"In the recent years, palm vein recognition has been studied to overcome problems in conventional systems in biometrics technology (finger print, face, and iris), such as convenience and performance. However, due to the image of palm vein that is not always clear, the veins are not segmented pro-perly, therefore, the recognition accuracy may be degraded. To overcome this problem, we propose a palm vein recognition system using Local Line Binary Pattern (LLBP) method that can extract robust features from the palm vein images that has unclear veins. LLBP is an advanced method of Local Binary Pattern (LBP), a texture descriptor based on the gray level comparison of a neighborhood of pixels. There are four major steps in this paper, Region of Interest (ROI) detection, image preprocess-sing, features extraction using LLBP method, and matching using Fuzzy k-NN classifier. The propo-sed method was applied on the CASIA Multi-Spectral Image Database. Experimental results show that the proposed method using LLBP has a good performance with recognition accuracy 97.3%. In future, experiments will be conducted to observe which parameter can affect processing time and rec-ognition accuracy of LLBP is needed.

Saat ini penelitian tentang pengenalan pembuluh darah pada telapak tangan (palm vein recognition) telah banyak dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah dalam teknologi biometrika yang lainnya (pengenalan sidik jari, wajah dan iris) seperti ketidaknyamanan pengguna saat akusisi citra maupun tingkat keakuratan pengenalannya. Namun masalah yang sering muncul dalam sistem pengenalan pembuluh darah pada telapak tangan (palm vein) adalah fitur tekstur pembuluh darah (vein) yang kurang jelas. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, paper ini mengusulkan sistem pengenalan palm vein menggunakan metode Local Line Binary Pattern (LLBP) yang telah teruji dapat mengekstraksi fitur pembuluh darah pada gambar dengan jelas. LLBP merupakan metode pengembangan dari Local Binary Pattern (LBP), metode yang menggunakan kombinasi nilai-nilai biner dari piksel kete-tanggaannya. Empat tahapan utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu deteksi Region of Interest (ROI), pre-processing yang terdiri dari resize, penghilangan noise dan subtract citra, ekstraksi fitur menggunakan metode LLBP dan pengenalan menggunakan Fuzzy k-NN. Metodologi yang diusulkan telah diuji pada database citra palm vein CASIA Multi-Spectral. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa meto-dologi yang diusulkan dapat mencapai akurasi sampai dengan 97.3%. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, diperlukan observasi untuk mengetahui parameter yang mempengaruhi waktu proses dan akurasi pengenalan dari metode LLBP"

"Latar belakang. Vena femoralis merupakan situs vaskular yang sangat penting terutama pada kondisi gawat darurat. Pada bulan Oktober 2018 di Rumah Sakit Cipto Mangunkusumo, dilakukan 152 kali kanulasi vena femoralis di unit gawat darurat dan ruang perawatan untuk keperluan resusitasi. Kanulasi vena femoralis saat ini dilakukan menggunakan ultrasonografi dan topografi anatomi. Penggunaan ultrasonografi pada kondisi gawat darurat dinilai kurang praktis karena bergantung ketersediaan alat dan pengalaman operator. Teknik topografi anatomi untuk kanulasi vena femoralis yang selama ini dikenal mengandalkan pulsasi arteri femoralis. Teknik tersebut terkendala apabila pulsasi arteri femoralis sulit dittemukan, seperti pada kondisi syok atau henti jantung. Penelitian ini bertujuan meneliti teknik V sebagai topografi anatomi baru untuk kanulasi vena femoralis tanpa bergantung kepada terabanya pulsasi arteri femoralis.
Metode. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian potong lintang terhadap 115 pasien dewasa usia 18-65 tahun dengan IMT 18-25 kg/m2 yang menjalani operasi terencana di Instalasi Bedah Pusat RSCM pada periode Februari – Maret 2020. Analisis Mcnemar dilakukan untuk membandingkan proporsi ketepatan teknik V dan teknik perabaan pulsasi arteri femoralis dalam menentukan lokasi vena femoralis dengan ultrasonografi sebagai alat untuk mengonfirmasi lokasi vena femoralis. Data jarak lokasi prediksi vena femoralis berdasarkan teknik V dan teknik perabaan pulsasi arteri femoralis ke titik tengah vena femoralis berdasarkan ultrasonografi juga akan dikumpulkan dan dilakukan analisis korelasi.
Hasil. Proporsi ketepatan teknik V dalam menentukan lokasi vena femoralis sebesar 93,9% sedangkan teknik perabaan pulsasi arteri femoralis sebesar 96,5%. Dari uji Mcnemar tidak didapatkan perbedaan kedua proporsi ketepatan dari tiap-tiap teknik (p 0,549). Terdapat korelasi positif yang bermakna secara statistik antara jarak lokasi prediksi vena femoralis berdasarkan teknik V dan teknik perabaan pulsasi arteri femoralis ke lokasi vena femoralis yang ditunjukkan oleh ultrasonografi dengan kekuatan korelasi sedang (r 0,548, p < 0,001).
Simpulan. Teknik V sebagai mempunyai ketepatan yang sama dengan teknik perabaan pulsasi arteri femoralis dalam menentukan lokasi vena femoralis.

