"Dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas matematika dasar pengajaran dan pembelajaran, berbagai upaya telah dilakukan oleh peneliti. Jika tidak, sulit untuk menerapkan hasil penelitian di sekolah pengaturan untuk meningkatkan hasil pengajaran. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk mengeksplorasi pelaksanaan lesson study dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di beberapa SD di seluruh sekolah swasta dan negeri Bandung. Studi ini menemukan bahwa lesson study menjadi salah satu cara yang paling efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas matematika dasar pengajaran dan pembelajaran melalui program pengembangan profesi guru."

"This experimental study was conducted to investigate students' mathematical communication and problem solving abilities by using problem based learning (PBL). The subjects of this study were 67 student teachers from a State University in Bandung. Instruments of this study were a mathematical communication test and a mathematical problem solving test. The data were analyzed by using one and two path ANOVA, Mann Whitney test and chi square test. The study found that: (1) Students' mathematical communication and problem solving abilities in PBL were higher than those of students of conventional classroom; (2) The advantage of PBL were also supported by the findings that mathematical communication and problem solving abilities students with low initial ability were higher in PBL classroom compared to those of conventional classroom; (3) There was significant correlation between mathematical communication and problem solving abilities; (4) There were no interaction between teaching approaches and prior mathematics ability on student's mathematical communication and problem solving abilities. "

"Research in math education on mathematical creativity relies on the idea that creativity is potentially within all students and it can be fosfered by properly structured activities. The tasks most commonly used for its assessment are problem solving and problem posing. In our approach we use problem posing tasks to get insight into students' creativity. Based on a qualitative analysis of the participants' answers to the questionnaire that the followed the task, we define algorithmic, combined and innovative creativity as constructs that can be put in correspondence with the types and level og knowledge involved in the problem posing task. We propose criteria to identify these types of creativity and discuss aspects related to the quality of the resulting problems. A second set of criteria is defined in order to assess the novelty of the posed problems."

"Skripsi ini mencoba menganalisis peranan matematika dalam komunikasi dalam novel Hakase no Aishita Suushiki karangan Ogawa Yoko, dengan menggunakan konsep komunikasi. Penelitian ini mencoba mengungkapkan peranan matematika dalam novel Hakase no Aishita Suushiki sebagai suatu komponen yang digunakan tokoh Profesor dalam berkomunikasi dengan tokoh-tokoh lainnya. Penelitian ini mempergunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan memusatkan diri pada pengkajian korpus, kemudian dengan konsep komunikasi mencoba menganalisis proses komunikasi yang terjadi pada Profesor dan tokoh-tokoh lainnya. Penelitian pun mengungkapkan bahwa melalui proses komunikasi yang dilakukan Profesor dengan tokoh-tokoh lainnya, matematika telah memperlihatkan peranannya sebagai komponen dalam komunikasi, yaitu pesan yang disampaikan oleh Profesor kepada Watashi dan Root, yang menjadikan komunikasi di antara ketiganya berjalan efektif, sehingga terjalinnya pertalian di antara ketiga tokoh. Matematika telah berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi yang menjembatani tokoh Profesor dengan tokoh-tokoh lainnya, sehingga Profesor mampu menunjukkan keberadaan dirinya yang ternafikan selama ini.

By using the concept of communication, this research is trying to analyze the role of mathematics in Ogawa Yoko’s novel, Hakase no Aishita Suushiki. This research is trying to find out the role of mathematics in The Hakase no Aishita Suushiki novel, as a component that is used by Professor in communication with others. This research concentrate its corpus assessment by using descriptive analysis method, and then with the concept of communication, this research is trying to analyze the process of communication between Professor and other characters. The analysis shows that through the process of communication, math has demonstrated its role as a component in the communication. Math has become the message of communication that is delivered by Professor to other characters, which has made the communication worked effectively between them, thereby enhanced the social connection between them. Math has been the communication tool for Professor in reaching other characters, so then he could show his existence which has been denied before."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan antara kecemasan matematika dan penggunaan strategi metakognisi pada penyelesaian soal cerita matematika pada siswa kelas 3 Sekolah Dasar di Depok, Jawa Barat. Hal ini didasarkan pada kondisi ketika individu mengalami kecemasan, maka ia akan mudah merasa tidak berdaya, sehingga menyebabkan tidak munculnya strategi metakognisi untuk menyelesaikan soal. Sebanyak 82 siswa kelas 3 Sekolah Dasar di Depok, Jawa Barat turut serta dalam penelitian ini. Kecemasan matematika diukur menggunakan adaptasi alat ukur Math Anxiety Questionnaire MAQ dan strategi metakognisi diukur dengan teknik think aloud menggunakan protokol dua soal cerita matematika. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang negatif dan signifikan antara kecemasan matematika dan penggunaan strategi metakognisi dalam penyelesaian soal cerita matematika pada siswa kelas 3 Sekolah Dasar.
ABSTRAK

