"Pada tahun 2015 PT. XYZ baru saja membuat sebuah direktorat baru untuk manajemen proyek, untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi oleh XYZ. Salah satu permasalahan terbesarnya adalah manajemen proyek yang belum sesuai dengan ekspektasi manajemen. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut XYZ harus memperbaiki proses pengembangan perangkat lunak dengan jumlah pelanggan yang semakin meningkat namun resource masih tergolong kurang memadai. Oleh karena itu untuk melakukan manajemen proyek yang lebih baik, salah satu upaya yang bisa dijalankan adalah dengan mengadopsi CMMI-Dev dengan representasi continuous pada manajemen proyek XYZ.Riset ini menelaah tentang evaluasi tingkat kapablitas proses pada proyek pengembangan perangkat lunak yang sedang dilaksanakan oleh XYZ. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan menyusun rekomendasi perbaikan proses untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses pengembangan perangkat lunak di XYZ berdasarkan kerangka kerja CMMI-Dev dengan representasi continuous. Hasil evaluasi menggunakan acuan CMMI-Dev 1.3 representasi continous dengan tools SCAMPI C memberikan informasi bahwa 1 dari 6 proses area terpilih sudah memiliki kapabilitas tingkat 1, Proses area tersebut adalah Measurement Analysis MA . Kemudian 5 proses area lainnya masih berada kapablitas tingkat 0. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi tersebut menunjukan bahwa manajemen proyek XYZ masih perlu melakukan perbaikan, maka rekomendasi yang diberikan pada penelitian adalah untuk memperbaiki pada proses area PP, PPQA, REQM, CM dan PMC.

In 2015 XYZ publishing the new directorate of project management to solve problem on XYZ. One of the biggest problem that faced by directorate of project management is project management which not passed the expectation from XYZ Management. Based on that problem, XYZ have to improve the quality of software process development with condition the number of project that always grow and low resource. So that, XYZ need to improve the project management practice, one of the solution that XYZ want to implement is adopting CMMI Dev continuous representation on XYZ Project Management.This research explains about the evaluation of capability level processes which being held on current condition by XYZ. Then, the next step will explain about how to make some improvement recommendations to improve software development process based on CMMI Dev continuous representation.The results of the evaluation using SCAMPI C tools based on CMMI Dev continuous representation is represent that only one process area from 6 the choosen process area has got a capability level 1, and the process area is Measurement Analysis MA . Then, the other process area still in capability level 0. Based on that situation, shows that XYZ project management should have some improvement especially for the 5 process area, so that the recommendation from this research should focus on the 5 process area too, there are PP, PPQA, REQM, CM and PMC."

"PT XYZ adalah salah satu perusahaan teknologi rintisan terkemuka di Indonesia yang bergerak di bidang e-commerce. Selain di bidang e-commerce, PT XYZ juga melakukan eksplorasi bisnis baru pada bidang teknologi finansial. Tim investasi dan asuransi (Investment and Insurance, IIS) adalah salah satu tim yang mengembangkan produk asuransi dan investasi pada PT XYZ. Dalam proses pengembangan perangkat lunak, IIS menggunakan kerangka kerja Scrum agar dapat beradaptasi dengan cepat sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasar. Dalam pelaksanaannya, ditemukan bahwa deliverable produk mengalami keterlambatan dan objective and key result (OKR) yang tidak terpenuhi. Data pendukung juga memaparkan bahwa rata-rata penyelesaian pada setiap sprint masih berada pada angka 44%. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa akar masalah, salah satunya adalah proses acara Scrum yang belum dilakukan sesuai dengan Scrum Guides. Untuk dapat memperbaiki permasalahan ini, penelitian melakukan evaluasi tingkat kematangan pengembangan perangkat lunak dengan Scrum Maturity Model (SMM) dan Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) C untuk melakukan penilaian terhadap praktik Scrum. Hasil dari evaluasi ini, ditemukan bahwa IIS masih berada pada level 1 melalui penilaian SMM dengan rentang level 1 hingga 5. Terdapat satu goal yang belum fully achieved, masih terdapat satu goals basic Scrum management dengan penilaian 67,86% (largely achieved) yang menyebabkan organisasi belum dapat mencapai level 2. Selanjutnya, hasil penilaian SCAMPI C digunakan sebagai acuan untuk memilih praktik SMM yang sesuai dengan pertanyaan penelitian dan menyusun usulan rekomendasi perbaikan. Hasil akhir penelitian adalah lima belas rekomendasi terkait acara Scrum. Rekomendasi disusun dan divalidasi dengan harapan untuk dapat memperbaiki dan meningkatkan kinerja proses pengembangan perangkat lunak sehingga dapat tercapai target OKR sesuai dengan harapan perusahaan

