"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas modus manipulasi sebagai aspek humor yang terdapat dalam novel Pendekar dari Chapei karya Kwee Tek Hoay. Dalam penelitian ini, modus manipulasi dilakukan oleh beberapa tokoh, yaitu Lie Ke Khiang, Lo Lauw Nio, Gouw Beng Nio, dan Ong Boen Lok sedangkan tokoh yang dimanipulasi adalah Siauw Liep Nio, Lie Ke Khiang, dan Soen Niet Nio. Modus manipulasi yang tergambar dalam skripsi ini tidak semua termasuk ke dalam aspek humor. Bentuk modus manipulasi yang dapat dikategorikan sebagai aspek humor. Berdasarkan konsep tindakan lucu menurut Monro dalam Endahwarni, 1994:34-36 ada empat bentuk tindakan lucu dalam novel, yaitu berbentuk omong kosong atau bualan; kemalangan; pengetahuan, pemikiran, dan keahlian; dan penghinaan yang terselubung. Berdasarkan klasifikasi humor menurut Raskin dalam Endahwarni, 1994:30-31 bentuk manipulasi dapat dimasukkan sebagai aspek humor, yaitu intended humor; ridicule; dan suppression atau repression humor.

ABSTRACTThis thesis discusses the manipulation mode as the aspect of humor contained in Kwee Tek Hoay 39s novel Pendekar dari Chapei. In this study, the manipulation mode is performed by several characters, namely Lie Ke Khiang, Lo Lauw Nio, Gouw Beng Nio, and Ong Boen Lok while the manipulated characters are Siauw Liep Nio and Soen Niet Nio. The manipulation modes illustrated in this thesis are not all included in the aspect of humor. The forms of manipulation mode that can be categorized as aspects of humor. According to the theory of humorous act by Monro in Endahwarni, 1994 34 mdash 36 , there are four forms of humorous acts, which are in the form of nonsense words or gibberish misfortune knowledge, thoughts, and expertise and disguised humiliation. According to the classification of humor by Raskin in Endahwarni, 1994 30 mdash 31 , the form of manipulation can be included as an aspect of humor, i.e. intended humor ridicule and suppression or repression humor. "

"Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menganalisis tentang perjalanan Pendekar Tanpa Nama dalam novel Nagabumi I. Penulis menganalisis pengembaraan Pendekar Tanpa Nama berdasarkan unsur objektif karya sastra, yaitu alur, tokoh, dan latar. Metode yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dan pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif. Setelah melalui penelitian dan pengkajian, diperoleh hasil bahwa cerita silat dalam novel ini ditunjang oleh aspek alur dalam hal perjalanan pengembaraan Pendekar Tanpa Nama. Selain itu, aspek tokoh dan penokohan juga memperkuat keutuhan cerita silat ini. Dengan berbagai pendekar yang muncul, keunggulan tokoh PendekarTanpa Nama dalam hal bertarung diperlihatkan. Latar dalam novel ini juga berfungsi sebagai titik-titik pengembaraan seorang pendekar yang berdasarkan pada abad ke-7.

In this thesis, the authour tries to analize how the Pendekar Tanpa Nama (The Anonymous Knight) wanders based on novel Nagabumi I. The analysis involves objective aspects of literature such as plot, characterization, dan setting, where qualitative method and descriptive approach are used. After several research and analysis, it is concluded that in terms of the journey the story is supported by the plot. Moreover, the aspect of characterization strenghten the whole story in terms of lighting scene. The setting in this novel functions as the milestones of his journey in the 7th century. "