Background. Femoral vein is an important vascular access especially during emergency situation. On October 2018, in emergency room dan ward of Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, femoral vein cannulation was done 152 times in a month for resuscitation need. Nowadays, femoral vein cannulation was done using ultrasonography and topographic anatomy. The use of ultrasonography in emergency situation is considered not practical because it depends on the availability of the tools and operator experience. Topographic anatomy technique relies on pulsation of femoral artery but it can be difficult to find in condition such as shock and cardiac arrest. This study aims to study the V technique as new topographic anatomy for femoral vein cannulation without relying on pulsation of femoral artery.
Methods. This study was a cross sectional study on 115 adult patients aged 18-65 years old with BMI 18-25 kg/m2 who underwent elective surgery in Surgery Centre Installation of Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital on February until March 2020. Mcnemar analysis was done to compare the precision of V technique with palpation of femoral artery pulsation prediction location distance based on V technique and pulsation of femoral artery technique to the midpoint of femoral vein using ultrasonography were also collected and were analyzed with correlation analysis.
Results. The proportion of precision of V technique in determining femoral vein location was 93,9% while palpation of femoral artery pulsation technique was 96,5%. From Mcnemar analysis there was no difference of precision from each technique (p 0,549). There was a significant positive correlation statistically on femoral vein location prediction distance between V technique and palpation of femoral artery pulsation technique using ultrasonography with moderate correlation power ( r 0,548, p <0,001).
Conclusion. V technique has the same precision with palpation of femoral artery pulsation technique in determining femoral vein location.

Syok pada anak masih menjadi masalah utama karena mortalitas yang tinggi. Penilaian respons terhadap resusitasi cairan dapat menggunakan parameter klinis dan parameter hemodinamik invasif maupun non-invasif. Modalitas ultrasound cardiac output monitor (USCOM) pada populasi anak dengan syok memiliki korelasi yang baik dengan baku emas parameter hemodinamik invasif, tetapi memiliki beberapa keterbatasan. Modalitas lain yang semakin berkembang yaitu menggunakan point of care ultrasound (POCUS), dengan salah satu penilaian yang dapat dilakukan adalah pemeriksaan indeks kolapsibilitas vena jugularis interna (IKVJI). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara stroke volume dengan IKVJI dalam menilai respons resusitasi cairan pada anak syok. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain observasional analitik, dilakukan di RSUPN Cipto Mangunkusumo pada bulan Maret hingga Juni 2024. Subyek penelitian adalah anak usia 1 bulan hingga 18 tahun yang mengalami syok yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Parameter klinis, penilaian stroke volume dengan USCOM dan IKVJI dinilai sebelum dan sesudah resusitasi cairan. Berdasarkan analisis studi didapatkan 47 subyek sampel penelitian, 27 orang perempuan (57,4%), dengan median usia 82,9 (4,0–212,0) bulan. Status gizi, terbanyak adalah gizi baik (42,6%). Diagnosis terbanyak adalah syok hipovolemik (74,5%) diikuti syok sepsis (25,5%). Sebanyak 2 pasien meninggal dalam 24 jam pertama.  Pemantuan post-resusitasi cairan menunjukkan perbaikan laju nadi, tekanan darah, dan mean arterial pressure (p<0,0001), peningkatan nilai stroke volume (p<0,0001), dan perubahan nilai IKVJI (p<0,0001). Korelasi delta stroke volume dan delta IKVJI adalah negatif lemah (r=-0,309, p=0,035). Korelasi MAP dan IKVJI juga negatif lemah  (r=-0,359, p=0,013).


