"As one of the biggest medicines market in the South East Asia, the pharmaceutical industry inIndonesia has a huge potential market. However, the majority supply of raw materials has been imported.Besides, regulations of the Health Ministry and the Trade Ministry have still hampered mostplayers in Indonesia pharmaceutical industry. Therefore, this study used Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) models to analyze efficiency and productivity change in the Indonesian pharmaceutical industrybetween 2006 and 2011, listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange and also supported by applyingefficiency financial ratio. This study finds that the decision for the most relatively efficient companyis different using DEA compared to efficiency financial ratios, yet DEA has better measurement ofefficiency. It is proven by one of State-owned Enterprises has been evaluated underperformed by thefinancial ratio analysis, unexpectedly is efficient using the DEA approach. This study has also proposedand tested a hypothesis on the average efficiency to check if the domestic and foreign pharmaceuticalcompanies differ in their efficiency but the result implies that there is no significant statisticaldifference among them. This study indicates that firms having dominant contribution in selling overthe-counter medicines are more efficient than selling ethical medicines. Lastly, technological changecontribution has more influence to productivity change instead of pure technical efficiency change inIndonesia pharmaceutical companies."

"ABSTRAKTulisan ini menganilis efisiensi dan perubahan produktivitas dari hotel-hotel berbintang di Bali selama tahun 2004-2010 dengan menggunakan metode data envelopment analysis (DEA) dan Malmquist Total factor Productivity. Pendekatan dua-tahap (two-stage) juga digunakan untuk melihat apakah ada pengaruh external (environmental variables) terhadap efisiensi hotel. Hasil dari studi ini mendapatkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan terhadap efisiensi dari hotel berbintang di Bali, yaitu dari 64% pada tahun 2004 menjadi 75% pada tahun 2010. Efisiensi ini utamanya digerakkan oleh pure technical efficiency dari pada skala efisiensi. Juga didapatkan bahwa perubahan total factor produktivitas hotel berbintang di Bali sebesar 7.9% per tahun, yang disebabkan oleh naiknya jumlah kunjungan wisatawan yang cukup tajam beberapa tahun setelah dua kali serangan bom oleh teroris di Pulau Bali.

ABSTRACTThis paper analyzes efficiency and productivity change of Balinese star-rated hotels during 2004-2010, by employing data envelopment analysis (DEA) and a Malmquist total factor productivity index. A two-stage approach is also employed to see whether environmental variables influenced hotel efficiency. It is found that Balinese hotels technical efficiency level has increased from 64% in 2004 to 75% in 2010. The hotels technical efficiency was driven mainly by pure technical efficiency rather than scale efficiency. It is also found that total productivity change amounted to 7.9% annually, which was mainly due to the numbers of tourist nights increasingly sharply a couple of years after the detrimental effects of the two terrorist bomb attacks on the island of Bali."

"Tujuan penelitian ini ingin mengetahui pengaruh pengalaman kekerasan pada masa kecil perempuan maupun pasangan terhadap terjadinya kekerasan oleh pasangan terhadap perempuan. Penelitian menggunakan data SPHPN 2016 dengan metode analisis regresi logistik biner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peluang lebih tinggi untuk mengalami kekerasan oleh pasangan berasosiasi dengan pengalaman kekerasan masa kecil perempuan maupun pasangan. Pasangan yang minum minuman keras dan berkelahi dengan lelaki lain, terjadinya pertengkaran, serta kemandirian ekonomi perempuan berpengaruh positif terhadap kejadian kekerasan oleh pasangan. Adanya dukungan keluarga mengurangi risiko terpapar kekerasan oleh pasangan. Perbedaan usia antara perempuan dengan pasangan tidak signifikan berpengaruh pada kejadian kekerasan.

The objective of this study was to determine the associations of intimate partner violence (IPV) with childhood violence experience. This study used SPHPN 2016 data with the method of analysis binary logistic regression. The results indicate childhood violence experience was significantly associated with all types of IPV. Women with a partner who drinks alcohol, fight with other men, quarrelling between women and partners, and women who have economic independence were more likely to experience IPV. Women with family support were less likely to experience IPV. Meanwhile, the age differences between women and partners did not significantly influence IPV."
