Apoteker memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam pelaksanaan pelayanan kefarmasian di fasilitas kesehatan seperti di Rumah Sakit dan Apotek. Apoteker dituntut untuk dapat menguasai berbagai macam kegiatan pelayanan kefarmasian, tidak hanya dibidang pengelolaan farmasi saja atau bidang pelayanan farmasi klinik saja. Apoteker dituntut untuk dapat mengembangkan kompetensinya pada semua aspek. Kompetensi yang dimiliki oleh apoteker menjadi kunci sukses pelaksanaan pelayanan kefarmasian. Standar kompetensi apoteker Indonesia terdiri dari sepuluh (10) standar kompetensi sebagai kemampuan yang diharapkan oleh apoteker saat lulus dan memasuki tempat praktik kerja profesi. Pelaksanaan Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) dapat menjadi salah satu wadah bagi calon apoteker dalam meningkatkan kompetensi apoteker. Kegiatan PKPA di Rumah Sakit Pusat Angkatan Darat (RSPAD Gatot Soebroto) dan Apotek Nurani Sukabumi diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran kepada calon apoteker mengenai peranan, tugas, maupun tanggung jawab apoteker khususnya dalam pelaksanaan pelayanan kefarmasian di Rumah sakit dan Apotek.

Pharmacist is required to have abilities in various activities of pharmaceutical practice, not only in pharmaceutical management or only in pharmaceutical clinics. Competency standards of Indonesia pharmacist consist of ten (10) competency standards as skills that expected from pharmacist when graduation and performing health service. Internship program is one of the place for future pharmacist to develop their competence. Internship program at Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD Gatot Soebroto) and Apotek Nurani Sukabumi hopefully can provide an overview to future pharmacist about the role of duties and responsibilities of pharmacist specifically in pharmaceutical practice in hospital and pharmacy.

"Pelaksaanaan standar pelayanan kefarmasian sesuai dengan peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku, merupakan tanggung jawab seorang apoteker. Apoteker berperan penting dalam pelaksanaan pelayanan kefarmasian di berbagai sektor, antara lain fasilitas kesehatan, distribusi serta produksi obat-obatan, alat kesehatan, dan Bahan Medis Habis Pakai (BMHP). Sebagai salah satu tenaga kesehatan, apoteker memiliki surat tanda registrasi dan surat praktik resmi, sehingga memiliki kewajiban menjalankan standar kompetensi dan kode etik sesuai dengan standar pelayanan kefarmasian yang berlaku. Hal ini yang mendasari pelaksanaan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) di Rumah Sakit Pusat Angkatan Darat (RSPAD) Gatot Soebroto dan Apotek Roxy Klender Periode Bulan Februari – Juni Tahun 2020 untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman calon apoteker. The implementation of pharmaceutical service standards according to the applicable laws and regulations is a pharmacist’s responsibility. Pharmacist plays an important role of  pharmaceutical service in various sectors, including health facilities, distribution and production of drugs, medical devices, and medical consumables. As medical personnel, pharmacist has a registration certificate and official practice letter, so that pharmacist has the obligation to perform the competency standards and ethical codes based on the applicable pharmaceutical service standards. These matter underlies the implementation of the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice at Gatot Soebroto Central Army Hostpital and Apotek Roxy Klender Period February – Juni 2020, to increase knowledge and understanding the pharmacist candidate. With this activity, pharmacist candidate is expected to increase insight, knowledge, understanding, and experience about roles and responsibility of pharmacist in related sector."

Tugas khusus yang diberikan berjudul Pemantauan Terapi Obat Pada Pasien Endokarditis Infektif (EI) dan Acute Decompensated Heart Failure(ADHF) et causa AR Severe dan TR Moderate di Ruang Perawatan Lantai 2Jantung Paviliun Soehardo Kertohusodo. Tujuan dari tugas khusus ini adalahuntuk mengevaluasi ketepatan penggunaan obat pada pasien dan memahami peranapoteker dalam pemantauan terapi obat.

The specific assignment titled Monitoring of Drug Therapy in Patients withInfective Endocarditis (IE) and Acute Decompensated Heart Failure (ADHF) et causa AR Severe and TR Moderate in the 2nd floor Heart Care Roomof theSoehardo Kertohusodo Pavilion. The purpose of this particular task is to achievethe correct use of drugs in patients and to understand the role of pharmacists inthe field of drug therapy."

Apoteker dapat memperoleh wawasan dan pemahaman mengenai pekerjaan dan pelayanan kefarmasian tersebut dari pembelajaran secara teoritis maupun praktik langsung di institusi kefarmasian. Selain itu, agar dapat menjadi apoteker yang kompeten, calon apoteker harus memenuhi standar kompetensi sebagai persyaratan untuk memasuki dunia kerja dan menjalani praktik profesi. Besides, to become a competent pharmacist, prospective pharmacists must meet competency standards as a requirement to enter the world of work and undergo the professional practice. As a provision and experience for prospective pharmacists to be able to understand the role of pharmacists and improve competence, internship was carried out at the PT Enseval Putera Megatrading Tbk, Apotek Atrika, and PT Takeda Indonesia during the period February-July 2020. With the implementation of this internship, it is hoped that prospective pharmacists can broaden their knowledge, insight, understanding, skills, and experience in doing pharmaceutical practices directly in pharmaceutical institutions."

