done by synthesize 2 type of PIBs with average molecular weight of 950 and 1300 with 2 type of amines which are tetraethylenepentamine (TEPA) and diethylenetriamine (DETA) with amination reaction. During the reaction hexadecane is also use as solvent because the high viscosity of PIB. The synthesized results will be tested their physic-chemical characteristics and their DCA performance in gasoline engine when reconstituted in gasoline. Functional group analysis showed the synthesized polyisobutylene-amines (PIBA) have C-H, C-N, N-H, N-H2, and C=C bonds. Succesful synthesis can be proved from a shift of C-N bond’s peak to a greater wave number and the decreasing intensity of C=C bond in FTIR graph. Deposit control additive performance test showed the amount of deposit formed in the intake valve for PIB (mw = 950) – DETA 0,1338 g; PIB (mw = 950) – TEPA 0,0925 g; and PIB (mw = 1300) – TEPA 0,0812 g."

"Penelitian ini berfokus pada sistem pemisahan limbah dan prosedur keselamatan kerja di lingkungan penutuhan kapal di Indonesia. Penutuhan kapal menjadi permasalahan yang serius di negara ini karena dapat menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan dan bahaya bagi pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun proses standar operasional nasional untuk penutuhan kapal modern dan sistem pemisahan limbah pada fasilitas penutuhan kapal modern. Manfaat dari penelitian ini antara lain mendukung galangan penutuhan kapal yang ramah lingkungan dan aman bagi pekerja, mengembangkan pasar penutuhan kapal Indonesia dalam industri internasional dengan penerapan standar penanganan limbah dan kesehatan serta keselamatan kerja, serta sebagai acuan untuk menerapkan standar tersebut di lingkungan penutuhan kapal di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur, pengumpulan data, konsultasi dan diskusi, perumusan masalah, dan pembuatan SOP. Sistematika penulisan terdiri dari pendahuluan, tinjauan pustaka, metodologi penelitian, pembahasan, dan kesimpulan dan saran. Dengan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan solusi bagi industri penutuhan kapal di Indonesia dalam mengatasi masalah limbah dan keselamatan kerja.

This research is entitled "Development of SOP for Ship Recycling Processes in Modern Ship Recycling Facilities." The focus of this study is on waste separation systems and safety procedures in ship recycling environments in Indonesia. Ship recycling is an important issue as it can cause environmental pollution and pose risks to workers' safety. The objectives of this research are to develop a national standard operating procedure (SOP) for modern ship recycling and to establish a waste separation system in modern ship recycling facilities. The research aims to support ship recycling yards in becoming environmentally friendly and safe for workers, as well as to enhance the Indonesian ship recycling market's reputation in the international industry through the implementation of waste management and occupational health and safety standards. This research is also expected to serve as a reference for the development of waste management and occupational safety standards in ship recycling environments in Indonesia. The research methods employed include literature review, data collection, consultation and discussions, problem formulation, and SOP development. The writing structure consists of an introduction, literature review, research methodology, discussion, and conclusions and recommendations."

Kerusakan lingkungan di wilayah kerja PT. X Bojenegara, Banten masih sering terjadi. Sebagian besar penyebab kerusakan lingkungan di wilayah kerja PT. X seperti pencemaran udara, air, dan tanah akibat dari perilaku pekerja yang tidak memiliki sikap kesadaran lingkungan dalam bekerja. Beberapa faktor, yaitu kesadaran lingkungan dan program Industrial Hygiene digunakan untuk melihat adanya hubungan dengan perilaku pekerja di PT. X. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. X Bojonegara, Banten pada bulan Februari 2015 sampai dengan bulan Maret 2015 dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner, observasi lapangan serta wawancara mendalam. Terdapat 79 responden dan 5 orang informan yang dianalisis dengan statistik univariat, bivariat dan multivariate. Hasilnya terdapat hubungan antara kesadaran lingkungan dan program Industrial Hygiene dengan perilaku pekerja (R = 0,292). Nilai korelasi sebesar 0,292 menunjukan bahwa hubungan antara kesadaran lingkungan dan program Industrial Hygiene dengan perilaku pekerja adalah sedang.

Several factors, namely environmental awareness and Industrial Hygiene program used to see the connection with the behavior of workers at PT. X. This research was conducted at PT. X Bojonegara, Banten in February 2015 to March 2015 by using a quantitative approach and the data collection methods such as questionnaires, field observation and in-depth interviews. There are 79 respondents and 5 informants were statistically analyzed by univariate, bivariate and multivariate. The result there is a relationship between environmental awareness and Industrial Hygiene program with worker behavior (R = 0.292). The correlation value of 0.292 indicates that the relationship between environmental awareness and Industrial Hygiene program with worker behavior is moderate., Environmental damage in the region of PT. "Pencemaran lingkungan yang dihasilkan oleh aktivitas fisik, biologis, dan (geo)kimiawi menjadi kekhawatiran utama karena memiliki konsekuensi yang merugikan terhadap ekosistem. Pada penelitian ini, serangkaian tahapan digesti, ekstraksi dengan berbagai variasi pH, dan simulasi dilakukan terhadap sedimen dan air di sungai Pesanggrahan, Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia untuk menentukan kadar logam kromium dan timbal secara keseluruhan, kemudahan logam terlepas dari sedimen, dan potensi bioavailabilitasnya pada biota uji menggunakan bioindikator ikan mas (Cyprinus carpio L). Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa kadar timbal dalam sedimen dapat mencapai 9,435–11,245 μg/g pada fraksi pH 3, 8,560–9,695 μg/g pada fraksi pH 5, dan 6,220–7,605 μg/g pada fraksi pH 7 dan kadar kromium dalam sedimen dapat mencapai 12,505–13,522 μg/g pada fraksi pH 3, 10,545–11,945 μg/g pada fraksi pH 5, dan 8,655–9,691 μg/g pada fraksi pH 7. Hasil uji bioakumulasi logam kromium dan timbal selama 28 hari menunjukkan bahwa kadar timbal dan kromium tertinggi pada daging ikan sebesar 0,220 dan 0,851 μg/g dan kadar timbal dan kromium tertinggi pada insang ikan sebesar 0,278 dan 0,965 μg/g. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa logam timbal dan kromium dapat terakumulasi pada biota ikan.