PT XYZ is one of the leading technology start-ups in Indonesia engaged in e-commerce. Apart from e-commerce, PT XYZ also explores new businesses in the field of financial technology. The investment and insurance team (Investment and Insurance, IIS) is one of the teams that develops insurance and investment products at PT XYZ. In the software development process, IIS uses the Scrum framework to quickly adapt to market needs. In its implementation, it was found that the product deliverables were delayed, and the objectives and key results (OKR) were not met. Supporting data also explains that the average completion of each sprint is still at 44%. This is influenced by several root causes, one of which is the Scrum event process that has not been carried out in accordance with the Scrum Guides. To be able to fix this problem, the research evaluates the maturity level of software development using the Scrum Maturity Model (SMM) and Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) C to assess Scrum practices. The results of this evaluation, it was found that IIS is still at level 1 through the QMS assessment with a range of levels 1 to 5. There is one goal that has not been fully achieved, there is still one basic goal of Scrum management with an assessment of 67.86% (largely achieved) which causes the organization has not been able to reach level 2. Furthermore, the results of the SCAMPI C assessment are used as a reference for selecting QMS practices that are in accordance with the research questions and formulating recommendations for improvement. The results of the study are fifteen recommendations related to Scrum events. Recommendations are compiled and validated with the hope of being able to improve and improve the performance of the software development process so that OKR targets can be achieved in accordance with company expectations."

Pada praktiknya, beberapa proyek yang dikerjakan mengalami keterlambatan. Dalam melakukan analisis permasalahan, digunakan diagram fishbone untuk melihat akar permasalahan yang dihadapi. Setelah dilakukan analisis terhadap beberapa akar permasalahan. Akar permasalahan yang akan diteliti pada penelitian ini adalah prosespengembangan perangkat lunak. Proses pengembangan perangkat lunak yang digunakan pada divisi ABC adalah metode 4D. Keterlambatan proyek terjadi karena 50% pekerjaan yang dilakukan adalah pengerjaan ulang. Pengerjaan ulang terjadi karena kualitas dari proses yang digunakan masih kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan usulan perbaikan kualitas proses pengembangan perangkat lunak yaitu metode 4D dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja CMMI-Dev dan menggunakan representasi continuous. Metode penilaian yang digunakan pada penelitian kali ini adalah SCAMPI C. Hasil pada penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi-rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses pengembangan perangkat lunak. Rekomendasi yang diberikan diambil berdasarkan best practice CMMI-Dev. Dengan meningkatkatnya kualitas proses pengembangan perangkat lunak yaitu metode 4D, permasalahan keterlambatan pengerjaan proyek bisa teratasi karena proses pengerjaan ulang yang dilakukan bisa dihilangkan.

The root of the problem to be examined is the software development process. The software development process used in the ABC division is the 4D method. method used in this study is SCAMPI C. The results of this study are recommendations to improve the quality of the software development process. Recommendations based on CMMI-Dev best practices. With the increasing quality of the software development process. Problems with the delay in

PT XYZ memiliki tiga poin Values Proposition yang salah satu poinnya adalah menyediakan perangkat lunak dengan performa dan kehandalan yang tinggi. Pada kenyataannya, berdasarkan data-data pengerjaan proyek perangkat lunak di PT XYZ ditemukan bahwa beberapa hasil pengerjaan perangkat lunak saat ini belum sesuai dengan Values Proposition yang ditawarkan. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah CMMI Dev v1.3 dengan menggunakan representasi berkelanjutan. Area Proses dipilih berdasarkan pada CMMI Project Roadmap yakni Project Planning (PP), Project Monitoring and Control (PMC), Requirements Management (REQM), Configuration Management (REQM), dan Process and Product Quality Assurance (PPQA). Penilaian dilakukan menggunakan SCAMPI C dengan bantuan PIID dan Quantitative Assesment. Kerangka penyusunan usulan perbaikan menggunakan IDEAL. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah berupa penilaian kualitas proses pengembangan perangkat lunak di PT XYZ dan usulan perbaikan bagi PT XYZ. PT XYZ is a private sector company that provide Information Technology solution by developing softwares for its partner. PT XYZ has three points of Values Proposition which one of them is to provide high performance and reliability. In fact, based on supporting data of software process development in PT XYZ, there are some software project results that is not fit to the third point of the Values Proposition.

