"Recruitment and hiring of new graduate nurses is seen as a potential strategy to mitigate the problem of nurse shortage. However, previous studies disclosed that new graduate nurses are inadequately prepared to enter practice and experience transition difficulties. This study aimed to determine the perceived competence and transition experience of new graduate Filipino nurses. Seventy-nine conveniently chosen new graduate nurses were surveyed in this descriptive cross-sectional research. Self-administered instruments were used to gather data. Descriptive statistics, Mann–Whitney U test, and Kruskal–Wallis test were the statistical tools employed. Results indicated that new graduate nurses had a high level of self-reported fundamental nursing skills (M= 7.99) and core competence (M= 8.16), although areas needing improvement were identified. There were no significant differences in the perceived competence based on the length of experience, year graduated, area of assignment, sex, type of school graduated, CPD participation, and hospital bed capacity (p> .05). The major difficulty experienced by new graduates during their transition was related to changes in role expectations (72.2%). Majority expressed the need for increased support during their transition (83.5%). The most satisfying aspects of their working environment were ongoing learning (81%) and peer support (74.7%), while the least satisfying was the negative nursing work environment (55.7%). New graduate nurses are equipped with the necessary nursing skills and core competencies. However, there are still gaps and areas needing improvement that should be addressed and supported to assist them in their transition to the world of professional nursing practice. Follow up, feedback, mentoring, and preceptorship are beneficial to enhance the competencies of new graduate nurses and facilitate their successful transition into the nursing workforce."

"ABSTRAK
Asuhan keperawatan spiritual akan memberikan aspek positif bagi kualitas hidup pasien tahap akhir kehidupan. Perawat merupakan salah satu pemberi asuhan yang berperan dalam memberikan asuhan spiritual yang bermutu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengekplorasi pengalaman perawat dalam memberikan asuhan spiritual pada pasien tahap akhir kehidupan disebuah rumah sakit tipe A di propinsi Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kualitatif fenomenologi, metode wawancara mendalam semi struktur, durasi 30-50 menit dengan partisipan berjumlah sepuluh orang yang terdiri dari 1 orang kepala ruangan, 3 ketua tim dan 6 perawat pelaksana. Analisis tematik menggunakan metode Colaizzi menghasilkan 181 pernyataan signifikan, 36 subkategori, 12 kategori dan 6 tema, yaitu; (1) perubahan fungsi fisiologis, (2) caring, (3) proses keperawatan berfokus pada pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar henderson; kebutuhan rasa nyaman dan terapi spiritual, (4) perawat menjadi advokatdalam menguatkan support sistem keluarga, (5) interkolaborasi, (6) fungsi manajemen kepala ruangan. Rekomendasi yang diberikan peneliti yaitu peningkatan kompetensi perawat dalam asuhan melalui Continuing Professional Development (CPD), melakukan review terhadap kebijakan rumah sakit dalam hal pendampingan keluarga bagi pasien tahap akhir kehidupan.

ABSTRACT
Spiritual care is an essensial part of end of life patients, provide a positive aspect to the quality of life. This study aims to explore nurses' experience in providing spiritual care to patients in the end of life in hospital in Aceh. This study used a phenomenological qualitative approach, indepth interview lasting for 30-50 minutes to 10 participants. Colaizzi analysis was utilized to derive 181 quotes, 36 subcategory, 12 category and six theme; (1) changes in physiological functions in end of life, (2) caring, (3) the nursing process focuses on basic needs; Henderson‟s, (4) nurses become advocates in strengthening family system support, (5) inter-collaboration in care, (6) management function of head nurse. It is recommended to increasing nurses' competence in nursing care through Continuing Professional Development CPD, to conduct a review of hospital policies in terms of family assistance for end-of-life patients.

