Tujuan dilaksanakannya praktek kerja profesi ini adalah agar calon apoteker mampu memahami peranan, tugas dan tanggung jawab apoteker dalam praktek pelayanan kefarmasian di rumah sakit meliputi pengelolaan sediaan farmasi, alat kesehatan dan bahan medis habis pakai serta pelayanan farmasi klinis. Rumah Sakit TNI AL Dr. Mintohardjo telah melakukan pengelolaan sediaan farmasi, alat kesehatan dan bahan medis habis pakai sesuai dengan ketentuan perundangan dan etika farmasi yang berlaku yaitu berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor 58 Tahun 2014 tentang Standar Pelayanan Kefarmasian di Rumah Sakit, sedangkan pelayanan farmasi klinis yang belum dilakukan adalah visite, evaluasi penggunaan obat EPO , dan pemantauan kadar obat dalam darah PKOD .