This research uses CMMI-Dev v1.3 with continuous represetation. Process Areas are chosen based on CMMI Project Roadmap. Those process areas are Project Planning (PP), Project Monitoring and Control (PMC), Requirements Management (REQM), Configuration Management (CM), and Process and Product Quality Assurance (PPQA). This research uses SCAMPI C with PIID tools and Quantitative Assesment concept to do the appraisal. Proposal of software process improvement is designed by using IDEAL framework.

Result of this research is a measurement of quality of software development process in PT XYZ and the software process improvement proposal for PT XYZ to be implemented so the Value Proposition that is stated will be fulfilled."

PT XYZ is one of the life insurance companies in Indonesia. Information Technology Division is a division in charge of software development in PT XYZ. But based on the facts, Software development undertaken by the Information Technology Division is still many that is not finished on time. One of the causes of this delay is the software development process that has not been run properly. Software process improvement is needed to solve this problem. CMMI Dev is one of the frameworks that can be used to measure the level of capability of the software development process and can be used to improve the software development process.

In this research, improvement recommendations were made based on CMMI Dev ver. 1.3. The process area selected according to the process area on the roadmap project ie Project Planning, Project Monitoring and Control, Requirement Management, Configuration Management and Process and Product Quality Assurance. Capability level assessment is done by using SCAMPI C with PIID and Quantitative Assessment tools. The improvement recommendations are created based on IDEAL framework.

The result of this research is level of capability and recommendation of software process improvement. The improvement recommendations are based on the specific practice in CMMI Dev ver. 1.3 project roadmap so that can help the Information Technology Division complete the software development in a timely manner."

"PT. XYZ merupakan sebuah startup yang menerapkan scrum dalam pengembangan produknya. Hal ini dikarenakan sifat scrum yang cepat dalam merespon perubahan. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya, terjadi beberapa masalah sehingga tujuan awal digunakannya scrum tidak dapat dicapai. Proses identifikasi masalah menunjukkan bahwa salah satu akar permasalahan yang terjadi adalah prioritas PBI (Product Backlog Item) yang masih salah karena PBI belum secara detail didefinisikan ketika dimasukan dalam suatu sprint, akibatnya terjadi pelebaran requirements dari yang diekspektasikan diawal. Hal ini membuat persentase PBI yang selesai dalam satu sprint hanya mencapai 58.37%. Oleh karena itu pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan peningkatan proses scrum dengan menerapkan beberapa process area dalam CMMI. Penentuan process area yang akan digunakan dilakukan melalui evaluasi tingkatan proses scrum di PT. XYZ pada Scrum Maturity Model.Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan proses scrum di PT. XYZ masih berada pada level 1 karena pada level 2 intepretasi nilai yang didapatkan adalah Largely Achieved dan pada level 3 intepretasi nilai yang didapatkan adalah Partially Achieved. Praktik scrum yang paling banyak mengalami masalah adalah product backlog. Oleh karena itu, sesuai dengan akar masalah yang diangkat pada penelitian ini, penulis kemudian memberikan rekomendasi peningkatan yang utama untuk artefak product backlog dan beberapa scrum ceremonies yang dapat mendukung terciptanya product backlog yang baik. Dengan menerapkan process area CMMI REQM, RD, PP, IPM, QPM, RSKM, OPD dan PMC, didapatkan 95 rekomendasi akhir untuk meningkatkan proses scrum dalam pengembangan produk di PT. XYZ sehingga proses scrum dapat berjalan lebih baik lagi dan tujuan awal digunakannya scrum dapat tercapai.

