Heroisme tokoh utama dalam novel Michel Strogoff karya Jules Verne = Heroism of the main character of Michel Strogoff
"Artikel ini membahas sebuah ciri khas pada karya-karya Jules Verne selain fiksi ilmiah dan chauvinisme. Ciri khas lain yang dimaksud adalah heroisme, terutama yang terdapat dalam tokoh utama novel Michel Strogoff. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan teori Roland Barthes mengenai sintagmatik dan paradigmatik untuk menganalisis pengaluran dan penokohan tokoh utama. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat heroisme dalam tokoh utama novel melalui deskripsi dan tindakan tokoh utama serta percakapan mengenai tokoh utama.
This article focuses on analyzing the heroism of the main character of a novel written by Jules Verne entitled Michel Strogoff. This research is a qualitative research using Roland Barthes’ syntagmatic and paradigmatic theory. The result of this research shows that the main character of the novel, Michel Strogoff, has a strong heroism verified by his figure descriptions, acts and other characters’ dialogues."

Heroisme Tokoh Utama dan Perlawanannya Terhadap Motif Mistisisme Tokoh Antagonis dalam Novel Gending Pencabut Nyawa Karangan Diosetta = The Heroism of the Main Character and His Resistance to the Mysticism Motives of the Antagonist in the Novel Gending Pencabut Nyawa by Diosetta
"Sampai saat ini, konsep mengenai makhluk astral, hal-hal mistis, dan kekuatan supranatural masih menjadi tolok ukur genre horor dengan antusiasme tertinggi di Indonesia—terlepas dari pendefinisian horor yang terus mengalami dinamika. Berbagai karya sastra horor yang semakin berkembang di Indonesia memuat adanya kandungan mistisisme sebagai sebuah instrumen naratif di dalamnya. Secara singkat, tulisan ini merupakan pengkajian konsep mistisisme dengan perbedaan motif antartokoh melalui novel Gending Pencabut Nyawa karangan Diosetta. Lebih dari itu, tulisan ini juga bertujuan untuk mengkaji kandungan heroisme dalam diri tokoh utama yang meliputi lima nilai: peka, bersatu, pengorbanan dan kesabaran, cinta, serta ikhlas. Dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan sosiologi sastra, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif untuk memvisualisasikan hasil kajian tersebut. Dari penelitian ini, diketahui bahwa aspek heroisme dalam diri Danan selaku tokoh utama cerita dinarasikan ke dalam bentuk perjuangannya dalam melawan motif mistisisme tokoh antagonis cerita bernama Aswangga. Bentuk perlawanan tersebut direpresentasikan dengan kekuatan-kekuatan supranatural tertentu, antara lain mantra pelindung diri, ajian Raga Sukma, Keris Raga Sukma, mantra pemanggil roh leluhur, ajian Geni Baraloka, ajian Lebur Saketi, dan Tabuh Waringin. Dari penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan juga bahwa kesamaan penggunaan kekuatan supranatural yang dimiliki oleh dua tokoh sentral dalam cerita tersebut juga memiliki beberapa perbedaan mendasar, meliputi perbedaan motif, sumber, bentuk kekuatan, dan efek yang didapatkan.
Until now, the concept of astral beings, mystical elements, and supernatural powers remains a significant benchmark in the horror genre with the highest enthusiasm in Indonesia, regardless of the continuously evolving definition of horror. Various developing works of horror literature in Indonesia contain elements of mysticism as a narrative instrument within them. In brief, this paper examines the concept of mysticism with motive differences among characters through the novel Gending Pencabut Nyawa written by Diosetta. Furthermore, this paper aims to explore the content of heroism within the main character, encompassing five values: sensitivity, unity, sacrifice and patience, love, and sincerity. Employing a sociological approach to literature, the author utilizes a qualitative descriptive research method to visualize the findings of this study. From this research, it is revealed that the aspect of heroism within Danan, the main character in the story, is narrated through his struggle against the mystical motives of the antagonist character named Aswangga. This resistance is represented by specific supernatural powers, including self-protective mantras, the Raga Sukma art, Raga Sukma Dagger, ancestral spirit-summoning mantras, the Geni Baraloka art, the Lebur Saketi art, and Tabuh Waringin. Additionally, it can be concluded from this research that the similarity in the use of supernatural powers that possessed by the two central characters also has several fundamental differences, including differences in motives, sources, forms of power, and effects obtained."