Shock in children is still a major problem due to high mortality. Assessment of the response to fluid resuscitation can be done using clinical and hemodynamic parameters through invasive and non-invasive tools. The ultrasound cardiac output monitor (USCOM) among children with shock has a good correlation with the gold standard of invasive hemodynamic parameters but has some limitations. Another commonly used modality is point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), with one of the assessments being the examination of the internal jugular vein collapsibility index (IJV-CI). The aim of this study is to determine the correlation between stroke volume and IJV-CI changes in order to assess fluid responsiveness in children with shock. Between March and June 2024, an analytical observational study was undertaken in the emergency department and pediatric intensive care unit of a tertiary referral hospital. The study subjects were children aged 1 month to 18 years who experienced shock and met the inclusion criteria. A thorough history taking, physical examination, and stroke volume assessment using the Ultrasonic Cardiac Output Monitor, and IJV-CI utilizing ultrasound before and after fluid resuscitation were conducted. This study included 47 subjects, of which there were 27 females (57.4%), with a median age of 82.9 (4.0–212.0) months. For nutritional status, most were normal (42.6%). The most common diagnosis was hypovolemic shock (74.5%) followed by septic shock (25.5%). Mortality in the first 24 hours was 2 patients. After fluid resuscitation, there was an improvement in pulse rate, blood pressure, and mean arterial pressure (p<0.0001), as well as increased stroke volume post fluid resuscitation (p<0.0001) and changes in IJV-CI post fluid resuscitation (p<0.0001). The correlation between stroke volume delta and IJV-CI delta was negative and weak (r=-0.309, p=0.035). The correlation between IJV-CI and MAP was also negative and weak (r=-0.359, p=0.013).

"American Venous Forum Commitee dari tahun 2000 ndash; 2011 terus mengembangkan sistem skoring penilaian derajat keparahan penyakit vena yang praktis bernama Venous Clinical Severity Score VCSS , namun di Indonesia, instrument VCSS hingga saat ini belum pernah dilakukan validasi. Penelitian ini adalah uji diagnostik skoring VCSS dengan membandingkan pemeriksaan penyakit vena menggunakan skoring VCSS oleh dokter umum dibandingkan dengan pemeriksaan klinis CEAP oleh dokter spesalis vaskuler sebagai baku emasnya. Penelitian dilakukan di perusahaan garmen di Jakarta Utara pada bulan Oktober dengan nilai sensivitas 87,5 , spesifitas 96,3 , nilai duga positif 83,3 dan nilai duga negatif 97,3 . Dari Hasil analisis kurva ROC nilai Area Under the Curve AUC sebesar 94,9 sangat baik. Faktor risiko paling dominan terhadap kejadian IVK pada pekerja wanita dengan posisi kerja berdiri adalah masa kerja lebih dari 1 tahun dengan.