PT. XYZ is a startup that use scrum in the development their product. This is because the nature of scrum is fast in responding to the changes. But in its implementation, several problems occured so that the initial purpose of using scrum cannot be achieved. The problem identification process shows that one of the root problems that occured is the PBI (Product Backlog Item) priority is still wrong because PBI has not been detaily defined when it included in a sprint, as a result there has been a requirements creep. This makes the percentage of PBIs completed in one sprint only reaching 58.37%. Therefore in this study an improvement in the scrum process will be carried out by applying several process areas in CMMI. The determination of the process area to be used is done through evaluating the level of the scrum process in PT. XYZ with the Scrum Maturity Model.The evaluation results show that the scrum process at PT. XYZ is still at level 1 because in level 2 the interpretation of the values obtained is Largely Achieved and on level 3 the interpretation of the values obtained is Partially Achieved. The practice of scrum that has the most has problems is product backlog. Therefore, according to the root problem raised in this study, the authors then provide the main improvement recommendations for product backlog artifacts and several scrum ceremonies that can support the creation of a good product backlog. By applying the CMMI REQM, RD, PP, HDI, QPM, RSKM, OPD and PMC process areas, 95 final recommendations were obtained to improve the scrum process in the development of PT. XYZ so that the scrum process could run better and the initial objectives of Scrum use could be achieved."

Scrum sendiri adalah suatu metodologi pengembangan perangkat lunak berbasis metodologi tangkas (agile) yang cocok untuk menjawab permasalahan yang ada. Pada penelitian ini akan diukur sejauh mana tingkat kemampuan organisasi dalam proses pengembangan perangkat lunak hanya pada area proses yang berhubungan dengan proyek atau dengan roadmap proyek yang membantu menerapkan CMMI-DEV dengan representasi kontinu (continuous). Area proses yang akan dinilai adalah Project Planning, Project Monitoring and Control, Requirement Management, Configuration Management dan Process and Product Quality Assurance. Setelah diukur maka akan didapatkan rekomendasi perbaikan untuk membantu PT. Gemawidia Solusi Komputer dalam memperbaiki proses pengembangan perangkat lunak. Setelah melakukan penilaian, didapatkan tingkat kapabilitas kelima area proses masih level 0 atau incomplete menyebabkan perlu banyak perbaikan dengan mencari akar permasalahan dengan Fishbone Diagram dan rekomendasi disusun untuk perbaikan tersebut dan setelah rekomendasi dibuat disusun pula prioritas menggunakan Pareto Chart.

Proyek perangkat lunak di PT XYZ diimplementasikan menggunakan metode agile dan kerangka kerja Scrum agar tanggap dengan kebutuhan pasar dan pelanggan. Nyatanya, proses pengembangan perangkat lunak masih mengalami keterlambatan dalam perilisan karena rendahnya tingkat ketercapaian target untuk sprint. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan narasumber dari PT XYZ, yaitu anggota tim Scrum yang terdiri dari Product Manager, Technical Lead, Senior Software Engineer, dan QA Analyst menunjukkan bahwa akar permasalahaan yang dihadapi perusahaan erat kaitannya dengan proses implementasi Scrum, terutama acara dan artefak Scrum. Permasalahan tersebut menjadi pemicu penelitian ini untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap implementasi Scrum di perusahaan. Evaluasi implementasi Scrum dilakukan dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja Scrum Maturity Model (SMM) dan metode penilaian Standard Capability Maturity Model Integration Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) kelas C. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Scrum di PT XYZ masih berada pada tingkat kematangan 1 karena terdapat sebuah goal di tingkat kematangan 2 belum fully achieved, yaitu goal basic Scrum management dengan nilai 71,43% largely achieved. Setelah melakukan penilaian, penelitian ini menghasilkan 3 rekomendasi untuk artefak Scrum, 4 rekomendasi untuk acara Scrum, 2 rekomendasi untuk komponen pendukung Scrum, dan 5 rekomendasi untuk akar permasalahan penelitian. Penelitian ini juga menyertakan langkah-langkah perubahan yang dapat dilaksanakan perusahaan untuk memperbaiki alur proses Scrum terkait acara dan artefak Scrum. Rekomendasi dan langkah-langkah perubahan diharapkan mampu untuk meningkatkan ketercapaian target sprint sehingga memungkinkan perilisan proyek perangkat lunak yang tepat waktu dan mencapai nilai bisnis yang diharapkan perusahaan

