Occupational skin diseases are the most common work related diseases in many countries. Shoe industry workers are potential to be affected by work related skin diseases (WRSDs). This study aimed to analyze the risk factors associated with WRSDs among workers in the sewing section at a shoe company in West Java. A total of 477 workers were examined and interviewed using the modified Nordic Occupational Skin Questionnaire 2002/LONG from May 2016 to July 2016. Chi square test and logistic regression were used to analyze the risk factors related to WRSDs. The results showed that 57.7% of the workers suffered from WRSDs. Most of the workers (71.7%) did not wear gloves while working: however, they washed their hands adequately at work (67.1%). Multivariate analysis indicated that a term of work, allergy records, organic dust exposure and duration of exposure per day, handwashing habits, and use of gloves while
working were significant to WRSDs. Having allergy records and not wearing gloves were the two dominant factors associated with WRSDs (odds ratio: 6.743 and 6.224, respectively). Understanding the importance of using chemical protective gloves while working and washing hands with running water are essential for the proper implementation of protective measures to ensure workers safety and health."

"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan keluhan penyakit kulit pada pekerja di bagian Sewing dan Cutting, Departemen Preparing/Upper Sole, perusahaan manufaktur sepatu di Kabupaten Sukabumi pada Bulan Mei 2016. Dari 1.350 responden, ditemukan 777 orang menderita keluhan penyakit kulit pada pekerja sedangkan573 orang lainnya tidak menderita keluhan ini. Menggunakan teknik systematic random sampling, diperoleh sample sebanyak 817 orang, dimana hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebesar 58% diantaranya menderita keluhan penyakit kulit pada pekerja. Secara statistik tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara paparan pelarut organik dengan keluhan penyakit kulit pada pekerja. Hasil penelitian lebih lanjut menunjukkan bahwa pekerja yang terpapar debu organik berisiko 2,5 kali untuk menderita keluhan penyakit kulit pada pekerja. Pekerja dengan masa kerja ≤ 3 tahun memiliki risiko 2,4 kali untuk terkena keluhan penyakit kulit pada pekerja dibandingkan dengan pekerja dengan masa kerja > 3 tahun.Pekerja dengan kebiasaan tidak mencuci tangan memiliki resiko 2,6 kali untuk terkena keluhan penyakit kulit pada pekerja dibandingkan dengan pekerja dengan kebiasaan mencuci tangan yang baik. Pengaruh pemakaian sarung tangan menjadi faktor dominan dimana pekerja yang tidak menggunakan sarung tangan memiliki risiko 4,7 kali terkena keluhan penyakit kulit dan pekerja dengan riwayat alergi memiliki risiko 6,7 kali berisiko menderita keluhan penyakit kulit pada pekerja. Upaya pengendalian dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan pengawasan dan edukasi, serta kontrol administratif dan penyediaan sarana dalam upaya promotif dan prefentif yang optimal, seperti penyediaan wastafel, pemakaian APD yang sesuai, skrining serta pengobatan.

The aim of this study was to determine the factors that led to occupational skin disease complaints on Sewing and Cutting workers at the Preparing/ Upper Sole Department, one of the shoe manufacturing in Sukabumi, May 2016. Out of the 1.350 respondents, found that 777 workers suffering from occupational skin disease complaints, while 573 others do not suffer from this complaint. Using the systematic random sampling technique, obtained a sample of 817 workers, of which the result showed 58% of them suffer from occupational skin disease complaints. Statistically there was no significant association between exposures to organic solvents with occupational skin disease complaints in workers. Furthermore, the study result indicates that workers exposed to organic dust 2.5 times are at risk of suffering from occupational skin disease complaints. Workers with ≤ 3service years had 2.4 times the risk of developing occupational skin disease complaints compared to workers who have > 3 years of service. Workers who have the habit of not washing their hands have 2.6 times the risk of occupational skin disease complaints. Workers who do not wearing gloves are at risk 4.7 times of occupational skin disease complaints, and workers with a history of allergies had 6.7 times risk to occupational skin disease complaints. Control can be done by educating the workers and do the monitoring, as well as administrative control and provided the facilities in health promotion and optimum preventive, such as to provide a sink, use appropriate PPE, screening and do the treatment as well