Environmental pollution induced by physical, biological, and (geo)chemical activities have become a major concern because of their adverse consequences to aquatic ecosystem. In this study, digestions, extractions at various pH, and bioaccumulation tests were carried out on the sediment and water from the Pesanggrahan river, South Jakarta, Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Indonesia to determine the overall metal content of chromium and lead, feasibility of metal leaching from sediment, and its bioavailability potential by using freshwater fish (Cyprinus carpio L.) as a bioindicator. Extraction of sediment at various pH showed that the range of lead content was 9.435–11.245 μg/g at pH 3, 8.560–9.695 μg/g at pH 5, and 6.220–7.605 at pH 7 and the range of chromium was 12.505–13.522 μg/g at pH 3, 10.545–11.945 μg/g at pH 5, and 8.655–9.691 μg/g at pH 7. A 28-days bioaccumulation test showed that the highest levels of lead and chromium in the fleshes were 0.462 and 0.983 μg/g and 0.475 and 0.978 μg/g in the gills, respectively. This study indicated that lead and chromium metals has a potential to accumulate in fish."

"Proses pembuktian di dalam persidangan merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting dalam proses beracara di dalam suatu peradilan. Pada perkara pencemaran dan atau perusakan lingkungan hidup fungsi alat bukti keterangan ahli sebagai salah satu alat bukti yang sah adalah sangat penting membantu majelis hakim untuk memahami masalah-masalah teknis ilmiah. Oleh sebab itu pokok permasalahan dalam penulisan skripsi ini adalah mengenai bagaimana pendapat hakim dalam menilai kekuatan pembuktian alat bukti keterangan ahli yang dihadirkan oleh para pihak, baik dari Jaksa Penuntut Umum (JPU) maupun dari terdakwa atau penasihat hukum dalam perkara tindak pidana pencemaran lingkungan hidup yang dilakukan oleh PT. Newmont Minahasa Raya di Teluk Buyat. Skripsi ini juga membahas mengenai acuan atau dasar hukum apa yang dapat dipakai dimasa yang akan datang untuk melakukan penelitian/pemeriksaan dalam perkara tindak pidana pencemaran lingkungan hidup. Alat bukti keterangan ahli yang dihadirkan oleh Jaksa Penuntut Umum (JPU) dan terdakwa atau penasihat hukum terdapat pertentangan yang sangat jauh berbeda satu sama lain. Hal ini menjadi tugas majelis hakim dalam menilai kebenaran keterangan alat bukti keterangan ahli dan dapat dilihat bagaimana majelis hakim menilai kekuatan pembuktian keterangan ahli. Mengenai acuan atau dasar hukum yang dapat dipakai untuk melakukan penelitian/pemeriksaan dalam perkara tindak pidana pencemaran lingkungan hidup adalah dapat dipakai Undang-undang Nomor 23 Tahun 1997 tentang Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup serta peraturan-peraturan yang ada dibawahnya termasuk Keputusan Kepala Bapedal Nomor 113 Tahun 2000 tentang Pedoman Umum dan Pedoman Teknis Laboratorium Lingkungan.

Substantiation process before court is a critical part in a proceeding. In environment pollution or devastation lawsuit, professional opinion as one of legal exhibits serves as an important part in supporting the court understanding of scientific technical issues. The subject matter in this thesis, therefore, concerns with the judge opinion in assessing the intensity of substantiation of professional opinion proposed by the parties, both the general prosecutor (JPU) and the defendant or legal counsel in the environment pollution crime alleged against PT. Newmont Minahasa Raya in Buyat Gulf. This thesis also discusses about future applicable reference or legal basis to carry out study/inquiry of environment pollution crime. The professional opinion exhibits presented by either General Prosecutor (JPU) and defendant or legal counsel contradict significantly against each other. It is the duty of the court to evaluate the professional opinion exhibits and it can be observed there from how the judges consider the intensity of the professional opinion substantiation. With respect to the reference or legal basis applicable in this study/inquiry of environment pollution crime, it can be used Law Number 23 of 1997 on Environment Management and existing regulations under it including Decision of the Chief Environment Impact Controlling Agency Number 113 of 2000 on General Guide and Technical Guide for Environment Laboratory."