The American Venous Forum Commitee from 2000 2011 continues to develop a practice scoring system on the severity of venous disease called Venous Clinical Severity Score VCSS , but in Indonesia, this VCSS instrument, until now has never been validated. This study is a VCSS scoring diagnostic test which compere the examination CVI using VCSS by general practitioner and using clinical class of CEAP by vascular specialist as gold standard. Based on the research, the VVTB diagnostic test by using VCSS score was 87.5 sensitivity, 96.3 specificity, 83.3 positive predictive value and 97.3 negative predictive value. From ROC curve analysis, the value of Area Under the Curve AUC is 94.9 which means very good. "ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang. Pungsi arteri femoralis yang tidak disengaja pada saat
kanulasi vena femoralis memiliki insiden yang cukup tinggi(20-50%).
Penambahan fleksi lutut pada posisi abduksi-eksorotasi(posisi kodok)
meningkatkan luas lintang vena femoralis. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat pengaruh posisi kodok, posisi abduksi-eksorotasi dan posisi
anatomis terhadap jarak antara arteri dan vena femoralis.
Metode. Penelitian ini merupakan studi analitik observasional dengan
rancangan potong lintang pada satu kelompok dengan pengukuran
berulang. Jarak arteri-vena, dan lebar sisa vena diukur pada tiga posisi
berbeda, masing-masing sebanyak dua kali. Pertama gambar diambil
pada semua pasien oleh satu operator dan mesin ultrasonografi yang
sama. Setelah itu dilakukan pengukuran pada gambar dengan fitur
kaliper pada mesin ultrasonografi oleh operator yang berbeda.
Hasil. Penambahan jarak arteri-vena femoralis yang terbesar tampak
pada perubahan posisi dari posisi anatomis ke posisi kodok (2.7 mm
(95%CI: 2.2-3.2 mm), diikuti dengan perubahan dari posisi anatomis ke
posisi abduksi-eksorotasi (2.1 mm (95%CI: 1.7-2.5mm).
Simpulan. Jarak antara arteri dan vena femoralis pada posisi kodok
lebih besar dibandingkan kedua posisi lainnya.

ABSTRACT
Background: The incidence of unintentional arterial puncture during
cannulation of femoral vein was high(20-50%). The addition of knee
flexion to abcudtion-exorotation position(frog position) have been shown to increase the cross sectional area of femoral vein. The purpose
of this study is to compare the distance between femoral artery and vein in frog position, abduction-exorotation position and anatomical
position.
Method:. This study is an analytical observational study with cross
sectional design within one grup with repeated measurement. The
distance between artery and vein was measured in three position. The
measurement was taken twice for each position. First picture was taken
by one operator and one ultrasonography for all patient. Then another
operator measured the distances with caliper feature on the ultrasonograph.
Result: The artery-vein distance in frog position(7.26 +0.69 mm) was
greater than in abduction-exorotaion position(6.65 +0.94 mm) and
anatomical position(4.53 +1.99 mm). The difference of the artery-vein
distance between frog and anatomical position was 2.7mm(95%CI: 2.2-
2.3 mm).
Discusion: The frog position provided the greatest distance between
femoral artery and vein"

Latar Belakang. Penegakan diagnosis DVT akut ekstremitas bawah dengan sarana diagnostik yang ada termasuk venous duplex ultrasonography VDUS masih terkendala biaya, waktu dan tenaga operator. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai efektivitas skor Wells, kadar D-Dimer atau skor kombinasi keduanya dibandingkan dengan VDUS dalam mendeteksi kasus-kasus DVT akut ekstremitas bawah.Metode. Dilakukan studi diagnostik dengan desain cross-sectional yang dilakukan di Divisi Bedah Vaskular dan Endovaskular Departemen Ilmu Bedah FKUI-RSCM pada semua pasien dewasa dengan dugaan DVT akut ekstremitas bawah yang dikonsultasikan ke Divisi Bedah Vaskular RSCM yang dikonfirmasi dengan pemeriksaan VDUS pada periode Januari 2014 ndash; Desember 2015 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Sumber data diambil dari rekam medik data sekunder . Analisis data berupa uji diagnostik dan diuji dengan SPSS version 17.0 for WindowsHasil. Studi melibatkan 85 orang. Didapatkan kejadian DVT akut ekstremitas bawah sebesar 65,88 . Sensitivitas dan nilai duga negatif tertinggi 100.00 didapatkan pada skor kombinasi II dan IV. Sedangkan spesifisitas tertinggi 89,66 dan nilai duga positif tertinggi 92,68 diperoleh pada skor kombinasi III. Skor dengan nilai diagnostik berimbang sensitivitas 87,50 ; spesifisitas 72,41 dijumpai pada skor Wells 3 level I.Simpulan. Skor Wells dan VDUS memiliki efektivitas sebanding dalam deteksi kasus-kasus kecurigaan DVT akut ekstremitas bawah.