"Program Orientasi Berbasis Kompetensi merupakan metode dalam program orientasi perawat baru. Penelitian descriptive correlational secara cross sectional bertujuan menganalisis Hubungan antara Kompetensi Pasca Orientasi dengan Kinerja Perawat Baru di RS X Jakarta Tahun 2013.
Hasil penelitian pada 127 perawat baru di RS X didapatkan perawat baru mempersepsikan kompetensi interpersonal baik (74.81%), kompetensi teknis baik (80.31%), kompetensi berpikir kritis baik (62.21%). Kinerja perawat baru mempersepsikan baik adalah 69,39%.
Analisis menunjukkan ada hubungan antara program orientasi berbasis kompetensi dengan kinerja perawat baru (pvalue= 0,000, CI: 0,336; 0,696). Variabel dominan berhubungan dengan kinerja perawat baru adalah kompetensi teknis. Kompetensi perawat baru membentuk perawat baru memiliki penampilan kerja profesional sehingga program ini penting diterapkan di setiap orientasi perawat baru.

Competency-based orientation program is a method of new nurse orientation programs. Research on cross-sectional descriptive correlational aimed to analyze the relationship of competency-based orientation program with the performance of new nurses at X Hospital, Jakarta in 2013.
Results for 127 new nurses in X Hospital, Jakarta new nurses get a good view of interpersonal competence (74.81%), good technical competence (80.31%), good competence in critical thinking (62.21%). New nurses to see better performance is 69,39%.
Analysis showed no relationship between competency-based orientation program with the performance of new nurses (p = 0.000, CI: 0.336, 0.696). The dominant variables associated with the performance of new nurses is technical competencies. Competence of new nurses to form a new nurse has a professional performance so that important programs applied in any orientation of new nurses.

"Perawat sebagai pemberi asuhan keperawatan yang profesional sudah selayaknya memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang proses keperawatan dan diagnosis NANDA. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan karakteristik perawat dengan pengetahuan perawat tentang proses keperawatan dan diagnosis NANDA di IRNA C RSUP Fatmawati Jakarta. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelatif pada 86 perawat di IRNA C RSUP Fatmawati Jakarta.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat pengetahuan perawat tentang proses keperawatan dan diagnosis NANDA mencapai 61,34 % (kategori cukup baik). Tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara karakteristik perawat (usia, jenis kelamin, masa kerja, pendidikan, dan pelatihan) dengan pengetahuan perawat. Namun ada kecendrungan dalam penelitian ini bahwa pendidikan dan pelatihan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan perawat. Oleh karenanya penelitian ini menyarankan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang proses keperawatan dan diagnosis NANDA dengan peningkatan pendidikan perawat ke jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi serta mengupayakan pemberikan pelatihan secara berkala.

Nurse as a professional care giver must have good knowledge about nursing process and NANDA diagnosis. The purpose of this research was to identify the relationship between nurses’ characteristics and nurses’ knowledge about nursing process and NANDA diagnosis at IRNA C RSUP Fatmawati Jakarta. The research used descriptive correlation method with 86 nurse at care unit.
The result showed that the level of nurses knowledge in nursing process and NANDA diagnosis reached 61,34% (adequate category). The result of this research showed that nurse characteristics (age, gender, working period, level of education, and training) did not have any significantly relation with nurses knowledge. However, there was a tendency that the level of education and training could increase nurses’ knowledge. Therefor, this research suggested that there should have been increase for nurses’ level of education and periodical training to improve the nurses knowledge.

"Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis turnover perawat rawat inap di RSU Zahirah Tahun 2012. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah tingginya angka turnover perawat rawat inap pada tahun 2012 yang mencapai 40%. Oleh karena itu, peneliti ingin mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang berhubungan dengan turnover, dilihat dari faktor individu, faktor pekerjaan, dan faktor organisasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis-deskriptif. Terdapat 8 (delapan) orang informan, diantaranya manajer SDM, manajer keperawatan, kepala unit rawat inap, 3 (tiga) orang perawat rawat inap yang masih bekerja, dan 2 orang perawat rawat inap yang sudah keluar dari RSU Zahirah. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa ada beberapa faktor yang berhubungan dengan turnover perawat rawat inap di RSU Zahirah, yaitu kompensasi sebagai faktor utama, beban kerja, dan kesempatan untuk maju.

