"This article the analysis of put on comics by Kho Wan Gie, a comic writer, and it aims to showing the illustration of Chinese descendents living in Jakarta in the 1950s and 1960s throught the character of put on. In this research, the paper implemented the discourse analysis approach and historical perpspectives to analysis the comics content. The data of the research were taken from put on comics series in the newspapers, magazines, and books that contained put one strips comic. The research result shows that the put on comics consist of various acculturations aspects of the Chinese community in Jakarta and it illustrates the growth and development of Jakarta as the capital city of Indonesia from the pre and post Indonesia's independence. In this context, Kha Wan Gie can be regrated as a profile comic artist since capable of displaying a caricature figures such as put on for nearly 40 years in a raw (1930-1942) and 1946-1965). The serial number showed that put on character, as a figure of populer entertainers, can be accepted by various groups, including outside Chinese ethics. In Put on comic, Kho Wan Gie has not only raised and reminded the context of the historical development of city of Jakarta, but it has also raised and reminded about the existence of a tradition carried out by the Chinese-Betawi community which until nows is still continue."

"ABSTRAKYakuwarigo memiliki pengertian singkat yaitu jenis bahasa yang diambil darikarya fiksi, yang diasosiasikan dengan tipikal karakter tertentu pada karya fiksitersebut. Penggunaan Yakuwarigo atau bahasa peran saat ini banyak ditemukanpada komik-komik berbahasa Jepang. Yakuwarigo tidak sama dengan bahasayang digunakan pada percakapan sehari-hari di Jepang, karena Yakuwarigoadalah buatan dan hanya digunakan pada karya fiksi dan jarang digunakan padapercakapan sehari-hari. Tujuan dari penulisan tesis ini yaitu penulis inginmembuktikan penggunaan Yakuwarigo khususnya jenis Roujingo dan Hakasego,hanya terdapat pada karya fiksi dan jarang digunakan pada percakapan seharihari.Selain itu penulis ingin mengimbau pemelajar bahasa Jepang supaya tidakmenelan mentah-mentah bahasa yang digunakan dalam karya fiksi khususnyakomik, karena pada kenyataannya, bahasa yang digunakan di dalam komik,berbeda dengan bahasa yang digunakan pada percakapan sehari-hari. ABSTRACTYakuwarigo have a brief understanding of the type of language that is taken froma fictional litterature, which is typically associated with a particular character inthe fictional litterature. The use of Yakuwarigo or Role Language, commonlyfound in Japanese comics. Yakuwarigo is not the same as standard Japaneselanguage that use in everyday conversation, because Yakuwarigo is artificial andits only used in fictional litterature. The purpose of this thesis that the authorwants to prove the use of Yakuwarigo, especially Roujingo and Hakasego areonly found in fictional literature and rarely used in Japanese everydayconversation. Moreover, the author would like to warn Japanese languagelearners not to easily believe and use in everyday conversation the language thatcontained in fictional literature especially in comics. Because in facts, thelanguage that used in comics is not all used in everyday conversation. Thisresearch is a descriptive analytical study using literature methods and qualitativeand quantitative data."

"Jilbab dalam perkembangannya ternyata tidak hanya dimaknai sebagai simbol kepatuhan umat Muslim terhadap tuntunan agama. Jilbab juga dimaknai secara berbeda, yaitu sebagai simbol fashion, khususnya oleh anggota komunitas Hijabers di Jakarta. "Jurnal ini membahas mengenai akulturasi upacara kematian masyarakat Cina Benteng di Tangerang, Banten. Masyarakat Cina Benteng adalah orang-orang keturunan Tionghoa yang tinggal di wilayah Tangerang, Banten. Nama Cina Benteng berasal dari kata ldquo;Benteng rdquo;, nama lama kota Tangerang. Kata ldquo;Benteng rdquo; dalam istilah Cina Benteng mengacu pada Benteng Makassar, yang terletak disisi timur sungai Cisadane. Tujuan dari penilitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan secara lengkap bagaimana ritual upacara kematian masyarakat tradisional Tionghoa dan menjelaskan bagaimana ritual upacara kematian masyarakat Cina Benteng yang telah mengalami akulturasi dengan budaya masyarakat setempat di Tangerang, Banten. Selain itu, juga untuk menunjukan bagaimana upacara kematian menjadi salah satu titik temu antara dua budaya yang berbeda dan melihat sejauh mana budaya tradisional masih mempengaruhi budaya yang sudah terakulturasi melalui upacara kematian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa upacara kematian masyarakat Cina Benteng telah terakulturasi dengan budaya upacara kematian masyarakat Non- Cina Benteng di sekitarnya. Oleh karena itu, dalam upacara kematian Cina Benteng terdapat beberapa bagian yang berbeda dari upacara kematian masyarakat tradisional Tionghoa. Upacara kematian masyarakat Cina Benteng lebih sederhana dalam pelaksanaannya. Selain itu, akulturasi kematian masyarakat Cina Benteng terjadi karena adanya pergeseran zaman dan pergeseran budaya.

This journal talks about the acculturation of the death ceremony of Chinese Benteng community in Tangerang, Banten. Chinese Benteng are people of Chinese descentdant who live in Tangerang, Banten. The name of Chinese Benteng comes from the word ldquo;Benteng rdquo; means ldquo;Fort rdquo; , which is the old name of city of Tangerang. The word Benteng in the term of Chinese Benteng refers to Benteng of Makassar Makassar Fort , which lies on the east side of the Cisadane river.

The purpose of this research is to fully describe the death ceremony ritual of the Chinese Traditional community and the death ceremony ritual of Chinese Benteng people that has been acculturated with the culture of the local community in Tangerang, Banten. In addition, it shows how the death ceremony became the point of intersections between two different cultures and to what extent the traditional cultures still affect the culture that has been acculturated through the death ceremony. The method used in this research is qualitative method.

The result of this research shows that the death ceremony of Chinese Benteng community has been acculturated with the death ceremony of Non-Chinese Benteng community in Tangerang. Therefore, the death ceremony of Chinese Benteng is different in some parts from the death ceremony of traditional Chinese community. The death ceremony of the Chinese Benteng community is more simple in its implementation. In addition, the acculturation of death ceremony of Chinese Benteng community also occurred due to the changing of time and culture."
