" ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini membahas penerjemahan kata sapaan orang kedua dalam percakapan langsung yang terdapat dalam novel Pulang ke dalam novel Heimkehr nach Jakarta. Padanan sapaan yang dipilih penerjemah diteliti berdasarkan relasi sosial antara penutur dan lawan tutur. Dalam penelitian ini juga akan dibahas faktor-faktor yang mendasari tindakan penerjemah dalam mempertahankan sapaan Indonesia maupun melesapkannya dalam teks sasaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif berbentuk kajian pustaka. Kajian pustaka dilakukan untuk memperoleh dasar dalam menganalisis dan membandingkan seluruh sapaan yang ditemukan dalam novel Pulang dan terjemahannya dalam novel Heimkehr nach Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan konteks sosial dan budaya yang terdapat dalam masyarakat Indonesia dan Jerman menjadi dasar pertimbangan penerjemah dalam memilih padanan sapaan, mempertahankan sapaan Indonesia maupun melesapkannya dalam teks sasaran. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa situasi komunikasi dan kaidah bahasa menjadi faktor lainnya yang memengaruhi penerjemahan sapaan.
ABSTRACT This research attempts to explain the translation of second person forms of address in direct conversations found in novel Pulang to Heimkehr nach Jakarta. The equivalents of the forms of address chosen by the translator are analyzed according to the social relation between the speaker and the listener. This research also attempts to explain the factors underlying the translator rsquo s decision to preserve Indonesian form of address or to omit it in the target text. This research applies the qualitative method in form of literature study. The literature study gives the principles for analyzing and comparing all forms of address found in the novel Pulang and their translation in the novel Heimkehr nach Jakarta. The result shows that the different social and cultural context in Indonesia and Germany underlies the translator rsquo s consideration in either choosing an equivalent in German, preserving the Indonesian form of address, or omitting it in the target text. Furthermore, the result shows that communication situation and language principles also affect the translation of the forms of address."

"Penelitian ini membahas tentang realitas sosial dalam novel Tan karya Hendri Teja. Novel Tan menceritan perjalanan Tan Malaka dalam memerdekakan bangsanya dari penjajahan Belanda. Penelitian ini membahas realita sosial berdasarkan perspektif realisme sosialis Georg Lukacs yang tertuang dalam konsep realitas objektif, gerak dialektis, refleksi artistik, dan ungkapan kritik emansipatoris. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan empat konsep realisme sosialis Georg Lukacs, sedangkan manfaat penelitian ini secara teoretis ialah memperkuat teori sastra khususnya teori realisme sosialis Georg Lukacs. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Data dari penelitian ini merupakan kutipan berupa kalimat dan paragraf. Sumber data berupa novel dan buku sehingga teknik yang digunakan ialah teknik baca catat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa aspek dalam novel Tan karya Hendri Teja yang sesuai dengan empat konsep realisme sosialis Georg Lukacs yakni, konsep realitas objektif terdapat aspek penindasan dengan sub fokus penindasan bidang ekonomi, penindasan bidang pendidikan, penindasan bidang politik, penindasan bidang agama islam, dan penindasan secara fisik, konsep gerak dialektis terdapat aspek perlawanan dan pembelaan, konsep refleksi artistik terdapat aspek siasat, dan konsep ungkapan kritis emansipatoris terdapat aspek perlawanan dengan sub fokus perlawanan bidang ekonomi, perlawanan bidang pendidikan, perlawanan bidang politik, perlawanan bidang agama islam, dan perlawanan secara fisik. Berdasarkan analisis data tersebut diperoleh 92 data realitas sosial dalam novel Tan karya Hendri Teja. Adapun rincian analisisnya diperoleh 28 data realitas objektif, 18 data gerak dialektis, 6 data refleksi artistik, dan 40 data ungkapan kritis emansipatoris. "