This thesis aims to analyze the inpatient nurses turnover at Zahirah Hospital on 2012. The background of this study was the high rate of inpatient nurses turnover on 2012 reached 40%. Therefore, the researchers wanted to know what factors are associated with turnover, views of the individual factors, occupational factors, and organizational factors. This research is a qualitative with descriptive-analysis method. There are 8 (eight) informant, including HR manager, nursing manager, heads of inpatient units, three (3) inpatient nurses who are still working, and 2 inpatient nurses who are already out of RSU Zahirah. The study states that there are several factors related to inpatient nurses turnover in Zahirah Hospital, namely compensation as a major factor, workload, and the opportunity to advance."

"ABSTRAK
Tenaga perawat di ICU RSU Tabanan yang memiliki dasar pelatihan perawat ICU
sebagai suatu keharusan, kurang dari 50%. Profesionalisme perawat merupakan
bagian intergral dari pelayanan asuhan kesehatan didasarkan pada ilmu dan
keterampilan keperawatan menuju pelayanan kesehatan yang bermutu.
Tesis ini tentang hubungan antara sistem rekrutmen, sistem penempatan dan
orientasi serta pengembangan SDM terhadap kompetensi perawat melalui
pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Populasi penelitian kuantitatif adalah
perawat ICU sedangkan informan untuk kualitatif adalah manajemen SDM rumah
sakit umum Tabanan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kompetensi perawat di ICU RSU Tabanan kurang
dari nilai yang diharapkan, namun ada hubungan yang bermakna antara sistem
rekrutmen, sistem penempatan dan orientasi serta pengembangan SDM dengan
kompetensi perawat. Belum adanya standar sistem penempatan tenaga perawat
sesuai kompetensinya serta sistem rekrutmen, orientasi perawat dan
pengembangan SDM belum berjalan sesuai standar yang telah ditetapkan.
Oleh karena itu perlunya disusun standar yang baku untuk meningkatkan
kompetensi perawat sehingga akan menghasilkan tenaga yang berkompeten dan
berkinerja tinggi.

ABSTRACT
Intensive Care Nurse as health care provider in Tabanan Hospital that have basic
skill as intensive care is a necessary quality, less than 50%. Nurse Profesionalism
is an integral part to health care services based on nursery knowledge and skill
toward better helath care.
This thesis focus on relationship between recruitment system, placement system
,orientation,and also development of human resource against nursecompetence
through qualitative and quantitativeapproach. Quantitative study in population
subject is nurse while informant for qualitative study is Human resource
management in Tabanan General Hospital
The results showed that the nurse competeny of nurses in ICU of Tabanan
General Hospital is less than the expected value, but there is a meaningful
relationship between the recruitment system, placement and orientation system as
well as the development of human resources with the competence of nurses. Lack
of standardization of nurse placement system suitable for their competencies, as
well asrecruitment system,nurse orientation and human resource development not
developing according to a predetermined standard.
Because of this reasons, we need to establish a standardized approach to improve
nurse competency to produce competent human resource and better in
performance"

"ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang. Sekitar 75% perawat di rumah sakit menjalani kerja gilir. Salah satu dampak negatif akibat kerja gilir jangka panjang adalah gangguan fungsi kognitif. Mekanisme yang menjelaskan gangguan fungsi kognitif adalah gangguan tidur kronik, desinkronisasi irama sirkadian dan stress kerja. Pengetahuan mengenai fungsi kognitif pada perawat gilir merupakan hal yang penting karena akan mempengaruhi produktivitas kerja perawat.
Metode. Desain penelitian berupa studi potong lintang. Subyek penelitian adalah perawat gilir di IGD, ICU dan bangsal gedung A RSCM yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Subyek diperoleh secara konsekutif proporsional. Pada subyek dilakukan wawancara, pengisian kuesioner, pemeriksaan fisik dan fungsi kognitif. Pemeriksaan fungsi kognitif dilakukan minimal dua malam setelah gilir malam terakhir. Dilakukan analisis data menggunakan perangkat SPSS 17.0.
Hasil. Diperoleh 36 subyek perawat gilir di masing – masing unit kerja. Prevalensi gangguan kognitif pada perawat gilir berdasarkan MoCA-Ina adalah 14,8%. Proporsi gangguan fungsi kognitif terbanyak terdapat pada perawat IGD (50,0%) diikuti oleh bangsal gedung A (31,2%) dan ICU (18,8%). Pada domain fungsi kognitif rerata tertinggi terdapat pada perawat ICU, kecuali pada domain visuospasial terdapat pada perawat bangsal, sedangkan pada domain orientasi sama pada semua unit.
Kesimpulan. Sebagian perawat gilir mengalami gangguan fungsi kognitif. Tidak terdapat perbedaan bermakna rerata skor MoCA-Ina maupun proporsi gangguan fungsi kognitif antar unit kerja. Pada domain MoCA-Ina perbedaan rerata yang bermakna hanya terdapat pada domain atensi-konsentrasi-working memory.

