"The book concerns the notion of association in probability and statistics. Association and some other positive dependence notions were introduced in 1966 and 1967 but received little attention from the probabilistic and statistics community. The interest in these dependence notions increased in the last 15 to 20 years, and many asymptotic results were proved and improved.
The goal of this book is to bring together the bulk of these results, presenting the theory in a unified way, explaining relations and implications of the results. It will present basic definitions and characterizations, followed by a collection of relevant inequalities. These are then applied to characterize almost sure and weak convergence of sequences of associated variables. It will also cover applications of positive dependence to the characterization of asymptotic results in nonparametric statistics. "

Mahasiswa diharapkan mampu menjadi sumber daya manusia berkualitas dalam bidang pendidikan. Demi terwujudnya harapan tersebut, mahasiswa dituntut untuk berpartisipasi dalam berbagai kegiatan akademis maupun non-akademis. Dalam hal ini banyak mahasiswa merasa stres. Stres akademik yang dialami juga bervariasi, mulai dari stres akademik rendah, sedang, maupun tinggi. Dalam upaya menurunkan stres akademik pada mahasiswa, perlu diketahui variabel-variabel yang signifikan menjelaskan stres akademik pada mahasiswa. Terdapat variabel-variabel demografi,  internal maupun eksternal seperti gender, self-efficacy, hardiness, prokrastinasi akademik, kecemasan terhadap Covid-19, dukungan sosial teman sebaya, dan dukungan sosial orangtua yang diduga dapat menjelaskan stres akademik pada mahasiswa. Selain itu akan dilihat pola hubungan antara stres akademik dan variabel-variabel yang signifikan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada masa Covid-19 sehingga terdapat variabel seperti kecemasan terhadap Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode regresi linear berganda dan analisis korespondensi berganda.  Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa S1 FMIPA Universitas Indonesia dengan jumlah 610 mahasiswa. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik quota sampling. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa variabel-variabel yang signifikan menjelaskan stres akademik adalah gender, self-efficacy, prokrastinasi akademik, kecemasan terhadap Covid-19, dan dukungan sosial orangtua. Penelitian ini juga menujukkan bahwa mahasiswa dengan stres akademik tinggi diketahui memiliki kebiasaan menunda waktu pengerjaan tugas akademik yang tinggi, tingkat kecemasan terhadap Covid-19 yang tinggi , dan tingkat kepercayaan diri (self-efficacy) yang rendah. Selain itu mahasiswa yang memiliki stres akademik rendah memiliki kebiasaan menunda waktu pengerjaan tugas akademik yang rendah, tingkat kecemasan terhadap Covid-19 yang rendah, tingkat kepercayaan diri (self-efficacy) yang tinggi, dukungan sosial orangtua yang tinggi, dan cenderung dialami oleh gender laki-laki.


Students are expected to be able to become quality human resources in the field of education. In order to realize these hopes, students are required to participate in various academic and non-academic activities. In this case, many students feel stressed. The academic stress experienced also varies, ranging from low, medium, or high academic stress. In an effort to reduce academic stress in students, it is necessary to know the variables that significantly explain academic stress in students. There are demographic variables, internal and external such as gender, self-efficacy, hardiness, academic procrastination, anxiety about Covid-19, peer social support, and parental social support which are thought to explain academic stress in students. Apart from that, we will see the pattern of relationship between academic stress and significant variables. This research was conducted during the Covid-19 era so there were variables such as anxiety about Covid-19. The method used in this research is the multiple linear regression method and multiple correspondence analysis. The sample in this research was undergraduate students from the FMIPA University of Indonesia with a total of 610 students. Samples were taken using quota sampling technique. The research results show that the variables that significantly explain academic stress are gender, self-efficacy, academic procrastination, anxiety about Covid-19, and parental social support. This research also shows that students with high academic stress are known to have a habit of delaying work on academic assignments, high levels of anxiety about Covid-19, and low levels of self-confidence. In addition, students who have low levels of academic stress have a habit of delaying the time for doing academic assignments, low levels of anxiety about Covid-19, high levels of self-efficacy, high parental social support, and tend to be experienced by gender man.

"Distribusi Beta-Pareto merupakan distribusi kontinu yang dapat memodelkan data yang unimodal dan heavy-tailed. Distribusi Beta-Pareto merupakan hasil pengkombinasian antara distribusi Pareto dan distribusi Beta menggunakan distribusi Beta-Generated. Pada tugas akhir ini akan dibahas mengenai pembentukan distribusi Beta-Pareto, fungsi kepadatan probabilitas, dan karakteristik-karakteristik distribusi Beta-Pareto lainnya. Penaksiran parameter dari distribusi Beta-Pareto menggunakan metode maksimum likelihood. Sebagai ilustrasi, akan digunakan data debit aliran air sungai Sunter selama setahun pada tahun 1995 yang akan dimodelkan dengan distribusi Beta-Pareto.

Beta-Pareto distribution is a continuous distribution which can model unimodal and heavy-tailed data. Beta-Pareto distribution is derived from Pareto distribution and Beta distribution using the Beta-Generated distribution. It will be explained how to construct the Beta-Pareto distribution, probability density function, and other characteristics of Beta-Pareto distribution. Maximum likelihood method is used for estimating Beta-Pareto?s parameters. Discharge rates of the Sunter River in 1995 are used to illustrate the applicability of Beta-Pareto distribution."
