"Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perilaku psikologis tokoh Sweeney Todd yang kepribadiannya didominasi oleh dorongan destruksi. Konflik internal yang ter- represi dalam tokoh Todd dan konflik eksternal hasil interaksinya dengan tokoh- tokoh lain yang memicu dan menjustifikasi dorongan destruksinya tersebut akan dianalisis menggunakan teori-teori psikoanalisis dari Sigmund Freud. Konflik internal tokoh ini adalah kondisi neurosis melankolia yang bercirikan ambivalensi antara rasa cinta yang mendalam terhadap libidinal cathexis dengan agresivitas destruktif yang begitu mendominasi kepribadian. Konflik eksternalnya berupa interaksinya dengan tokoh-tokoh lain yang mempengaruhi mekanisme kepribadian Todd. Dominasi dorongan destruksi yang kuat tersebut harus dilampiaskan dalam bentuk pembalasan dendam kepada tokoh Judge Turpin yang merampas istri dan putri Todd secara paksa. Namun, demi melampiaskan dorongan destruksi dan membalaskan dendamnya, Todd harus menyusun strategi agar misinya terlaksana. Seiring misi pembalasan dendamnya, tokoh Sweeney Todd sang pembunuh berdarah dingin lahir karena dorongan destruksinya yang sudah tidak dapat dibendung.

This thesis aims to analyze the psychological behavior of Sweeney Todd as the main character of the story whose personality is being dominated by a drive of destruction. Using Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theories, this thesis would like to discuss the effects of repressed internal conflict in Todd's personality and his external conflict through the interaction with other characters that trigger and justify Todd's drive of destruction. As the main symptom, Todd's neurotic condition of melancholia shows the ambivalence between his inexhaustible love towards his libidinal cathexis and his dominating destructive behavior. Moreover, the interaction with several significant characters really affects his personality mechanisms as another factor that strengthens his destructive drive. Thus, the force of destruction has to be retaliated towards the character Judge Turpin who snatched Todd's wife and daughter away from him. However, in order to retaliate, Todd needs to plan a thoughtful strategy to accomplish his mission. As his mission of revenge goes by, Sweeney Todd's trait as a cold-blooded slaughter is born as a result of the unbearable drive of destruction."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menelusuri rekam jejak persoalan kejiwaan tokoh yang terdapat dalam novel Bisikan karya V. Lestari melalui analisis psikologi sastra. Karya sastra yang dijadikan subjek penelitian adalah novel Bisikan karya V. Lestari. Novel Bisikan mengisahkan keluarga Hayono, seseorang yang sudah mati, tetapi arwahnya masih penasaran karena ia tidak mau meninggalkan anak kesayangan, Marisa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Selanjutnya, metode analisisnya adalah metode analisis kualitatif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa respons karakter terhadap konflik dipengaruhi oleh id, ego, dan superego mereka dan perilaku mereka berubah saat mereka menghadapi situasi yang berbeda. Hayono dan Marisa bertindak impulsif karena dorongan id, Andre bertindak realistis sebagai fungsi ego, dan Emma membatasi perilaku dengan nilai-nilai moral dan etika yang diwakili oleh superego. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor kejiwaan para tokoh memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk dan memengaruhi respons karakter terhadap konflik, serta mencerminkan kompleksitas manusia dalam menghadapi situasi kehidupan.

The novel tells the story of the Hayono family, where Hayono, who is deceased, refuses to leave his beloved daughter Marisa and his spirit remains restless. The research method employed is descriptive research. Furthermore, the analysis method used is qualitative analysis. The study concludes that the characters' responses to conflicts are influenced by their id, ego, and superego and their behaviors change when they face different situations. Hayono and Marisa act impulsively due to the drives of the id, Andre acts realistically as the function of the ego, and Emma limits her behavior based on moral values and ethics represented by the superego.The results of the study indicate that the psychological factors of the characters play a significant role in shaping and influencing the characters responses to conflicts, as well as reflecting the complexity of human beings in facing life situations."

"Sebuah karya sastra merupakan cerminan dari pembuatnya. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis melakukan kajian psikologi sastra terhadap lirik lagu yang dibuat oleh IC3PEAK, duo musisi Rusia yang kontroversial. Kajian psikologi sastra terhadap musik elektronik modern Rusia merupakan topik yang jarang disorot. Lirik lagu yang akan diteliti berjudul Смерти больше нет (Smerti bol'she net), Грустная cука (Grustnaya suka), dan Плакплак (Plak-plak). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat lirik lagu sebagai cerminan psikologis dari hasrat pembuatnya. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah psikoanalisis Lacan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode hermeneutika dengan tahap psikoanalisis Lacan. Hasil analisis yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa ketiga lagu dari IC3PEAK tersebut merupakan cerminan psikologis penyair. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari bagaimana penanda-penanda dalam lirik lagu menjadi cermin yang mengidentifikasi hasrat penyair.

