"Cellular manufacturing is a practical aspect of grouping technology in where similar parts and dissimilar machines are grouped into cells to exploit the cost-effectiveness of mass production and flexibility of job shop manufacturing. In this research, a Genetic Algorithm (GA) approach is developed to solve the grouping problem in cellular manufacturing systems. The grouping problem of both machines and parts is formulated as a multi-objective mathematical program; first, minimizing intra-cell and inter-cell movement costs and second, maximizing the importance of allocating the parts to the cells with regards to the location of the machines. The weight of each part for each machine is calculated by Analytical Hierarchy Process. Then, the multi-objective GA has been solved by allocating weights to objectives. The results have also been compared with the results of heuristic Jaccard Coefficient method."

"Delay teknis dapat terjadi dalam setiap penerbangan pesawat. Dalam tulisan ini disampaikan mengenai cara mendapatkan formulasi rumus delay teknis perbulan dari pesawat Boeing 747-400 milik PT. Garuda Indonesia. Diidentifikasikan ada 34 variabel komponen pesawat yang menyebabkan delay teknis dan satu variabel take off (rev), yang selanjutnya dicari hubungannya dengan jumlah delay teknis perbulan. Dari 328 data delay teknis yang terjadi dari Januari 1996 s.d Desember 2000, dengan menggunakan pendekatan pengujian selisih antara dua proporsi dan regresi berganda, di dapat ada 3 variabel penyebab delay teknis yang berpengaruh kuat dengan jumlah delay teknis perbulan yaitu x1 (take off (rev)), x2 (Landing Gear (ATA 32)), dan x3 (Engine (ATA 72 )).
Technical delay can be happened in each flight of the aircraft. This paper presents about how to discover equation for technical delay per month from Boeing 747-400 aircraft belong to Garuda Indonesia Airline. There are 34 component aircraft variables that cause technical delay and one take off ( rev) variable have been identified that will be investigated , which are related to total technical delay per month . From 328 technical delay data which occurred happen from January 1996 until December 2000 , by using experimental between two proportion and multiple regression approaches, three significant technical delay variables have been found which cause to total technical delay per month : xl ( take off (rev) ) , x2 (Landing Gear (ATA 32)) , x3 (Engine (ATA 72))."
