"Penelitian ini membahas pengakuan dan pengukuran nilai wajar tanaman kelapa sawit antara perlakuan akuntansi berdasarkan International Accounting Standards 41 (IAS 41) yang berbasis harga pasar dengan Pernyataan Standar Akuntansi Keuangan 16 Aset Tetap (PSAK 16) yang memberi pilihan antara pengukuran berbasis biaya perolehan atau basis harga pasar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak perbedaan pengukuran tersebut terhadap nilai wajar tanaman kelapa sawit pada industri perkebunan kelapa sawit di Indonesia.Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai wajar tanaman kelapa sawit dengan pengukuran berbasis harga pasar berdasarkan IAS 41 berbeda dengan pengukuran berdasarkan PSAK 16 model biaya berbasis biaya perolehan. Hasil pengukuran berdasarkan IAS 41 dan PSAK 16 model revaluasi dapat menghasilkan nilai wajar yang sama jika menggunakan pendekatan yang sama dalam menentukan harga pasar aset tanamam kelapa sawit. Akan tetapi dampaknya laporan laba rugi menyajikan hasil operasi yang berbeda dan ekuitas mengakui akun surplus revaluasi. Kedua hal ini menjadikan penerapan PSAK 16 model revaluasi tidak bisa menggantikan penerapan IAS 41.

This research discusses the fair value of oil palm plantation by comparing the measurement in accordance with International Accounting Standards 41Agriculture (IAS 41) with basis of market price and Indonesian Accounting Standard 16 Fixed Assets (PSAK 16) which allows selection of cost model or market price (revaluation) model. This research is intended to identify impacts of the difference in measurement on the fair value of oil palm plantation of the oil palm plantation industry in Indonesia.The results of this research indicates that the fair value of oil palm plantation measured under basis of market price under IAS 41 is different with the fair value based on PSAK 16 cost model. The measurement under IAS 41 and PSAK 16 market price (revaluation) model will results in similar fair value if applies similar approach in determining the market valye of the oil palm plantation. However, the the income statements reports different operating results and the equity accounts impacted due to recognition of revaluation surplus. These items of difference have made the application of PSAK 16 revaluation model cannot substitute the application of IAS 41."