PT XYZ is a start-up company that sells natural products through its website and mobile application. The software project at PT XYZ is implemented using agile methods and the Scrum framework to respond to the market and customer needs. In fact, the software development process is still experiencing delays in release due to the low rate of achieving targets for sprints. The impact is not achieving the Objective and Key Result (OKR). Based on interviews with representatives from PT XYZ, namely members of the Scrum team consisting of Product Manager, Technical Lead, Senior Software Engineer, and QA Analyst, it shows that the root problems faced by the company are closely related to the Scrum implementation process, especially Scrum events and artifacts. These problems are the trigger for this research to evaluate the implementation of Scrum in the company. Evaluation of Scrum implementation is carried out using the Scrum Maturity Model (SMM) framework and the Standard Capability Maturity Model Integration Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) Class C assessment method. The results of the assessment show that the implementation of Scrum at PT XYZ is still at maturity level 1 because there is a goal at maturity level 2 that has not been fully achieved, namely the basic Scrum management goal with a value of 71.43% (largely achieved). After conducting the assessment, this research resulted in 3 recommendations for Scrum artifacts, 4 recommendations for Scrum events, 2 recommendations for Scrum supporting components, and 5 recommendations for the root causes of the research. This research also includes change steps that companies can implement to improve the Scrum process flow regarding Scrum events and artifacts. Recommendations and change steps are expected to be able to improve the achievement of the sprint targets to enable the timely release of software projects and achieve the expected business value of the company."

"Proyek LINE Today Application telah mendapatkan perhatian khusus dari manajemen untuk menjadi produk unggulan dan bernilai tinggi. Namun, masih terdapat keterlambatan implementasi perangkat lunak yang tidak sesuai dengan jadwal perencanaan implementasi. Hal ini menyebabkan produktivitas sumber daya dari segi waktu dan tenaga akan menurun, serta dampak bisnis akan terganggu jika proyek tidak segera rilis. Penelitian ini berfokus pada penyelesaian akar masalah pada domain proses sehingga peneliti menggunakan software process improvement (SPI) menggunakan CMMI-Dev v1.3 continuous representation dengan proses appraisal menggunakan SCAMPI-C. Dari area proses yang terpilih yaitu PP, PMC, OPD, VER dan VAL, terdapat 3 kelemahan yang ditemukan yaitu pada area proses OPD dan VER dimana tingkat capability level masih berada di level 0. Rekomendasi perbaikan proses pengembangan perangkat lunak mengacu pada model PDSA atau Deming cycle. Hasil rekomendasi yang dihasilkan adalah membuat dan menerapkan Objective and Key Result (OKR) sesuai arahan manajemen, penerapan Software Quality Management Process sesuai SWEBOK v3.0, penerapan SQA Process sesuai IEEE Standard for Software Quality Assurance Process, dan penerapan pair programming dengan konsep Expert-Novice Pairing. Rekomendasi tersebut diharapkan dapat mengatasi keterlambatan pengembangan perangkat lunak pada LINE Today Application. Selanjutnya ditentukan tingkat prioritasnya menggunakan metode Eisenhower Decision Matrix sehingga organisasi dapat mengimplementasikan rekomendasi perbaikan sesuai dengan prioritasnya.

The project of LINE Today Application has received special attention from management to become a valuable and superior product. However, there are some projects that still not delivered on time following implementation planning schedule. It causes an increase in resources in terms of time, teamwork will decrease, and affect the business will increase if the project is not released soon. This study discusses problem solving in the domain process so that researchers use improved software processes (SPI) using CMMI-Dev v1.3 continuous representations with an assessment process using SCAMPI-C. From the selected process area namely PP, PMC, OPD, VER and VAL, there are 3 weaknesses such as in the OPD and VER process area, the capability level is still at level 0. Recommendations for improving the application development process in accordance with PDSA or Deming cycle. The recommendations are to create and implement Objective and Key Result (OKR) following management direction, implementation of Software Quality Management Process following SWEBOK v3.0, implementation of SQA Process following IEEE Standards for Software Quality Assurance Process, and implementation of pair programming with Expert-Novice Pairing concept. These recommendations are expected to solve the delay in delivery of software LINE Today Application. Then it determines the level of priority using the Eisenhower Matrix Decision Matrix method. So, the company can implement following to its priorities."