This research has a purpose to see the relationship between Mathematic Anxiety and Metacognitive Strategy on Completion Mathematic rsquo s Word Problem among 3rd Elementary Student in Depok, West Java. This research based on condition when students have anxiety, they will feel helpless and this feeling makes their metacognition stretegies doesn rsquo t exist, so they can rsquo t complete their problems. 82 3rd elementary students in Depok, West Java participated in this study. Math anxiety was measured by adaptation of Math Anxiety Questionnaire MAQ and metacognion strategy was measured by think aloud technique with two mathematic rsquo s world problem rsquo s protocols. The result of this study show the existence of negative and significant correlation between Mathematic Anxiety and Metacognitive Strategy on Completion Mathematic rsquo s Word Problem among 3rd Elementary Student."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat adanya hubungan antara keyakinan matematika dan penggunaan strategi metakognisi dalam penyelesaian soal cerita matematika pada siswa/i kelas 3 SD. Hal ini didasari teori bahwa kedua variabel tersebut memengaruhi dalam penyelesaian soal matematika. Penelitian ini melibatkan 96 siswa/i kelas 3 SD di daerah Depok, Jawa Barat. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Knowledge Measurement Assessment KMA untuk mengukur keyakinan matematika dan teknik think-aloud dengan protokol 2 soal cerita matematika untuk mengukur penggunaan strategi metakognisi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara keyakinan matematika dan penggunaan strategi metakognisi pada penyelesaian soal cerita matematika r = 0,30, p < 0,01, 1-tailed . Hal itu membuktikan bahwa semakin besar keyakinan siswa/i akan kemampuan matematikanya, maka akan semakin baik penggunaan strategi metakognisinya.

ABSTRACT
This research is purposed to see the relationship between mathematics belief and metacognitive strategy use in completion of arithmetics word problem among 3rd elementary school students. It is based on theory that these two variables have impact to mathematics completion process. 96 3rd grade elementary school students in Depok, West Java participated in this study. Instruments used in this research are KMA to measure mathematics belief and think aloud technique with two arithmetic word problem rsquo s protocols to measure metacognitive strategy. The result show the existence of positive and significant relationship between mathematics belief and metacognition strategy r 0,30, p 0,01, one tailed . This result proves that students who have better belief in mathematics, will use their metacognition strategies better. "

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat bagaimana peran pengetahuan metakognitif dalam memediasi pengaruh dari minat matematika terhadap kecemasan matematika yang dialami oleh siswa kelas 5 Sekolah Dasar. Data penelitian berasal dari 366 siswa kelas 5 Sekolah Dasar di Jakarta Selatan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner yang terdiri dari alat ukur Modified Abbreviated Math Anxiety Scale, subskala interest value dari Subjective Task Value Scale, dan Metacognitive Knowledge in Mathematics Questionnaire. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, minat matematika berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kecemasan matematika. Selain itu, pengaruh dari minat matematika juga dimediasi oleh tiap-tiap dimensi dari pengetahuan metakognitif, yaitu self (a1b1 = -0,48, BCa CI [-0,71, -0,26]), task (a2b2 = -0,29, BCa CI [-0,49, -0,08]), dan strategy (a3b3 = -0,06, BCa CI [-0,14, -0,02]). Namun, total direct effect dari minat matematika terhadap kecemasan matematika ternyata lebih besar dibandingkan total indirect effect-nya, yaitu sebesar -0,974 dengan rentang confidence interval -1,258 sampai -0,690. Artinya, pengetahuan metakognitif hanya memediasi pengaruh antara minat matematika dengan kecemasan matematika secara partial, atau dengan kata lain pengaruh minat matematika secara langsung terhadap kecemasan matematika lebih besar dibandingkan dengan pengaruh minat matematika terhadap kecemasan matematika melalui pengetahuan metakognitif. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, disarankan agar peneliti juga memeriksa regulasi metakognitif dari siswa serta melakukan penelitian di wilayah selain Jakarta Selatan.

This study conducted to see how the role of metacognitive knowledge in mediating the influence of math interest on math anxiety experienced by grade 5 elementary school students. The research data came from 366 grade 5 elementary school students in South Jakarta. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire consisting of the Modified Abbreviated Math Anxiety Scale, the interest value subscale of the Subjective Task Value Scale, and the Metacognitive Knowledge in Mathematics Questionnaire. Based on the results of the analysis, math interest significantly influences math anxiety. In addition, the influence of math interest is also mediated by each dimension of metacognitive knowledge, namely self (a1b1 = -0,48, BCa CI [-0,71, -0,26]), task (a2b2 = -0,29, BCa CI [-0,49, -0,08]), and strategy (a3b3 = -0,06, BCa CI [-0,14, -0,02]). However, the total direct effect of math interest on math anxiety turns out to be greater than the total indirect effect, which is -0.974 (BCa CI [-1.258 to -0.690]). That is, metacognitive knowledge only mediates the influence between math interest and math anxiety partially, or in other words the direct effect of math interest on math anxiety is greater than the indirect effect of math interest on math anxiety through metacognitive knowledge. For further research, it is recommended that researchers also examine the metacognitive regulation of students and conduct research in areas other than South Jakarta."
