"Skripsi ini membahas novel Demi Allah, Aku Jadi Teroris karya Damien Dematra yang mengisahkan kehidupan seorang perempuan teroris yang bernama Kemala. Kemala merupakan seorang perempuan lemah lembut yang berubah menjadi seorang teroris yang berbahaya karena adanya sebuah pemicu. Pemicu yang berperan dalam perubahan sifat dan sikap Kemala dalam hidupnya sebagian besar dilakukan oleh laki-laki. Penulis ingin mengungkap ketidakadilan gender yang terjadi pada tokoh Kemala serta gambaran terorisme yang terdapat dalam novel dan hubungannya dengan kasus terorisme yang terjadi di Indonesia, khususnya di Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif analitis serta pendekatan gender dan sosiologi sastra. Pendekatan gender digunakan untuk mengetahui ketidakadilan gender yang dialami Kemala. Pendekatan sosiologi sastra digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan konteks dunia nyata dengan novel Demi Allah, Aku Jadi Teroris. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa Kemala mengalami ketidakadilan gender. Selain itu, adanya kemiripan antara peristiwa teror yang terjadi di Jakarta dengan yang ada dalam novel Demi Allah, Aku Jadi Teroris.

This study discusses the novel Demi Allah, Aku Jadi Teroris by Damien Dematra which tells the life of a female terrorist named Kemala. Kemala is a gentle woman who turns into a dangerous terrorist because of some triggers. The triggers that cause the changes in the nature and attitude of Kemala mostly done by men. The author would like to uncover the gender inequality that occur in Kemala figure as well as an overview of terrorism contained in the novel and its association with terrorism cases that occurred in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta. This study is conducted using descriptive analysis method and approach to gender and sociological literature. Gender approach uses to determine gender injustice that Kemala experienced. Sociological literature approach is used to determine the relationship of real-world context with the novel Demi Allah, Aku Jadi Teroris. The results prove that Kemala experienced gender inequality. Moreover, there is similarity between terror events that occurred in Jakarta as in the novel Demi Allah, Aku Jadi Teroris."

"This paper is based on the reflections of the life experiences of a woman that grew up within the cultures of the Pesantren. At first, this paper was merely for academic purposes that demanded reflective research. Most of the data was collected in a reasonably short amount of time in the last two months of 2010 by relying on life experience memories and enforced by data from results of observations, interviews and personal documents. This research tries to give an overview and becomes a small part of an effort to understanding how a human woman brought up within the cultures of the Pesantren interprets herself as a woman. A woman who deals with various feelings, thoughts, questions, concerns and expectations in between habits and habituations embedded in the existing culture. Although admittedly, this paper does not intend to give a generalization of the Pesantren culture, especially on the ways of how one ?grows into a woman? and the social consequences of the female self."