ABSTRACT
Background. About 75% hospital nurses work in shift. One of negative effects due to long term shift work is cognitive function impairment. Mechanisms explaining the cognitive function impairment are chronic sleep disorder, circadian rhythm desynchronisation, and work stress. Knowledge of cognitive function in shift nurses is important because affects nurse work productivity.
Method. This is a cross sectional study. The subjects of this study were shift nurses working at Emergency Ward, Intensive Care Unit, and Inpatient Ward of RSCM who are eligible based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. This study used proportional concecutive sampling, where all subjects were interviewed, filled questionnaires, and underwent physical and cognitive examination. The cognitive examination were done at least two nights after last night shift. Data was analyzed by using SPSS 17.0.
Result. There were 36 shift nurses in each work unit. Prevalence of cognitive impairment in shift nurses based on MoCA-Ina battery was 14.8%, which the most prevalence was found at Emergency Ward (50.0%), followed by Inpatient Ward (32.1%) and Intensive Care Unit (18.8%). The highest score of all cognitive domains was found at Intensive Care Unit, except in visuospatial which was found at Inpatient Ward, meanwhile every unit had similar mean score in orientation.
Conclusion. A few shift nurses had cognitive impairment. There was no significant difference in both MoCA-Ina mean score and proportion of cognitive impairment among work units. There was significant difference in mean score of attention-concentration-working memory."

"Pertumbuhan ekonomi dan peningkatan angkatan kerja Indonesia memiliki dampak terhadap kebutuhan pelayanan kesehatan di tempat kerja. Hal ini membutuhkan perhatian perawat sebagai tenaga kesehatan yang berperan di tempat kerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran pengalaman kerja perawat yang bekerja di industri. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan dua belas partisipan yang bekerja di enam perusahaan. Data didapatkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dianalisis dengan metode collaizzi. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan lima tema, yaitu; tugas keperawatan, tugas non keperawatan, kondisi kerja, pengembangan diri dan profesi, serta kebijakan perusahaan belum mendukung peran perawat di tempat kerja. Hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan perawat perawat harus memahami dan menyadari peran dan fungsinya sebagai perawat kesehatan kerja, managemen perusahaan harus mengetahui tugas perawat yang bekerja di perusahaan sesuai dengan peran dan fungsi, organisasi profesi perawat kesehatan kerja perlu mengembangkan organisasi dan melakukan sosialisasi kepada perawat kesehatan kerja. Dinas kesehatan perlu melakukan pembinaan kepada perusahaan yang berada di wilayahnya agar memiliki kesadaran untuk memberikan pendidikan dan pelatihan kepada perawat yang bekerja di institusi kerja.
.....Economic growth and increased Indonesian labor force have an impact on the need for health care in the workplace. This requires the attention of nurses as health workers who play a role in the workplace. The purpose of this research is to get an overview of nurses working experience in industry. The study was conducted through a qualitative approach with twelve participants working in six companies. Data obtained through in-depth interviews and analyzed by collaizzi method. The result of this research got five themes, that is; nursing assignments, non-nursing duties, working conditions, self-development and profession, and company policies have not supported the role of nurses in the workplace. The results of this study recommends that nurses should understand and be aware of their role and function as occupational health nurses, the company management must know the duty of nurses working in the company in accordance with the role and function, professional organization of occupational health nurse need to develop the organization and conduct socialization to the occupational health nurse. The health service bereau needs to provide guidance to companies in the region to have awareness to provide education and training to nurses working in work institutions."