"Astenopia adalah kondisi kelelahan mata yang ditandai oleh kumpulan gejala yang disebabkan usaha berlebihan dari sistem penglihatan untuk memperoleh ketajaman penglihatan optimal. Pekerja konveksi merupakan salah satu pekerjaan yang membutuhkan ketelitian dan kerapihan dalam melakukan pekerjaan detil sehingga dapat menyebabkan astenopia yang diakibatkan oleh karena konvergensi dan akomodasi yang berlebihan. Tesis ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kuat pencahayaan dan faktor resiko lain terhadap astenopia pada penjahit perempuan di konveksi PT. X Jakarta.
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain potong lintang yang dilakukan pada 92 responden menggunakan kuesioner dan mengukur nilai Near Point of Accomodation dan Near Point of Convergence responden. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan prevalensi astenopia setelah bekerja 5 jam sebanyak 75%. Gejala terbanyak yang dikeluhkan penjahit di konveksi X terkait astenopia adalah mata merah, mata berair, mata gatal dan kering. Penelitian ini menemukan tidak adanya hubungan bermakna antara kuat pencahayaan, usia, tingkat pendidikan, unit kerja dan status gizi terhadap astenopia.

Asthenopia is a condition characterized by a collection of symptoms caused by excessive work of the visual system to obtain optimal visual acuity. Garment workers require precision and neatness in doing detailed work that can cause asthenopia due to excessive convergence and accommodation. This thesis aims to determine the relationship of lighting intensity and other risk factors to asthenopia on female tailors in garment fabric PT. X Jakarta.
This research is a quantitative research with cross-sectional design conducted in 92 respondents using a questionnaire and measuring the value of Near Point of Accommodation and Near Point of Convergence. This study reported prevalence of asthenopia after working 5 hours is 75%. Female tailors mostly complained red eyes, watery eyes, itchy and dry eyes. This study found no significant relationship between lighting intensity, age, level of education, nutritional status, work units and asthenopia.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor risiko stres kerja pada pekerja kesehatan di remote site. Peneliti melakukan studi potong lintang pada Januari-Juni 2023 dengan melibatkan 103 responden dari berbagai industri. Peneliti menggunakan instrumen penelitian COPSOQ III untuk mengukur stres kerja dan faktor risikonya. Pada 103 responden industri Oil & Gas, pertambangan, dan konstruksi menunjukkan usia, durasi shift, dan lama kerja tidak berhubungan signifikan dengan stres kerja. Namun, jenis industri dan jenis kelamin memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan jenis stres tertentu. Pekerja kontrak lebih cenderung mengalami stres kerja, burnout, dan stres kognitif. Faktor risiko psikososial seperti tuntutan pekerjaan, konflik peran, kecepatan kerja, dan tuntutan emosional juga berhubungan dengan stres kerja. Tuntutan pekerjaan, kecepatan kerja, dan konflik peran mempengaruhi skor stres kerja, menjelaskan 26,5% variasi skor stres. Pekerja pelayanan kesehatan di remote site PT. X mengalami stres kerja yang signifikan, dipengaruhi oleh faktor seperti beban kerja, kecepatan kerja, dan konflik peran. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disarankan agar ada penyesuaian beban kerja, fleksibilitas shift kerja, dukungan sosial, serta kejelasan peran dan penghargaan untuk mengurangi stres kerja. Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan untuk memahami dan menangani stres kerja di kalangan pekerja pelayanan kesehatan, khususnya di remote site.

This study aims to analyze the risk factors of occupational stress among healthcare workers in remote sites. The researchers conducted a cross-sectional study in January-June 2023 involving 103 respondents from various industries. The COPSOQ III research instrument was used to measure occupational stress and its risk factors. Out of the 103 respondents in the Oil & Gas, mining, and construction industries, it was observed that age, shift duration, and length of service were not significantly related to occupational stress. However, the type of industry and gender were significantly related to certain types of stress. Contract workers were more likely to experience occupational stress, burnout, and cognitive stress. Psychosocial risk factors such as job demands, role conflicts, work pace, and emotional demands were also associated with occupational stress. Job demands, work pace, and role conflicts influenced occupational stress scores, explaining 26.5% of the stress score variation. Healthcare workers in remote sites at PT. X experienced significant occupational stress, influenced by factors such as workload, work pace, and role conflicts. Based on these findings, it is suggested that adjustments be made to workload, shift flexibility, social support, as well as role clarity and rewards to reduce occupational stress. Further research is needed to understand and address occupational stress among healthcare workers, especially in remote sites."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang analisis hubungan faktor risiko pekerjaan dan non pekerjaan terhadap kelelahan pekerja konstruksi di suatu proyek bangunan tingkat tinggi di wilayah Jakarta. Banyak faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya kecelakaan di sektor konstruksi salah satunya kelelahan. Kelelahan dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor risiko pekerjaan maupun non pekerjaan. Analisis hubungan antara faktor risiko dengan kelelahan yang terjadi menjadi penting sebagai baseline data dalam upaya mengurangi kecelakaan di sektor konstruksi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain potong lintang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara faktor risiko pekerjaan: lama kerja, faktor psikososial (effort, Reward, dukungan sosial, kepuasan kerja, stress kerja) dan faktor non pekerjaan (kuantitas dan kualitas tidur) terhadap terjadinya kelelahan pekerja konstruksi Proyek X.