A literary work is a reflection of its creator. In this study, the authors conducted a literary psychology study of song lyrics composed by IC3PEAK, a controversial Russian musician duo. The study of literary psychology on modern Russian electronic music is a topic that is rarely highlighted. The lyrics of the songs to be examined are entitled Смерти больше нет (Smerti bol'she net), Грустная cука (Grustnaya likes), and Плак-плак (Plak-plak). The purpose of this study is to see song lyrics as a psychological reflection of the creator's desire. The theory used in this research is Lacan's psychoanalysis. This research was conducted using the hermeneutic method with the Lacan psychoanalytic stage. The results of the analysis show that the three songs from IC3PEAK are a psychological reflection of the poet. This can be seen from how the markers in the song lyrics become a mirror that identifies the poet's passion. "

"Skipsi ini membahas tentang konflik batin tokoh Aleksej Ivanovič dalam novel Игрок / Igrok / Penjudi karya Fëdor Mixajlovič Dostoevskij melalui pendekatan psikologi sastra. Pendekatan ini merupakan salah satu pendekatan dalam sastra yag mengkaji tentang kejiwaan tokoh. Analisis terhadap novel Игрок / Igrok / Penjudi dengan menggunakan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud mengenai Id, Ego, Superego, Kecemasan, dan Mekanisme Pertahanan Ego. Melalui pendekatan ini terlihat bahwa tokoh Aleksej Ivanovič mengalami konflik batin ketika ia terjerat dalam permainan judi yang awalnya ia lakukan untuk menarik hati gadis yang ia sukai. Permasalahan yang muncul mengakibatkan Aleksej mengalami berbagai perasaan yang menimbulkan kecemasan di dalam dirinya.

This thesis is about inner conflict of the character Aleksej Ivanovič in the novel Игрок / Igrok / Penjudi written by Fëdor Mixajlovič Dostoevskij through literature psychology. This approach is one of many approaches about the psychology of the character. The analysis of the novel Игрок / Igrok / Penjudi is using the psychoanalysis theory by Sigmund Freud about Id, Ego, Superego, Anxiety, and Ego Defense Mechanism. Through this approach is seen that the character of Aleksej Ivanovič has inner conflicts when he has been trapped to the game of gambling which is at first he did that to attract a girl that he loved. The problem appears when Aleksej has various anxieties inside of him."

Topik penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi ketertarikan penulis terhadap pembentukan perilaku negatif yang merupakan penggambaran identitas tokoh pada karya sastra khususnya dalam novel dan kurangnya penelitian mengenai perilaku negatif tokoh dalam karya sastra. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pembentukan perilaku negatif tokoh Gregorij Pecorin dalam kehidupannya dari lahir sampai beranjak dewasa dan hubungannya dengan kondisi lingkungan dalam novel karya Mixail Lermontov. Penulisan Jurnal ini menggunakan metode ex post facto dengan berfokus pada pendekatan intrinsik. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Герой Нашего Времени (Geroj Nasego Vremeni) Pahlawan Masa Kini karya Mixail Lermontov. Penulisan artikel ini dilandasi ajaran psikologi sastra karena psikologi merupakan studi mengenai perilaku manusia. Teori psikologi yang difokuskan adalah teori behavioristik dari Burrhus Federic Skinner. Hasil analisis penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perilaku negatif tokoh Pecorin merupakan respon terhadap kondisi lingkungan. Perjalanan hidup Pecorin mulai dari bayi hingga dewasa yang digambarkan dalam novel merefleksikan lingkungan sebagai faktor pembentuk perilaku.

ABSTRACTThis article discusses the building of behaviors of the main characters in one of the Russian literary works, Mixail Lermontov. The topic of this research is based on the author s interest in the building of negative behaviors, which is a depiction of the identity of characters in literature, especially in novels and lack of research on the negative behavior of characters in literary works. The purpose of this study was to find out how the building of negative behaviors of Gregorij Pechorin character in hislife from he was born to adulthood and their relationship with environmental conditions in a novel by Mixail Lermontov. Writing This journal uses ex post facto analytical methods by focusing on intrinsic approaches. The data sources used in this study were novel Герой Нашего Времени (Geroj Nasego Vremeni) Pahlawan Masa Kini by Mixail Lermontov. The writing of this article is based on the teaching of literary psychology because psychology is a study of human behavior. The focusedpsychological theory is the behavioristic theory of Burrhus Federic Skinner. The results of this research show that the development of Pecorin s character s behaviors become negative is a response to environmental conditions. Pecorin s life journey from babies to adults described in the novel reflects the environment as a forming factor in his behavior."

"Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana mekanisme pertahanan diri yang dilakukan oleh para tokoh dalam novel Unsent Letters karya Elsa Fakhirah Nasution atau biasa dikenal dengan Elcessa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Teori yang digunakan merupakan teori mekanisme pertahanan diri yang disampaikan oleh Sigmund Freud. Mekanisme Pertahanan diri merupakan strategi perlindungan yang dilakukan oleh manusia dalam menghadapi ansietas atau kecemasan. Freud menyampaikan munculnya perasaan ansietas atau kecemasan disebabkan oleh keinginankeinginan yang tidak tercapai atau saling bertentangan sehingga mekanisme pertahanan diri ini dilakukan untuk menghilangkan ansietas atau kecemasan yang dirasa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya mekanisme pertahanan diri yang dilakukan oleh para tokoh dalam novel Unsent Letters karya Elsa Fakhirah Nasution atau biasa dikenal dengan Elcessa berupa regresi, represi, proyeksi, reaksi formasi, rasionalisasi, agresi dan apatis, pengalihan, fantasi dan stereotip, dan terakhir sublimasi.

This study aims to describe how the defense mechanism is carried out by the characters in the novel Unsent Letters by Elsa Fakhirah Nasution or commonly known as Elcessa. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a study of literature psychology. The theory used is defense mechanisms presented by Sigmund Freud. Defense Mechanisms are protective strategies carried out by humans in dealing with anxiety. Freud conveyed that the emergence of feelings of anxiety is caused by desires that are not achieved or conflict with each other so that this defense mechanism is carried out to eliminate anxiety. The results of this study indicate that there are defense mechanisms carried out by the characters in the novel Unsent Letters by Elsa Fakhirah Nasution or commonly known as Elcessa in the form of regression, repression, projection, reaction formation, rationalization, aggression and apathy, diversion, fantasy and stereotypes, and sublimation."

"Kepribadian dan kejiwaan seorang individu dapat dipengaruhi oleh banyak hal, termasuk peristiwa-peristiwa yang terjadi di sekitarnya. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut, penelitian ini berfokus kepada kepribadian dan kejiwaan tokoh Abel dalam novel Jakarta Sebelum Pagi terkait dengan fobia yang dimilikinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana kepribadian dan kejiwaan tokoh Abel diungkapkan dan bagaimana faktor-faktor yang membangun kepribadian dan kejiwaan tokoh Abel. Kedua hal tersebut dianalisis dengan memperhatikan fobia yang diderita oleh tokoh Abel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kepribadian tokoh Abel yang terbuka dan bersahabat, tegar dan mandiri, bertekad dan berpendirian kuat, berani, berhati-hati, dan antisipatif. Sementara itu, kejiwaan tokoh Abel ditunjukkan melalui pengalaman traumatis penyebab timbulnya fobia terhadap sentuhan dan suara, sifat paranoid dan perasaan tidak aman, anggapan bahwa dunia luar adalah ancaman, dan upaya melakukan suatu tindakan untuk ketenangan diri sendiri. Kepribadian dan kejiwaan Abel diungkapkan melalui interaksinya dengan orang-orang di sekitarnya. Sementara itu, faktor yang membangun kondisi tersebut di antaranya adalah kesadaran yang dimiliki oleh Abel atas fobianya sendiri.

Personality and psychological condition of an individual can be influenced by many things, including events that occur around them. Whether the influence is good or not depends on the event that they experience. In this case, a bad event can create a traumatic feeling that is a basic reason for a phobia. Based on this description, this study focuses on personality dan psychological condition of a character named Abel in the novel Jakarta Sebelum Pagi in relation to his phobia. This study aims to explain how the personality and psychological condition of Abel are exoressed and how the factors that build it. Those two things are analyzed by considering Abel's phobia. This study uses qualitative method and psychology literature approach. The result shows the personality of Abel who is open and friendly, tough and independent, determined, courageous, cautious, and antisipatory. Meanwhile, the psychological condition of Abel is shown through traumatic experience that caused phobia to touch and sound, paranoid and feelings of insecurity, a belief that the outside world is a threat, and some actions that taken for self calm. The personality and psychological condition of Abel are expressed through his interactions with people around him. Meanwhile, one of the factors that contributed to build it is the awareness that Abel has of his own phobia."

