"Should psychology training programs take steps to incorporate content related to spiritual and religious diversity in their curriculum? This article provides a critical discussion of research demonstrating minimal integration of spiritual and religious issues in psychology training, supervision, and course work. Unique aspects of training related to spiritual diversity and interventions across various subdisciplines in psychology are highlighted. Suggestions for integrating spiritual and religious diversity into psychology training are presented. For the benefit of students, clients, and their communities, psychologists are encouraged to obtain specialized training to enhance their spiritual and religious competency."

"What is a professional psychologist to do when a client brings up the concept of sin? To some, sin may seem like a stifling religious relic that has no place in contemporary psychology. But viewing sin from within the Christian faith, and in tandem with the doctrine of grace, can help psychologists understand why sin is such an important concept for many of their Christian clients. Psychologists' misunderstanding of sin and grace may contribute to relatively low rates of referral from Christian leaders to clinical psychologists, and may sometimes hinder therapeutic progress. Two methods of data collection, involving a total of 171 respondents, were used to discern what Christian leaders wish psychologists understood regarding the doctrine of sin. Respondents emphasized the nature and consequences of sin, grace, and the importance of psychologists understanding sin and grace. Implications for professional psychologists are offered."

"Pendahuluan : Gangguan jiwa merupakan kondisi yang dapat didiagnosis secara klinis yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan pada proses berpikir dan perilaku seseorang. Risiko perilaku kekerasan muncul karena adanya respon terhadap sesuatu yang dapat menyebabkan individu berbuat sesuatu pada diri sendiri, orang lain, dan lingkungan yang dapat mencederai orang lain secara verbal, fisik, dan psikologis. Tindakan keperawatan jiwa spesialis yang dapat diberikan untuk klien risiko perilaku kekerasan diantaranya adalah assertiveness Training dan terapi suportif Tujuan : Memberikan gambaran hasil penerapan assertiveness training dan terapi suportif pada klien risiko perilaku kekerasan menggunakan pendekatan teori pencapaian tujuan Imogen M. King. Hasil : Terdapat penurunan tanda gejala risiko perilaku kekerasandan peningkatan kemampuan klien risiko perilaku kekerasan setelah diberikan assertiveness training dan terapi suportif. Kesimpulan : assertiveness training dan terapi suportif dengan pendekatan teori pencapaian tujuan Imogen M. King. direkomendasikan untuk diberikan pada klien dengan risiko perilaku kekerasan yang menjalani perawatan di rumah sakit jiwa.

Introduction: Mental health is an integral component of health and well-being that Introduction: Mental disorders are conditions that can be diagnosed clinically that have a significant influence on a person's thought processes and behavior. The risk of violent behavior arises because of a response to something that can cause an individual to do something to themselves, others and the environment that can injure others verbally, physically and psychologically. Specialist psychiatric nursing actions that can be given to clients at risk of violent behavior include assertiveness training and supportive therapy. Objective: To provide an overview of the results of applying assertiveness training and supportive therapy to clients at risk of violent behavior using Imogen M. King's goal achievement theory approach. Results: There was a decrease in signs of risk of violent behavior and an increase in the ability of clients at risk of violent behavior after being given assertiveness training and supportive therapy. Conclusion: assertiveness training and supportive therapy using Imogen M. King's goal achievement theory approach. recommended to be given to clients at risk of violent behavior who are undergoing treatment in mental hospitals."