"Deiksis adalah istilah dalam kajian pragmatik (dalam bahasa Yunani) pada hal yang penutur dan mitra tutur lakukan melalui tuturan atau ungkapan. Deiksis artinya ‘penunjukan’ melalui sistem bahasa dan dipakai untuk menyelesaikan ‘penunjukan’ dalam ilmu linguistik yang disebut dengan ungkapan atau bentuk deiksis. Pada tulisan ini, terdapat lima deiksis yang muncul, yaitu deiksis persona, tempat, waktu, wacana, dan sosial. Deiksis persona merupakan kata ganti yang merujuk orang atau pelaku, yaitu kata ganti orang pertama, kedua, dan ketiga. Deiksis penunjuk tempat bersinggungan pada arah dan tempat. Deiksis penunjuk waktu bersinggungan dengan struktur temporal atau struktur waktu dan bersinggungan dengan penuturan jarak waktu yang dilihat dari tuturan yang dituturkan penutur. Deiksis wacana berkaitan dengan anafora dan katafora dalam tuturan. Deiksis sosial memandang unsur honorifik atau kesopanan dalam berbahasa. Rumusan masalah pada tulisan ini adalah apa saja bentuk deiksis persona, tempat, waktu, wacana, dan sosial pada novel Laut Bercerita. Tujuan tulisan ini untuk menjelaskan penggunaan dan jenis kata ganti deiksis persona, tempat, waktu, wacana, dan sosial pada novel Laut Bercerita. Metode kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik sumber pustaka. Tahapan penelitian dalam pengumpulan data adalah mencatat data yang mengandung deiksis melalui observasi atau pencarian langsung dari novel Laut Bercerita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan deiksis dalam novel Laut Bercerita digunakan dengan lengkap dan efektif karena penempatannya yang sesuai konteks wacana untuk menunjang penggambaran tokoh, latar, alur, dan tema dalam novel.

Deixis is a term in pragmatic studies (in Greek language) on what speakers and speech partners do through speech or expressions. Deixis means 'designation' through the language system and is used to complete the 'designation' in linguistics which is called the expression or form of deixis. In this paper, there are five deixis that appear, namely person, place, time, discourse, and social deixis. Personal deixis is a pronoun that refers to a person or actor, namely the first, second, and third person pronouns. Deixis indicates the place tangent to the direction and place. Time indication deixis intersects with the temporal structure or time structure and intersects with the narration of the time distance seen from the speech spoken by the speaker. Discourse deixis is related to anaphora and cataphora in speech. Social deixis views honorific elements or politeness in language. The formulation of the problem in this paper is what are the forms of persona, place, time, discourse, and social deixis in the novel The Sea Speaks His Name. The purpose of this paper is to explain the use and types of personal deixis pronouns, place, time, discourse, and social in the novel The Sea Speaks His Name. Qualitative methods are used in this study. Data collection is done by using library resources techniques. The research stage in data collection is to record data containing deixis through direct observation or searching from the novel The Sea Speaks His Name. The results of the study indicate that the use of deixis in the novel The Sea Speaks His Name is used completely and effectively because of its placement in the context of the discourse to support the depiction of characters, settings, plots, and theme in the novel."

Penelitian ini menganalisis teori arketipe shadow Carl Jung terhadap karakter yang terdapat di dalam novel To Kill A Mockingbird karya Harper Lee. Arketipe shadow atau shadow merupakan arketipe kegelapan yang merepresentasikan kualitas yang ditolak keberadaanya di dalam diri manusia. Akibatnya, manusia cenderung memproyeksikan shadow (kualitas yang dianggap buruk) mereka terhadap orang lain. Dengan menggunakan teori arketipe shadow, jurnal ini bertujuan untuk menemukan karakter mana yang berperan sebagai shadow bagi karakter lainnya beserta aspek yang dibawa oleh karakter yang berperan sebagai shadow tersebut. Metode yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif di mana penulis menggunakan kutipan dari buku untuk melakukan analisis. Penulis menemukan bahwa terdapat tiga karakter yang berperan sebagai shadow bagi karakter lainnya. Ketiga karakter tersebut ialah Boo Radley yang merepresentasikan shadow dari ketakutan akan perbedaan; Tom Robinson, dan Calpurnia, yang merepresentasikan shadow dari rasisme.