Wacana Kepahlawanan dalam Gim Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (2007) = Discourse on Heroism in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (2007) Game
"Penyematan label pahlawan pada tokoh fiksi dewasa ini mulai mengalami pergeseran sebagaimana telah munculnya istilah anti hero dalam karya fiksi. Pergeseran dalam penyematan label pahlawan ini juga ditemukan dalam narasi gim Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Penyematan label pahlawan pada suatu tokoh dalam narasi ini dinilai kurang cocok bahkan tidak menyematkan label pahlawan pada tokoh yang dinilai lebih cocok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis wacana kepahlawanan dalam gim Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (2007) di antara dua tokoh major menggunakan konsep kepahlawanan dan dasar model tindakan heroik oleh Franco et.al (2011) sebagai kerangka teori, serta metode analisis teks dan metode interpretasi komposisi visual sebagai alat analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wacana kepahlawanan yang ditawarkan di dalam Crisis Core sangat mengacu pada kekuatan fisik dan kemampuan bertarung dibandingkan perilaku etis, serta kedua tokoh mencerminkan jenis kepahlawanan yang berbeda, yang pertama mencerminkan kepahlawanan abad pertengahan yang cenderung mengandalkan kekuatan fisik, yang kedua mencerminkan kepahlawanan modern yang cenderung mementingkan kesejahteraan orang lain sebelum dirinya.
The labeling of heroes in fictional characters these days took a shift as the term anti hero was introduced. The shift of labeling of heroes has also been found in a video game narrative of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. The labeling of heroes on a character in the narrative have seen unwise, in fact the more suitable character to be labeled as heroes does not happened in the narrative. This study aims to analyze the discourse on heroism between two major characters in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII RPG game using concept of heroism and elementary model of heroic action by Franco et.al (2011) as theoretical framework, and text analysis method as well as visual composition interpretation methods as analytical tool. This study finds that Crisis Core presents the concept of heroism refers to physical strength and fighting ability rather than ethical behavior. Also the characters represents two different heroism, the first one represents medieval kind of heroism who utilize physical strength in order to obtain the hero title, the second one represent modern kind of heroism who put others before himself."

"Penelitian ini mengenai tentang pendefinisian ulang dari heroisme melalui penggambaran dari karakter utama dalam dua film animasi petualangan komedi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan bagaimana heroisme digambarkan dalam cara yang berbeda, tidak sama seperti pahlawan biasanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data yang termasuk dalam penelitian ini adalah film Lego Movie dan Spongebob Squarepants the Movie, yang di dalamnya terdapat dialog-dialog dan adegan-adegan yang berkaitan. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori tentang heroisme dan anti-hero. Berdasarkan teori-teori tersebut, penelitian ini mempresentasikan bahwa dua film tersebut menggambarkan heroisme dari perspektif orang biasa. Makalah ini akan membahas lebih lanjut mengenai kebutuhan dunia saat ini akan konsep baru dari sisi heroisme biasa.
This research concerns about the redefinition of heroism through the depiction of the main characters of two animated adventure comedy films. The purpose of this research is to show how heroism is depicted in different ways, not like a traditional hero. This research uses qualitative research. The data which included in this research are the Lego Movie and Spongebob Squarepants the Movie, consisting of dialogues and relevant scenes. Theories which used are the theories about heroism and anti-hero. Referring to theories about hero and anti-hero, this research found that the two films portray heroism from the perspective of ordinary people. This paper further contextualize the need for the new concept of ordinary heroism in today?s world."

This scientific writings contain the anxiety that exists in the main charakter. The main charakter anxiety analyzed using anxiety theory from the theories of Sigmund Freud 39 s anxiety. There are 3 types of anxiety Sigmund Freud in analasis into the main kharakter in the novel. In this paper also discussed how the main kharakter overcome the anxiety. "Penelitian ini mengkaji kondisi psikis tokoh Koplak dalam novel Koplak karya Oka Rusmini. Kondisi psikis tokoh utama ditafsirkan dapat mengisyaratkan tanda-tanda semiotika yang mengonstruksi potret satire dalam novel. Oka Rusmini sebagai pengarang seakan-akan mewakilkan pikiran dan perasaan beberapa individu yang dirasa relevan dengan tokoh utama dalam novelnya tersebut. Relevansi tersebut dapat dinilai dari cara adaptasi tokoh utama atas segala kemajuan dan perubahan yang terjadi di dunia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pendekatan deskriptif digunakan untuk meneliti kondisi psikis tokoh utama dan potret satire yang terkandung dalam novel. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa konflik batin dan kontemplasi yang sering kali dilakukan tokoh Koplak menggambarkan kondisi psikis dirinya. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga membuktikan bahwa kondisi id, ego, dan super ego tokoh Koplak menghasilkan tanda-tanda semiotika yang mengonstruksi beragamnya potret satire di dalam novel.
This research examines the psychological condition of the character Koplak in the novel Koplak by Oka Rusmini. The psychological condition of the main character is interpreted to signify semiotic signs that construct a satirical portrait in the novel. Oka Rusmini, as the author, seems to represent the thoughts and feelings of several individuals that are deemed relevant to the main character in the novel. The relevance can be assessed through the main character's adaptation to all the progress and changes happening in the world. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The descriptive approach is employed to investigate the psychological condition of the main character and the satirical portrait contained in the novel. The results of this research explain that the internal conflicts and contemplation frequently performed by the character Koplak depict his psychological condition. Furthermore, this research also demonstrates that the id, ego, and super ego of the character Koplak generate semiotic signs that construct a diverse range of satirical portraits within the novel.

