"Kementerian Kesehatan dengan peranan pentingnya dalam pembangunan kesehatan berupaya agar seluruh fasilitas terkait kesehatan, mulai dari pelayanan, obat-obatan, alat kesehatan dan perbekalan kesehatan yang memiliki standar dan mutu yang terjamin dapat tersalurkan kepada masyarakat dalam keadaan baik. Kementerian Kesehatan melalui Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan bertanggung jawab merumuskan serta melaksanakan kebijakan dan standardisasi teknis di bidang pembinaan kefarmasian dan alat kesehatan. Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan dibagi menjadi empat direktorat, yaitu Direktorat Bina Obat Publik dan Perbekalan Kesehatan, Direktorat Bina Pelayanan Kefarmasian, Direktorat Bina produksi dan Distribusi Alat Kesehatan, Direktorat Bina produksi dan Distribusi Kefarmasian. Direktorat Bina Produksi dan Distribusi Alat Kesehatan mempunyai tugas melaksanakan penyiapan perumusan dan pelaksanaan kebijakan, penyusunan norma, standar, prosedur, dan kriteria, serta pemberian bimbingan teknis dan evaluasi di bidang produksi dan distribusi alat kesehatan dan perbekalan kesehatan rumah tangga. Apoteker sebagai tenaga kefarmasian perlu ikut berperan sebagai personil yang dapat memberikan pandangan dan masukan dalam merumuskan kebijakan dan penyusunan norma dalam pelayanan kesehatan, sehingga diharapkan regulasi yang dihasilkan dapat mencakup dan menjamin obat, perbekalan kesehatan, pelayanan kefarmasian, serta alat kesehatan memiliki mutu yang baik untuk diberikan kepada masyarakat.

Direktorat Jenderal Bina Kefarmasian dan Alat Kesehatan are divided into four directorates, Direktorat Bina Obat Publik dan Perbekalan Kesehatan, Direktorat Bina Pelayanan Kefarmasian, Direktorat Bina produksi dan Distribusi Alat Kesehatan, Direktorat Bina produksi dan Distribusi Kefarmasian. Direktorat Bina Produksi dan Distribusi Alat Kesehatan has the tasks of preparing formulation and implementation of policies, preparation of norms, standards, procedures, and criteria, providing technical guidance and evaluation in production and distribution of medical devices and household health supplies. Pharmacists need to come into play as the personnel who can provide insight and input in policy formulation and preparation of the norm in health care, so that the resulting regulations are expected to be able to include and ensure medicines, medical supplies, pharmacy services, and medical devices has a good quality for provided to the public."

Tugas Khusus adalah mengenaimonitoring dan evaluasi sarana distribusi alat kesehatan dan perbekalan kesehatanrumah tanggga(PKRT) sebagai bagian dari Post Market Surveillance yangmerupakan salah satu tugas dari Subdirektorat Inspeksi Alat Kesehatan danPKRT. Monitoring dan evaluasi ini dilaksanakan setiap tahun untuk mengevaluasisarana yang memenuhi persyaratan agar keamanan, mutu, dan manfaat alatkesehatan dan PKRT yang beredar terjamin.

Tugas Khusus given was about monitoring andevaluating medical devices and household health care supplies distributionfacilities as one of the tasks of Subdirektorat Inspeksi Alat Kesehatan dan PKRT.It is executed every year to ensure the distribution facilities always distributemedical devices and household health care supplies whict meet the requirements."
