"Improving educational quality is a continous procceses done by teachers. One of the strategy to improve the quality is to improve substance or content delivery. This study attempt to elaborate the effect of using overhead projector (OHP) media in lecturing method for Civic and Bahasa Indonesia for high school students. Experiment approach was used to answer research questions. Factorial design was selected to reveal the research outcomes. The result showed that there was significant impact of using OHP to support learning process on Civic and Bahasa Indonesia."

"Penelitian mengenai peranan bahan pandang dengar khususnya overhead projector/transparansi sebagai media komunikasi dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar telah dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Laboratorium IKIP Jakarta dan Jakarta International School dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran sejauh mana bahan pandang dengar khususnya OHP/transparansi digunakan di kedua sekolah tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara observasi langsung, wawancara, serta pendekatan dengan pimpinan dan petugas bahan pandang dengar, guru dan murid meliputi pengadaan koleksi, jenis koleksi, pencatatan/pengkatalogan, penyimpanan, pemeliharaan, peminjaman dan pemanfaatannya dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Pemakaian media pandang dengar dalam pendidikan memperbesar efisiensi dan efektifitas belajar serta menyegarkan suasana kelas. OHP paling banyak digunakan karena cocok untuk hampir semua mata pelajaran, mudah penanganannya dan tidak mahal. Agar tidak ketinggalan dalam ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, maka: 1. Perpustakaan sekolah perlu mengembangkan perpustakaannya menjadi pusat media (MEDIA CENTRE). 2. Pemerintah melalui Pusat Pembinaan Perpustakaan perlu meningkatkan usahanya dengan pengadaan media pandang dengar dan menambah anggaran rutin untuk pengembangan perpustakaan sekolah."