ABSTRACT
Introduction. The diagnosis of acute lower extremity DVT with available resources including VDUS was still costly, time consuming and power consumng. The purpose of this study was to evaluate effectivity of Wells score, D Dimer and combination of both compared with VDUS in detecting lower extremity DVT. Methods. This was a cross sectional diagnostic study that was carried out at Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Division of Surgery Department of FKUI RSCM between by enrolling all adult patients with suspected acute DVT of lower extremity that was consulted to Vascular Surgery Division and confirmed with VDUS study between January 2014 and December 2015 that meet inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data source was taken from medical record. Data analysis in the form of diagnostic study was performed with SPSS version 17.0 for WindowsResult. The study enrolled 85 subjects, of which 65,88 was found to have acute lower extremity DVT. The highest sensitivity and negative predictive value 100,00 was discovered in combination score II and IV. The combination score III had the highest specificity 89,66 and positive predictive value 92,68 . Whereas the most balanced diagnostic study score was the Wells score 3 Level I with sensitivity 87,50 and specificity 72,41 . Conclusion. Wells score and VDUS were equally effective in detection of lower extremity acute DVT cases. "

"In the palm oil refining processes, the free fatty acid content is reduced to an acceptable level by using steam-stripping that causes, also, the loss of nutraceuticals such as tocopherols and carotenoids. An alternative method, such as solvent extraction, to separate free fatty acids, especially palmitic acid as the major free fatty acid present in palm oil, will conserves not only the important nutraceuticals but, also, conserves energy because a steam requirement is eliminated. The objective of this research is to evaluate the performance of Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NADES), each consisting of betaine as the hydrogen bonding acceptor and a polyalcohol as the hydrogen bonding donor, to extract palmitic acid from palm oil. The goal is to obtain a NADES that is able to extract palmitic acid from palm oil with the highest extraction yield. The viscosity of various studied NADES was 10-236 cSt while the polarity parameter, determined by using Nile red as the solvatochromic dye, was 48.9-50.8 kcal/mol. The obtained data shows that, for NADES having similar polarity to that of betaine, the extraction yields reduce with increasing viscosity of the NADES. The highest extraction yield of 60% (w/w), corresponding to a distribution coefficient value of 0.75, was obtained by using NADES consisting of betaine and 1,2-butanediol. The extraction yield and distribution coefficient values indicated the potential of NADES, prepared by friendly compounds of betaine and polyalcohols, as alternative green solvents in the solvent extraction process when separating free fatty acids from palm oil."

"Kemitraan kelapa sawit antara Perusahaan Komersil dengan petani telah berlangsung sejak tahun 1980an. Meskipun kemitraan tersebut ditujukan untuk memberikan manfaat bagi kedua belah pihak, masih banyak ditemui permasalahan. Penelitian mengenai permasalahan kemitraan inti-plasma dari perspektif Perusahaan Kelapa Sawit masih terbatas, sehingga perlu dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari akar masalah atas permasalahan yang timbul dari program kemitraan Perusahaan XXX serta memberikan usulan strategi untuk menghasilkan kemitraan yang berkelanjutan dan saling menguntungkan. Penelitian menggunakan teori logika kelembagaan untuk mengevaluasi program kemitraan kelapa sawit Perusahaan XXX dan key mediating variable model dari teori komitmen dan kepercayaan untuk mengembangkan strategi. Hasil dari penelitian ini meliputi tujuh poin akar masalah dari faktor di dalam kemitraan dan tiga poin akar masalah dari faktor di luar kemitraan serta sembilan poin usulan strategi yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan profitabilitas kemitraan bagi perusahaan XXX. Selain meningkatkan profitabilitas sembilan poin strategi tersebut sekaligus dilakukan untuk menghindari biaya terminasi kemitraan yang rendah dari petani, meningkatkan manfaat kemitraan bagi petani, menyamakan nilai-nilai antara petani dengan Perusahaan XXX, memperbaiki komunikasi Perusahaan XXX kepada petani dan yang terakhir mencegah terjadinya tindakan oportunistik yang dilakukan pengurus koperasi. Selain itu, penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi kepada regulator terkait penetapan harga TBS serta penegakan terhadap peraturan yang berlaku.