This thesis discusses the analysis of work related dan non work related risk factors towards fatigue of construction workers in a high-rise building project in the Jakarta. Many factors that cause accidents in the construction sector, one of them is fatigue can be affected by work and non-job risk factors. Analysis of the relationship between risk factors and fatigue that occurs becomes important as a baseline of data in an effort to reduce accidents in the construction sector. This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional design. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between occupational risk factors: duration of work, psychosocial factors (effort, Reward, social support, job satisfaction, work stress) and non-work factors (quantity and quality of sleep) to the fatigue of Project X construction workers."

"Ketidakhadiran merupakan indikator yang dapat menggambarkan baik tidaknya dari sebuah perusahaan. Ketidakhadiran yang tinggi dapat menurunkan produktivitas. Tujuan penelitian mengkaji faktor determinan ketidakhadiran pada pekerja perempuan di bagian sewing PT.X Jakarta tahun 2012.
Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional. Dengan menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Subyek diambil dari populasi dengan cara purposive sampling. Setelah dilakukan pengelompokan yang masuk kiteria inklusi menjadi 57 orang. Variabel yang diteliti adalah masa kerja, lama perjalanan, umur, status anemia, gaji/upah, riwayat penyakit sebelumnya.
Hasil analisis didapatkan variabel yang paling besar pengaruhnya terhadap ketidakhadiran adalah masa kerja dengan Odds Ratio (OR) 13,040. Sedangkan variabel umur, anemia, gaji/ upah dan riwayat penyakit terdahulu sebagai variabel confounding.

Absenteism is an indicator of a good company or the contrary. High absenteism could reduce the productivity. The purpose of this research is to assess the determinant factor of absenteism on female workers at sewing department in PT X year 2012.
This research is using cross sectional design with primary and secondary data. Subjects were taken from the population using purposive sampling method. After the categorization, the number of inclusive criteria is 57 people. Research variables are working years, travelling time, age, anemia status, wage/salary, history of previous disease.
Analysis result shows the most influencing variabel on absenteism is the working years with odds ratio 13.040, wbile age, anemia, wage / salary, and history of previous disease variabels act as confounding variabel.

"Latar belakang: Pekerjaan dengan pola kerja gilir, khususnya yang irregular, dapat mengganggu irama sirkadian dan kualitas tidur yang kemudian berdampak pada fungsi kognitif. Meskipun penting, penelitian tentang kerentanan domain kognitif terkait pola kerja gilir masih terbatas. Kualitas tidur dan fungsi kognitif menjadi kritis dalam konteks pelayanan kesehatan di rumah sakit, di mana keputusan dan tindakan harus dilakukan dengan cepat dan tepat dalam menunjang keselamatan pasien. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan potong lintang untuk mengetahui hubungan pola kerja gilir dengan gangguan fungsi kognitif. Untuk mengukur kualitas tidur, digunakan Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index bahasa Indonesia (PSQI-Ina), sementara fungsi kognitif dan domain kognitif diukur menggunakan Oxford Cognitive Screen (OCS) bahasa Indonesia (OCS-Ina), sebuah instrument kognitif untuk pasien stroke, yang sudah tervalidasi. Besar sampel minimal pada penelitian ini dihitung dengan rumus Slovin berjumlah 72 sampel. Korelasi, analisis komponen utama,analisis demografi dan regresi digunakan untuk mengkarakterisasi hubungan antara PSQI-Ina,OCS-Ina dan variabel penelitian lainnya. Hasil: Sebanyak 83 tenaga kesehatan masuk ke dalam kriteria inklusi dan diikutsertakan dalam penelitian. Hasil memperlihatkan sebanyak 16 responden (19,3%) mengalami gangguan fungsi kognitif pada domain Atensi serta 2 responden (2,4%) mengalami gangguan di 2 domain kognitif (Atensi dan Pengelolaan Angka). kesejahteraan.

