"Summary:
Stress is very much part of life in the 21st century, and has overtaken the common cold as the major reason for taking time off work. But while we cannot avoid life's pressures, we can influence the degree to which they affect us, and how we react. This book will show you how. It examines why we become stressed, how the stress response is unique to each of us and why stress, particularly when combined with fatigue, can create a vicious circle that has serious implications for our long-term health. So, what's the answer? As you'll discover, there is no single solution; instead the authors suggest a unique blend of practical solutions that include: * Uncovering your stress triggers and stress response * Learning how to reframe negative beliefs * Effective time management that includes relaxation and fun * Becoming more resilient by tuning up your stress hormones * Utilising the power of sleep and exercise * Beating the sugar and stimulant trap * Fuel-up to feel good - discover the key nutrients for energy and resilience With a section on quick fixes to feel better now, as well as guidance on putting together a long-term action plan, The Stress Cure will empower you to take back control and live a healthier, more balanced life"

Introduction: Everyone definitely has experienced stress in their daily life regardless. However, medical students experience a higher level of stress than other college students in other faculty. Stress could induce some negative impacts such as declining health, lowering cognitive skills, anxiety, and burnout. Therefore, this study aims to measure the stress level of preclinical medical students in University of Indonesia and its correlation with academic performance.
Method: This cross-sectional study used PSS-10 questionnaire that has been translated to Indonesia language as an instrument to measure stress level. Their academic performance is measured by students’ final grade in the last module. Final grades are divided to three groups, highly satisfactory with grades of A- and A, satisfactory with grades from B- to B+, and less satisfactory with grade below B-. Kruskal-wallis or ANOVA test is used to find a statistical significance between stress levels in groups.
Results: The result is first year students have the highest stress level with the median score of 21,00±(6.754), second year students with median score of 19,00±(6.029), and the third year students have the median score of 19,00±(6.543). In every year, the very satisfactory group has the lowest mean score and median stress score compared to other groups in the same year, with a statistical difference only appear in third year students (p<0.05).
Conclusion: There are not enough evidence to conclude a significance correlation between stress level and academic performance, since the statistical difference is only found in the third year medical students (p<0.05).

Introduction: The 2019 general election in Indonesia was the first general election to be held simultaneously and election officers (KPPS) had to complete the vote count on the same day with additional ballot papers. This situation caused high mortality and morbidity among KPPS officers due to stress and fatigue caused by job overload. This study was aimed to explore the factors related stress response in 2019 election KPPS officers.
Methods: A cross-sectional study design was conducted to the issue under the study included 80 data of KPPS officers at Polling Station (TPS) in Jakarta, Banten, and Yogyakarta. Occupational stressor and stress response was assesed with NBJSQ bahasa Indonesia. Multiple logistic regression models were used to explore factors associated with stress response.
Results: The most perceived occupational stressor experienced by the 2019 General Election KPPS officers in this study were quantitative job overload (47,5%).The stress response that occurred in the 2019 General Election KPPS officers in this study was fatigue (17.5%). There was no relationship between occupational stressor and individual factors with stress response (p>0.05). The stressor can trigger the incidence of heart attacks in predisposed individuals.