"Karakteristik pekerjaan pengelolaan tata naskah (takah) pada subdirektorat Penyiapan Data dan Pengelolaan Arsip Kepegawaian (subdit PD & PAK) di Instansi X merupakan pekerjaan yang sederhana, rutin, monoton, tidak membutuhkan kemampuan dan ketrampilan yang tinggi. Karaktersitik demikian menyebabkan pegawai pada subdit lersebut cenderung memiliki molivasi kerja yang rendah dan ketidakpuasan dalam bekerja, kualitas kerjanya menjadi menurun dan sering terjadi kemangkiran dalam bekerja.
Karakteristik Inti Pekerjaan (Job Core Characteristics) yang dikembangkan oleh Hackman & Oldham (1980) yang seharusnya ada di dalam suatu desain pekerjaan adalah (1) variasi ketrampilan; (2) identitas tugas; (3) signifikansi tugas; (4) otonomi; (5) umpan balik. Dimensi karakeristik inti ini harus disadari oleh para pegawai sehingga akan memberikan makna, rasa tanggungjawab, pengetahuan akan hasil suatu pekerjaan, yang diasosiasikan dengan hasil pribadi dan kerja Dapat disirnpulkan bahwa apabila suatu pekerjaan memiliki dimensi karakteristik inti pekerjaan maka pegawai akan merapakan bahwa pekerjaannya adalah sesuatu yang penuh arti, berharga dan berguna. Selain itu, pegawai yang memiliki Kebutuhan yang kuat dalam Pertumbuhan (Growth Need Strength) akan bereaksi lebih positif terhadap pekerjaan yang memiliki karakteristik kerja yang tinggi daripada pegawai yang rendah dalam Growth Need Strength.
Salah satu alternatif yang diusulkan untuk memberikan kesadaran kepada pegawai akan karakteristik pekerjaannya adalah adalah dengan melakukan pelatihan, yang berjudul Improving Motivational Training. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk membangkitkan kebermaknaan (meaningfulness) akan pekerjaannya, tanggungjawab (responsibility) dan pengetahuan terhadap hasil kerjanya (knowledge of the result)
dari seorang pegawai dengan menyentuh aspek-aspek attitude, spiritual dan emosional seorang pegawai.
Pelatihan diadakan selama 4 had dimulai dari jam 08.30 - 16.00 dengan jumlah sesi sebanyak 10 sesi dan 22 pokok bahasan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, sharing, latihan, diskusi, studi kasus, role play, games, dan refleksi. Desain pelatihan dilakukan dengan memperhatikan prinsip belajar pada orang dewasa."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan penelitian korelasional dan intervensi. Dua studi, studi korelasi dan studi intervensi, dilakukan untuk meneliti interaksi spiritualitas di tempat kerja dan spiritualitas individual dalam memprediksi kepuasan kerja, dan mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan “BeYOUnd”. Karyawan operasional PT XYZ sejumlah 154 orang berpartisipasi pada studi pertama; dan hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif dan signifikan antar variabel p< .01). Hasil analisis PROCESS Hayes menunjukkan bahwa spiritualitas individual berperan sebagai moderator pada hubungan antara spiritualitas di tempat kerja dan kepuasan kerja F p <0,05, R 2=7%. Pelatihan “BeYOUnd”, sebagai studi intervensi, dilakukan pada 14 karyawan yang mendapatkan skor spiritualitas di tempat kerja rendah pada studi pertama. Hasil evaluasi tingkat 1 menunjukkan reaksi positif peserta terlihat dari tidak ada penilaian di bawah rata- rata pengukuran (M = 4,98 – 5,64). Evaluasi tingkat 2 menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara skor pengetahuan partisipan sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan “BeYOUnd” (Z = -2.22, p. Hasil evaluasi tingkat 3 menunjukkan bahwa partisipan mendapatkan nilai baik (3) dan sangat baik (4) pada indikator perilaku yang menunjukkan spiritualitas di tempat kerja. Berdasarkan tiga tingkat evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan “BeYOUnd” secara umum memiliki hasil yang baik berdasarkan evaluasi reaksi, pengetahuan, dan tingkah laku. Kedua studi yang dilakukan berhasil menjawab seluruh pertanyaan penelitian yang diajukan oleh peneliti.

There were two studies in this research, correlation study and intervention study. The purpose of the correlation study was to examine the relationship of individual spirituality as moderator on the relationship between workplace spirituality and job satisfaction. Intervention study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the 'BeYOUnd' training to improve workplace spirituality. One hundred and fifty four employees participated in the first study and showed the result that there was a significant positive correlation between variables (p <.01). The results of Hayes' PROCESS analysis showed that individual spirituality moderated the relationship between workplace spirituality and job satisfaction F (3, 150) = 3.75, p <0.05, R 2 = 7%. Then, 14 employees who had low workplace spirituality scores in the first study participated in 'BeYOUnd' Training. The results of the level 1 evaluation indicated the positive reaction of participants as seen that no response below the average measurement (M = 4.98 - 5.64). Level 2 evaluation showed significant differences between participants' knowledge scores before and after the 'BeYOUnd' training (Z = -2.22, p = 0.029). The results of level 3 evaluation indicated that participants received good (3) and very good (4) scores on behavioral indicators of workplace spirituality. The results of the three evaluation levels showed that the 'BeYOUND' training, in general, had good results based on evaluating partcipants’ reactions, knowledge, and behavior. Both studies were able to answer research questions proposed by researcher."