Background: Irregularities in shift work, especially those marked by unpredictability, can disrupt circadian rhythms and compromise sleep quality, consequently adversely affecting cognitive function. Despite its pivotal significance, there is a shortage of research on the susceptibility of cognitive domains associated with irregular shift work. The connection between sleep quality and cognitive function becomes especially crucial in the healthcare service domain, particularly within the confines of hospitals. In such environments, where decisions and actions require swift and accurate execution, the interplay between sleep quality and cognitive function is critical to ensuring the safety and well-being of patients. Methods: The objective of this research is to conduct an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design, aiming to examine the correlation between shift work patterns and cognitive function impairment. The study utilizes the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index in Bahasa Indonesia (PSQI-Ina) to measure sleep quality. Cognitive function and cognitive domains are assessed using the Indonesian Oxford Cognitive Screen (OCS-Ina), a validated cognitive instrument for stroke patients. The minimum sample size for the research was determined, resulting in a calculated sample size of 72 participants. Correlation analysis, principal component analysis, demographic analysis, and regression analysis are employed to characterize the relationships between PSQI-Ina, OCS-Ina, and other relevant research variables. Results: A total of 83 healthcare workers meeting the inclusion criteria were included in the study. Results indicated that 16 respondents (19.3%) experienced cognitive function impairment in the Attention domain, and 2 respondents (2.4%) experienced impairment in two cognitive domains (Attention and Number). Healthcare workers engaged in secondary employment were found to have a 12.8 times higher risk of experiencing cognitive impairment (OR 12.8; CI 95% 1.7-91; p = 0.011). Similarly, healthcare workers with poor sleep quality (PSQI score >5) faced a 40.3 times higher risk of cognitive impairment (OR 40.3; CI 95% 2.2-708.1; p = 0.011). Likewise, healthcare workers working in irregular shift patterns had a 5.4 times higher risk of experiencing cognitive impairment (OR 5.4; CI 95% 0.1-26.6; p = 0.036). Conclusions: There is a correlation between shift work patterns and cognitive function impairment in the workplace. Hospitals should prioritize ergonomic shift work schedules, emphasizing speed and clockwise rotations, to support the well-being of their healthcare workers."

"Skripsi ini memaparkan pelaksanaan keselamatan kerja sebagai bentuk perlindungan bagi pekerja/buruh yang difokuskan dalam unit penjahitan yang rentan terhadap kecelakaan kerja di PT X, sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di industri garmen. Penelitian menggunakan metode yuridis-normatif dalam bentuk deskriptif analitis.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan keselamatan kerja di unit penjahitan PT X telah sesuai dengan peraturan perundang-undangan di bidang ketenagakerjaan dan mengalami peningkatan dengan berfungsinya Departemen Compliance.
Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan keselamatan kerja harus terus ditingkatkan sesuai kebutuhan dan kondisi lapangan sebagai bentuk pemenuhan aspek keselamatan kerja agar pekerja/buruh dapat bekerja dengan aman untuk peningkatan kesejahteraan hidup.

This thesis describes the implementation of safety work as a form of protection for workers/labourers focussed in sewing unit where the place is vulnerable to experience working accident at PT X which engaged in garment industry. This research was conducted by applying normative juridical method in a form of descriptive analytic design.
The result showed that the implementation of safety work in sewing unit at PT X has been according to the regulations in the manpower area and it has been increasing as the Compliance Department function actively.
The result also showed that the implementation of safety work should be increased by adjusting to the needs and condition in practice as a form of fulfilling the safety work aspect so the workers/labourers can work safely in order to increase the welfare of life.

"Kejadian abortus di Indonesia paling tinggi di Asia Tenggara, yaitu sebesar 2 juta dari 4,2 juta kasus. Abortus juga merupakan penyebab ke 4 tertinggi dari kematian ibu. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian abortus pada pekerja wanita di Perusahaan Garmen PT X Kabupaten Sumedang Provinsi Jawa Barat tahun 2013. Penelitian ini penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional, menggunakan data primer. Populasi penelitian adalah semua penderita abortus, jumlah sampel 98 dimana semua populasi dijadikan sampel. Analisis hubungan menggunakan uji chi square dengan CI 95% dan α = 0,05. Hasil menunjukan ada hubungan antara jarak kehamilan dengan kejadian abortus (7,500; 0,946-59,438). Sedangkan umur, paritas, jenis pekerjaan dan aktifitas kerja tidak berhubungan dengan kejadian abortus.