Tugas khusus yang diberikan Berupa Laporan Pemakaian dan Lembar Permintaan Obat (LPLPO), Penggunaan Obat Rasional (POR), pelayanan kefarmasian, dan monitoring obat generik di Puskesmas Kecamatan Pulogadung yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan, kerasionalan, dan kualitas pelayanan kefarmasian. Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) di Rumah Sakit Kepresidenan Rumah Sakit Pusat Angkatan Darat (RSPAD) Gatot Soebroto bertujuan untuk memahami peran, tugas dan tanggung jawab apoteker di rumah sakit sesuai dengan ketentuan dan etika pelayanan farmasi yang telah ditetapkan pada Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan No. 72 Tahun 2016 tentang Standar Pelayanan Kefarmasian di Rumah Sakit. Tugas khusus yang diberikan berupa Pemantauan Terapi Obat (PTO) pada pasien Diabetes Melitus tipe II yang bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi ketepatan, keefektifan, keamanan dan kerasionalan terapi penggunaan obat pada pasien. Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) di Apotek Kimia Farma No. 367 bertujuan untuk memahami peran, tugas dan tanggung jawab apoteker di apotek sesuai dengan ketentuan dan etika pelayanan farmasi yang telah ditetapkan pada Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan No. 73 Tahun 2016 tentang Standar Pelayanan Kefarmasian di Apotek. Internship (PKPA) at Puskesmas Pulogadung District, East Jakarta Administrative City aims to understand the roles, duties and responsibilities of pharmacists in pharmacies in accordance with the provisions and ethics of pharmacy services as stipulated in the Minister of Health Regulation No. 74 of 2016 concerning Standard of Pharmaceutical Services at Puskesmas. Special tasks given are in the form of Drug Usage Reports and Request Sheets (LPLPO), Rational Drug Use (POR), pharmaceutical services, and monitoring of generic drugs at the Pulogadung District Health Center which aims to determine the need, rationality, and quality of pharmaceutical services. The Internship (PKPA) at the Presidential Hospital Gatot Soebroto Central Army Hospital (RSPAD) aims to understand the roles, duties and responsibilities of pharmacists in hospitals in accordance with the provisions and ethics of pharmaceutical services as stipulated in the Minister of Health Regulation No. 72 of 2016 concerning Standards for Pharmaceutical Services in Hospitals. A special task is given in the form of Monitoring Drug Therapy (PTO) in patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus which aims to evaluate the accuracy, effectiveness, safety and rationality of drug therapy in patients. Internship (PKPA) at Kimia Farma Pharmacy No. 367 aims to understand the roles, duties and responsibilities of pharmacists in pharmacies in accordance with the provisions and ethics of pharmacy services as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Health No. 73 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Pharmacy. Special assignments are given in the form of administrative, pharmaceutical and clinical studies of prescriptions for epilepsy patients with the aim of determining that the therapy given meets administrative, clinical, and pharmaceutical requirements and the suitability and rationality of patient safety."

Pharmacists must meet competency standards as a requirement to enter the world of work and carry out professional practices. Indonesian pharmacist competency standards consist of (10) competency standards as abilities expected by pharmacists when they graduate and enter professional work practices. As a provision and experience of prospective pharmacists to understand the role of pharmacists and improve competence, a Professional Work Practice of Pharmacists was carried out at Kimia Farma Pharmacy No. 295 Jatiwaringin and PT Harsen Laboratory for the Period of February and July - August 2020. During the PKPA, prospective pharmacists are expected to be able to gain insight, experience and understanding to carry out pharmaceutical work in professional work practices."

Pharmacy staff consists of pharmacists and pharmaceutical staff. This is the basis of University of Indonesia’s Pharmacy Faculty Pharmacist Professional Program collaboration with RSUP dr. During the internship, students are expected to able to understand the roles, duties, and responsibilities of pharmacists in hospitals and pharmacies in accordance with the provisions and ethics of health services and pharmaceutical services."

During PKPA, it is expected that candidate pharmacists can broaden their horizons, understanding, and experience to do pharmaceutical work in a professional work practice."

Keberadaan Apoteker sangat penting, khususnya di Apotek dan Industri Farmasi. Apoteker memiliki standar kompetensi dalam menjalankan perannya. Salah satu cara untuk mengasah kompetensi dari Apoteker adalah dengan menjalankan praktik kerja profesi bagi para calon Apoteker. Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker di Apotek dan Industri Farmasi merupakan rangkaian kegiatan untuk para Apoteker memahami dan belajar bagaimana peran serta kontribusinya di masyarakat. Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker dilakukan di Apotek Kimia Farma No. 535 Pondok Pinang dan di PT Takeda Indonesia. Setelah dilakukan praktik kerja profesi, diharapkan para calon Apoteker mampu untuk menyiapkan diri dan memiliki bekal untuk menjadi tenaga kesehatan Indonesia yang bermanfaat bagi nusa dan bangsa

According to Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia Nomor 51 Tahun 2009 about Pekerjaan Kefarmasian, a pharmacist is a bachelor of pharmacy who has graduated as a pharmacist and has taken the oath of its position. The existence of a pharmacist is very important, especially in the Drugstore and Pharmaceutical Industry. Pharmacists have competency standards in carrying out their roles. One way to hone the competence of a pharmacist is to carry out professional work practices for prospective pharmacists. The "Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker" in the Drugstore and Pharmaceutical Industry is a series of activities for pharmacists to understand and learn how to participate in the community. The Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker conducted at Kimia Farma No. 535 Pondok Pinang and at PT Takeda Indonesia. After carrying out professional work practices, it is hoped that the prospective pharmacists will be able to prepare themselves and be equipped to become Indonesian health workers who are useful to the country and the nation.