Karya sastra tidak lepas dari kehidupan manusia. Beberapa di antaranya mengangkat persoalan jiwa manusia. Salah satunya adalah novel Katarsis karya Anastasia Aemilia. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan perilaku sadis tokoh utama dalam novel Katarsis dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Tara, tokoh utama novel Katarsis berperilaku sadis. Perilaku sadis itu disebabkan oleh faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Dari segi internal, perilaku sadis Tara disebabkan oleh gangguan jiwa yang dikenal dengan istilah psikopati. Dari faktor eksternal, perilaku sadis Tara dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan keluarga dan pengalaman buruk yang dialaminya. Dengan demikian, Tara berperilaku sadis karena ia adalah seorang psikopat yang pernah mengalami kekerasan dalam rumah tangga dan kekerasan seksual.

This research aims to explain the sadistic behavior of the main character in Katarsis with approach of psychology of literature. Tara, the main character of Katarsis novel, behaves sadistically. The sadistic behavior of Tara is caused by internal and external factors. From the internal, sadistic behavior of Tara caused by a mental disorder known as psychopathy. From external factor, sadistic behavior of Tara is influenced by the family environment and bad experiences that happened to her. Tara behaves sadistically because she is a psychopath who had experiences domestic violence and sexual assault., Literature can’t be separated from human life. Penelitian ini berjudul Citra Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Pinesthi karya R. Ngt. Suisdiyati Sarmo yang membahas tokoh utama cerita dan menganalisis struktur cerita rekaan dalam novel Pinesthi karya R. Ngt. Suisdiyati Sarmo. Novel Jawa ini diterbitkan oleh Azzagrafika pada tahun 2013. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana struktur cerita Pinesthi yang meliputi alur, tokoh dan penokohan, latar, dan tema serta untuk mengetahui citra tokoh utama yang terdapat di dalam novel Pinesthi karya R. Ngt. Suisdiyati Sarmo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis. Buku yang menjadi acuan dalam menganalisis struktur cerita ini adalah buku Memahami Cerita Rekaan karangan Panuti Sudjiman. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa tokoh utama, yaitu Tanti Anggraeni berperan sebagai wanita Jawa yang modern yang mempunyai karakter-karekter yang sesuai dengan wanita modern yang dikemukakan oleh Prapti Rahayu dalam bukunya Wanita dalam Sastra Jawa Modern 1945-1965.
ABSTRACT
The Chapter of this research is The Image of the main character in the Novel Pinesthi created by R. Ngt. Suisdiyati Sarmo. This research describes the image of the main character and to analyze the narrative structure in the novel of Pinesthi created by R. Ngt. Suisdiyati Sarmo. This Novel is published on 2013 by Azzagrafika.This research purpose to knows how the narrative structure of Pinesthi is that include the plots, characterizations, backgrounds, and themes to find out the image of the main character in the novel of Pinesthi created by R.Ngt. Suisdiyati Sarmo. The research used analysis-description. To analyze this research, I used the book of ?Memahami Cerita Rekaan? which created by Panuti Sudjiman. The result of this research is, that the main character of this novel was Tanti Anggraeni who acted as modern Javanese woman who have characters that correspond to the modern Javanese woman, raised by Prapti Rahayu in the book of? Wanita dalam Sastra Jawa Modern 1945-1965.

"Artikel ini mengungkapkan nilai-nilai kepahlawanan dalam novel Courrier Sud karya Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Courrier Sud merupakan novel pertama Saint-Exupéry yang terinspirasi dari pengalaman pribadinya sebagai pilot pos udara. Novel ini menceritakan seorang pilot pos udara bernama Jacques Bernis yang mengabdikan dirinya untuk pekerjaan demi kepentingan orang banyak. Heroisme dalam cerita terlihat melalui berbagai tindakan heroik yang dilakukan para tokoh, seperti pengorbanan, perjuangan, dedikasi dan profesionalisme. Unsur-unsur latar dalam cerita yang terdiri dari peristiwa-peristiwa penting yang diterangkan dalam waktu cerita dan lokasi geografis dimana cerita berlangsung, juga berperan dalam menghadirkan nilai-nilai kepahlawanan.
This article revealed heroism in Saint Exupéry's novel Courrier Sud. His first book Courrier Sud inspired by his career as an aviator of Aeropostale. This novel is about an aviator named Jacques Bernis who devoted himself to work for helping others. The values of heroism in the story can be seen through the heroic acts such as sacrifice, dedication and professionalism. The setting elements includes important moments in time and geographic location in which story takes place, also play a role in presenting their heroism."