The incidence of abortion in Indonesia is the highest in South East Asia, which is two million from 4.2 million cases all over South East Asia. Abortion is also the fourth highest cause of maternal mortality. This research purposes to determine the factors associated with the incidence of abortion on women workers in the garment company named PT X Sumedang regency of West Java province in 2013. This quantitative research study with cross - sectional research design is using primary data. The study population was all patients with abortion, with the number of sample were 98, where all the population sampled. Analysis of the relationship using the chi square test with 95% CI and α=0.05. Results showed there was association between the incidence of abortion with pregnancy distance (7.500; 0.946 to 59.438). While age, parity, type of work and physical work activities not related to the incidence of abortion."

Fatigue pada pekerja merupakan sebuah risiko yang dapat timbul apabila suatu
pekerjaan dituntut untuk menggunakan tenaga fisik dan pikiran mental yang
berlebihan serta dituntut untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaan dalam waktu yang terbatas
tanpa adanya waktu istirahat yang optimal. Fatigue merupakan risiko utama dari
pekerja shift seperti pada pekerja shift industri MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and
Overhaul) transportasi udara. Transportasi udara dituntut beroperasi selama 24/7 dan
memiliki kewajiban untuk memenuhi standar kelaikudaraan. Salah satu industri MRO
adalah Perusahaan ?X?. Bekerja dalam sistem shift menjadi sumber risiko fatigue bagi
pekerjanya karena bekerja bertentangan dengan irama sirkadian tubuh, oleh karena
itu dibutuhkan penilaian keluhan fatigue pada pekerjanya sebagai langkah awal
program fatigue management. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor risiko
keluhan fatigue pada pekerja shift dan merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan
menggunakan disain studi cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan
Oktober-Desember 2015, di bagian Domestic & International Line Maintenance
Perusahaan ?X?, dengan sampel penelitian sebesar 105 responden. Hasil
menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara shift kerja (p=0,002),
kerja lembur (0,005), kuantitas tidur (p=0,048), dan commuting time (p=0,042)
dengan keluhan fatigue.

amount of rests. Fatigue is a risk that commonly occurs for shift workers, including
shift workers in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) industry for aircrafts
including commercial airlines. Air transportation operates for 24/7 dan has an
obligation to fulfill the standards of aircraft airworthiness. In doing so, one of the MRO
industry, Company ?X? develop a system of shift workers with standardized skills to
operate 24/7 for the sake of upholding the airworthiness of aircrafts and adjusting to
the flight schedules. Working in shifts is a risk to the workers, especially the risk of
being fatigue, because working in shifts forces them to work against their natural body
clock. In order to start the development of fatigue management program in Company
?X?, it is needed to assess the subjective feelings toward fatigue as a starting point.

This research was done in October?December 2015 in the Domestic and International
Line Maintenance of Company ?X? with a total sample of 105 respondents. Results
showed that there is a correlation between work shifts (p=0,002), excessive working
hours (p=0,005), quantity of sleep (p=0,048), and commuting time (0,042) with
subjective feelings toward fatigue.;Fatigue among workers is a risk that can arise when a job is required to use execessive
physical and mental force to complete the work within a limited time without optimal
amount of rests. Fatigue is a risk that commonly occurs for shift workers, including
shift workers in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) industry for aircrafts
including commercial airlines. Air transportation operates for 24/7 dan has an
obligation to fulfill the standards of aircraft airworthiness. In doing so, one of the MRO
industry, Company ?X? develop a system of shift workers with standardized skills to
operate 24/7 for the sake of upholding the airworthiness of aircrafts and adjusting to
the flight schedules. Working in shifts is a risk to the workers, especially the risk of
being fatigue, because working in shifts forces them to work against their natural body
clock. In order to start the development of fatigue management program in Company
?X?, it is needed to assess the subjective feelings toward fatigue as a starting point.
This quantitative research is conducted to determine work related and non work related
factors toward the subjective feelings of fatigue with a cross sectional study design.