"Karya sastra lahir dengan tujuan untuk memberikan hiburan dan pelajaran bagi pembaca. Fungsi karya sastra tersebut sering dimanfaatkan oleh pengarang untuk menyampaikan ajaran atau ideologinya melalui tokoh-tokoh yang ditampilkan. Novel-novel populer cenderung menekankan aspek hiburan. Oleh karena itu, kerumitan, kompleksitas, dan persoalan yang mendalam sengaja dihindari oleh pengarang. Meskipun demikian, terdapat pula novel populer yang mencoba menyampaikan ajaran atau ideologi pengarang sebagai usaha memberi pencerahan atau pelajaran kepada pembaca. Dalam novel tersebut, pengarang menggambarkan pentingnya motivasi untuk bertahan dan mengalahkan penderitaan ketika seseorang mengidap penyakit tertentu. Motivasi tersebut juga penting ditumbuhkan dalam diri orang yang bersangkutan untuk memberi optimisme dan semangat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkapkan aspek motivasi dalam penokohan novel Never Give Up karya Inni Indarpuri. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan psikologi sastra untuk menjelaskan persoalan kejiwaan tokoh-tokoh dalam novel tersebut. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengarang menekankan motivasi yang positif sangat penting untuk diberikan kepada seseorang yang mengidap penyakit Lupus.

The function of the literary work is often used by the author to convey his teachings or ideology through the figures displayed. Popular novels tend to emphasize entertainment aspects. The purpose of this study was to reveal the motivational aspects of characterizing the Never Give Up novel by Inni Indarpuri. The approach in this study uses literary psychology to explain the psychological problems of the characters in the novel. "Genre karya sastra yang berkembang di Prancis pada paruh akhir abad XX memiliki karakteristik yang khas dalam pemilihan tema, sejalan dengan berkembangnya pemikiran post-strukturalis. Salah satu puisi era tersebut adalah Où es-tu ? yang dimuat dalam antologi Quelque chose noir (1986) karya Jacques Roubaud. Puisi ini menggambarkan duka melalui diksi yang berkaitan dengan kegelapan. Penelitian ini akan membahas bagaimana duka diperlihatkan dalam puisi dengan menganalisis aspek struktural dan tematis untuk mengkaji citraan duka dan dilihat keterkaitannya dengan era poststrukturalis. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan tekstual, serta teori analisis struktural puisi oleh Schmitt & Viala dan mengasosiasikannya dengan aspek tematis menggunakan teori hubungan berkelanjutan oleh Klass, Silverman & Nickman yang akan dilanjutkan dengan konsep dekonstruksi Derrida. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa duka digambarkan dengan ketidakstabilan emosi, ketidakutuhan, dan ketidakhadiran. Tiga hal tersebut merupakan upaya Roubaud untuk mengintegrasikan duka ke dalam kehidupannya. Aspek tematis puisi ini memperlihatkan perubahan pola hubungan dengan pasangannya dan penjelajahan duka dengan menulis puisi. Puisi ini menjadi salah satu puisi post-strukturalis karena keterkaitannya dengan karakteristik era tersebut. Ciri-ciri post-strukturalisme dalam puisi ini meliputi keterbukaan terhadap eksplorasi eksperimental terhadap duka melalui struktur dan tema.

A genre of literary works that developed in France in the latter half of the 20th century had distinctive characteristics in the choice of themes, in line with the development of post-structuralist thought. One of the poems of this era is Où es-tu ? published in the anthology Quelque chose noir (1986) by Jacques Roubaud. This poem depicts grief through diction related to darkness. This research will discuss how grief is shown in the poem by analyzing the structural and thematic aspects to examine the image of mourning and its relationship with the post-structuralist era. This research will be studied by using a qualitative method with a textual approach, as well as the theory of structural analysis of poetry by Schmitt & Viala, and associate it with thematic aspects using the continuing bonds theory of Klass, Silverman & Nickman which will be continued with Derrida’s concept of deconstruction. The analysis shows that grief is depicted by emotional instability, incompleteness, and absence. These three things are Roubaud's efforts to integrate grief into his life. The thematic aspect of this poem shows the changing pattern of his relationship with his partner and the exploration of grief by writing poetry. This poem is one of the post-structuralist poems because of its association with the characteristics of the era. The characteristics of post-structuralism in this poem include openness to experimental exploration of grief through structure and theme."
