Atmosphere of a gallery is influenced by its spatial elements and art objects that are displayed within. As a visual display, art objects carry material elements such as scale, material texture, colors, and form. Meanwhile, spatial elements of a gallery may offer both material and immaterial elements such as light, sound, smell, temperature as well as scale, material texture, colors, and form. The staging of these elements defines the atmosphere which then creates certain coherence, intimacy, and circulation."
