"Presents a range of options for international climate policy. Highly topical analysis of the debate over possible successors to the Kyoto agreement.
This book addresses the need to design a post-2012 international climate change policy architecture and presents six proposals for successors to the Kyoto Protocol. Some of these proposals build on the foundation established by the Kyoto agreement, while others focus on the need for developing an entirely new policy infrastructure. Commentaries provide critical reviews of the policy designs and political questions raised by the proposals."

This study aims to examine the impact of a company's greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) performance on ROA and company value, this study also examines how financial constraint and COVID-19 moderate this impact. This study uses the Structural Equations Models – Partial Least Square method by analyzing 105 non-financial companies in Indonesia that contribute to GHG emissions from 2019 to 2021 and a total of 315 observations are recorded. This study measures the performance of GHG emissions through several constructs: the amount of emissions, emission intensity, environmental cost, and disclosure of GHG emissions which are analyzed using content analysis based on the Global Report Initiative (GRI) guidelines. This study shows that GHG emission performance has a positive effect on firm value where GHG emission performance is assessed as a firm's competitive advantage, and financial constraints weaken the positive effect of GHG emission performance on firm value. This study also shows that GHG emission performance does not significantly affect Return on Assets (ROA)."

"Analysing and synthesising vast data sets from a multitude of disciplines including climate science, economics, hydrology and agricultural research, this volume seeks new methods of combining climate change mitigation, adaptation, development, and poverty reduction in ways that are effective, efficient and equitable. A guiding principle of the project is that new alliances of state and non-state sector partners are urgently required to establish cooperative responses to the threats posed by climate change. This volume offers a vital policy framework for linking our response to this change with progressive principles of global justice and sustainable development."

"[Climate change poses major socio-economic, technical and environmental challenges which will have serious impacts on countries' pathways towards sustainable development. As a result, climate change and sustainable development have increasingly become interlinked. A changing climate makes achieving Millennium Development Goals more difficult and expensive, so there is every reason to achieve development goals with low greenhouse gas emissions.
This leads to the following five challenges discussed by Challenges and solutions for climate change : to place climate negotiations in the wider context of sustainability, equity and social change so that development benefits can be maximised at the same time as decreasing greenhouse gas emissions. To select technologies or measures for climate change mitigation andadaptation based on countries' sustainabledevelopment and climate goals. To create low greenhouse gas emission and climate resilient strategies and action plans in order to accelerate innovation for sustainable development and climate goals on the scale and timescale required within countries. To rationalize the current directions in international climate policy making in order to provide coherent and efficient support to developing countries in devising and implementing strategies and action plans for low emission technology transfers to deliver climate and sustainable development goals. To facilitate development of an international framework for financial resources in order to support technology development and transfer, improve enabling environments for innovation, address equity issues such as poor people's energy access, and make implementation of activities possible at the desired scale within the country. The solutions presented in Challenges and Solutions for Climate Change show how ambitious measures can be undertaken which are fully in line with domestic interests, both in developing and in developed countries, and how these measures can be supported through the international mechanisms. , Climate change poses major socio-economic, technical and environmental challenges which will have serious impacts on countries' pathways towards sustainable development.
