"With an increasing number employees working remotely, it is more difficult than ever to ensure that team members are working smoothly and productively together. "A Manager's Guide to Virtual Teams" is a practical roadmap for bridging the logistical, cultural, and communication gaps that can prevent any virtual team from reaching its full potential. The book explores the four most critical elements to team success: Trust and Accountability - ten tips for creating trust within and across virtual teams; Communication - the particular challenges of the virtual world, especially in cross-cultural collaborations; Conflict Management - examples, case scenarios, and resolution strategies; and, Deliverables - how virtual teams can get their work 'out the door' faster and better. "A Manager's Guide to Virtual Teams" features the author's proprietary Trust Wheel model, which includes powerful tools to help teams develop and ensure trust without face-to-face interaction. Filled with self-study exercises, activities, and advice based on the author's 20 years' consulting experience, this book can help any organization realize the promise of professionals working closely together even if they've never met."

"ABSTRAK
The paper presents two kinds of cooperating teams traditional and virtual, and proposes a new measure of the team virtuality level. Some representative teamwork characteristics, such as team member competencies, team diversity, leadership, and team decision making are analyzed and compared depending on the degree of virtuality. Moreover, the team climate as one of the team performance measures is also analyzed and compared in virtual and traditional teamwork conditions. The considerations show that the virtuality level is crucial for virtual and face-to-face team comparison, virtual and hybrid team analysis and answering the question how to improve online collaboration processes and performance. In many ways, several international companies have embraced virtual teams in the past decades. There are numbers of differences in managing virtual teams, in comparison to traditional teams. For example, virtual teams do not experience the work environment in the physical office. The geographical expansion of facilities and people brings enormous diversity, cultural and otherwise, such as different perspective, goals, means of doing projects, language, management style, natural resources and its supply chain, channels in effective business practice, attitudes, and also political perspective in host countries (Mankin & Cohen, 2004)."