Oil palm partnerships between commercial companies and smallholders have been going on since the 1980s. Although the partnership is intended to provide benefits for both parties, there are still many problems. Research on the problems of nucleus-plasma partnerships from the perspective of oil palm companies is still limited, so it needs to be done. This study aims to find the root cause of partnership problems carried out by Company XXX as well as to provide a business strategy to generate sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships. The research was conducted by looking for the root causes of the low profitability of partnerships conducted with farmers, then looking for solutions to each of the root causes and at the same time strengthening the variables that affect farmer commitment and trust in partnerships. This study using institutional logic theory to evaluate Company XXX's oil palm program partnerships and key mediating variables models from commitment and trust theory to develop strategy. The results of this study include seven points of the root causes within the partnership and three points of the root causes outside the partnership as well as nine points of strategic advice that are expected to increase partnership profitability for XXX companies. In addition to increasing profitability, the nine-point strategy is simultaneously carried out to avoid lower partnership termination costs from farmers, increase benefits for farmers, equalize partnership values between farmers and Company XXX, improve communication between Company XXX and farmers and finally prevent opportunistic actions. by cooperative managers. In addition, this study provides recommendations to regulators regarding FFB pricing and enforcement of applicable regulations."

"The largest region that produces oil palm in Indonesia has an important role in improving the welfare an economy of the society. Oil palm production has increased significantly in Riau Province in every period. To determine the production development for the next few years, we proposed a prediction of the production results. The dataset were taken to be the time series data of the last 8 years (2005-2013) with the function and benefits of oil palm as the parameters. The study was undertaken by comparing the performance of Support Vector Regression (SVR) method and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). From the experiment, SVR resulted the better model compared to the ANN. This is shown by the correlation coefficient of 95% and 6% for MSE in the kernel Radial Basis Function (RBF), whereas ANN resulted only 74% for R2 and 9% for MSE on the 8th experiment with hidden neuron 20 and learning rate 0,1. SVR model generated predictions for next 3 years which rose 3%-6% from the actual data and RBF model predictions
Daerah penghasil kelapa sawit terbesar di Indonesia mempunyai peranan penting dalam peningkatan kesejahteraan dan ekonomi masyarakat. Produksi kelapa sawit mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan di Provinsi Riau dalam setiap kurun waktu, untuk menentukan perkembangan produksi beberapa tahun ke depan, kami mengusulkan suatu prediksi dari hasil produksi. Dataset yang diambil adalah data time series dari data yang diperoleh selama 8 tahun terakhir (2005-2013) dengan fungsi dan manfaat kelapa sawit sebagai parameter. Dalam implementasinya peramalan dilakukan dengan membadingkan kinerja metode Support Vector Regression (SVR) dan Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Dari percobaan, SVR menghasilkan model terbaik dibandingkan dengan ANN yaitu ditunjukkan dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 95% dan MSE 6% pada kernel Radial Basis Function (RBF), sedangkan ANN hanya menghasilkan R2 sebesar 74% dan MSE 9% pada percobaan ke-8 dengan hidden neuron 20 dan learning rate 0,1. SVR model menghasilkan prediksi untuk 3 tahun kedepan yang memiliki kenaikan antara 3%-6% dari data aktual dan prediksi model RBF"

The Oil derrived from the oil palm plant has become one of the most contested agricultural commodities in Southeast Asia, and development of novel uses for it is in high demand. Trehalose fatty acid esters have begun attracting attention due to their specific potent applications (based on the exceptional intrinsic properties of the hydrophilic trehalose part) and their amphiphilicity. In order to enhance the usability of palm products and trehalose fatty acid esters, in this present study we focused on the use of trehose fatty acid monoesters (TMEs) prepared with natural fatty acids extracted from oil palms as cryoprotectants.