ABSTRACT
This research looks at the analysis of Carl Jung‟s shadow archetype on characters in Harper Lee‟s To Kill A Mockingbird. Shadow archetype or the shadow is the archetype of „darkness‟ representing repressed qualities that individuals do not want to face within themselves. As a result, individuals tend to project their shadows (poorness of qualities they have repressed) on others. Using the concept of shadow archetype, this journal aims at figuring out which characters play a role as the shadows for other characters and what aspects are represented by the shadow characters. The method used in this research is qualitative method in which the author uses quotes from the book to do the analysis. The author analyzes there are three characters who become the shadows for other characters. "[Ulat Sutra Musim Semi adalah cerita pendek karya penulis sastra modern Cina, yaitu Mao Dun. Ulat Sutra Musim Semi mengisahkan kehidupan para petani ulat sutra di sebuah desa di Shanghai, Cina. Desa ini dilanda kemiskinan akibat masuknya ulat sutra impor yang lebih populer di pasar dibandingkan dengan ulat sutra lokal. Bangsa asing menjadi penghancur bisnis turun temurun di desa itu, membuat masyarakat di sana jatuh miskin. Dalam cerita pendek ini Mao Dun seringkali menggunakan kata洋 (yáng) sebagai diksi yang berhubungan dengan hal-hal berbau asing. Jurnal ini akan meneliti makna yang terkandung dalam kata 洋 dan pengaruhnya dalam cerita.

"Penelitian ini membahas urutan kata bahasa Arab dalam media koran Al-Ahram, Mesir periode Nopember 2012. Urutan kata adalah bagian dari kajian sintaksis dan berperan sebagai ciri khas suatu bahasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Shinny yang mengklasifikasikan urutan kata menjadi jumla ismiyya dan jumla fi’liyya dan Holes dengan klasifikasi VSKOMP, SVKOMP, KOMPVS, dan VKOMPS. Teori-teori ini digunakan agar analisis pada korpus data menjadi lebih rinci.
Penelitian ini juga memberikan analisis singkat mengenai kesesuaian subjek-predikat berkaitan dengan urutan kata. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran pemakaian urutan kata yang produktif dengan pembuktian pada korpus data. Berdasarkan penghitungan pada korpus data yang berupa 100 kalimat, jumla fi’liyya muncul pada 80 kalimat sedangkan jumla ?ismiyya muncul pada 20 kalimat.

This research analyses Arabic word order in the Al-Ahram Newspaper, Egypt in November 2012. Word order is a part of syntactic research and also characteristic of a language. This research uses Shinny’s theory and Holes’ theory about classification of Arabic word order. Shinny’s theory divide the sentence into jumla ?ismiyya and jumla fi’liyya while Holes’ theory divide the sentence into VSKOMP, SVKOMP, VKOMPS, and KOMPVS sentence.
This research also gives a brief analysis about subject-predicate agreement related to the word order. The research gives a description about the productivity of the word order with evidences in the corpus. Based on statistic count from the 100 sentences of corpus, 80 sentences is jumla fi’liyya and 20 sentences is jumla ?ismiyya.

"This research analyses utterances produced by English speakers who interact via computers in chat rooms, chat.yahoo.com. This study is aimed at investigating how the participants interact and develop topics under computer-mediated constraints.
The data consist of corpus containing sequenced-postings produced by multi-participants in Lobby, part of the chat room regarded as a public domain. Conversation Analysis Model introduced by Birmingham School was used for data analysis.
The findings of the study show that the chat has some unique features, which are different from the features of interaction in face-to-face conversation. Those unique features decrease the coherence of the interaction. The linearity of the sequence is disrupted by the presence of initiation without responses and the presence of multi-responses for one initiation. Then, the unity of the interaction is loosened by the absence of organizational exchanges or the presence of less discourse markers tying up explicitly the interaction units in each rank of the interaction. After that, the immediacy relationship between elements of adjacency pairs is loosened by the presence of other utterances between them. Finally, the structure of the utterance is loosened by the fragmentation of the utterance into smaller units and the positioning of those units in the different postings.
The chat has several unique features of interaction strategies that may decrease the coherence of the interaction and differ them from those in face-to-face interaction. First, the one person speak in one time rule is not applicable in the chat since who is currently speaking cannot be identified. Second, the competitive nature of the interaction requires an adjustment of the strategy for managing the turn. It is not necessary for the chatters to hold the turn; instead they have to send repetitive postings to maintain their presence. Finally, turn-taking strategies are very limited in the chat interaction. The strategy for taking the turn is limited to clean strategy and the strategy for yielding the turn is limited to the use of selection (turn design) and give-up strategies.
The topic introduction and closing in the chat is not so different from those in the face-to-face interaction. The topic development displays unique structure, in that the chat may produce parallel topics. The parallel topic is resulted by the introduction of a new sub-topic while the discussion of the existing topic still in progress. Another specification of topic development is the rapid progress of the topic change in the chat.
The uniqueness of the interaction and topic development in the chat is attributable to the lack of physical presence and voice as well as to the machine related constraints.
