"This book offers a new calculation procedure of the structural behavior of grouped layout of silos, easy to use and with satisfactory responses.
Groups of reinforced concrete silos are structures commonly used in the food industry, where it is usually necessary to separate the storage of different types and sources of grain.
The grouped layout of silos has numerous benefits when compared with single-cell silos in which the emphasis is on creating further space for silage, normally referred to as interstice-a space formed between the edges of the groups cells. This economic benefit, on the other hand, raises a structural problem for the designer of this type of building, which is to assess the magnitude of bending moments and hoop forces due to the structural continuity of the walls in the interstice region of the cells. Bending moments assume extreme values exactly when the interstice is loaded and the other cells in the group are empty."

"Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan nilai gaya dalam gelagar beton pratekan pascatarik secara manual dan menggunakan perangkat lunak berbasis Metode Elemen Hingga. Kami meninjau daerah blok angkur yang mengalami konsentrasi tegangan tekan yang tinggi setelah proses pasca tarik. Konsentrasi tegangan tekan yang tinggi membuat terciptanya gaya tarik yang memecah atau dikenal juga dengan gaya bursting pada daerah blok angkur. Perangkat lunak diharapkan dapat membantu dalam perhitungan gaya bursting lebih mudah. Pada skripsi ini, kami mensimulasikan beberapa parameter seperti sudut inklinasi tendon, ukuran tendon, penggunaan pelat angkur, eksentrisitas tegangan, tinggi girder, dan efek pentahapan gaya. Melalui studi ini kami menyimpulkan perhitungan dengan perangkat lunak mendekati perhitungan manual.
This final report aim is to determine difference of internal forces value in the pre stress post tension concrete girder by manual and software appliance which based Finite Element Method FEM. We observed anchorage block zone that has high stress concentration because of post tension process. The high stress concentration create tension force that known as bursting force at anchorage block. In future, we hope software appliance can help to calculate and identify bursting force easier. In this paper, we have used some parameters such as tendon inclination, size of tendon, using of anchorage plate, force eccentricity, girder height, and staging effect. From this study, we conclude result from calculation with software appliance almost same as result from calculation by manual."
