SDGs has mandated each country to halve road accident-caused death by 2020. Road accidents are the main cause of death for the productive age population and 90% occur in developing countries. In Indonesia the prevalence of injuries due to land transportation accidents has increased from 25.9% in 2007 to 47.7% in 2013. Road accidents analysis identify the influence of the causal factors, such as behavior of road users, vehicles, and road factors. We should pay more attention on road factors in developing countries because the road standard quality is not as good as in developed countries. In Indonesia the study of road accidents is mostly carried out in form of case studies.
This study aims to analyze the influence of road surface conditions and road lighting factors on the number of casualties using the negative binomial regression method. Interviews with policy makers are held to enrich this study. The analysis was carried out using 765,678 cross section data which is recorded by the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps.
Results showed that poor road surface conditions increase the number of fatal casualties, while poor road lighting increases the number of casualties at all injury level. Compared to road surface improvement, road lighting provides benefits three times greater and requires 50% lower costs."

One of the primary contributors to climate change and global warming because the concentration of greenhouse gases (GHGs) was increased in atmosphere. The rise is largely attributed to human activities, with the energy sector being the second largest contributor due to its continued reliance on non-renewable energy sources. To mitigate this, Indonesia has set a goal to achieve net-zero emission by 2050, necessitating an appropriate to reach this target. Direct air Capture (DAC) is one of the technologies for carbon capturing that can permanently eliminating carbon emission from the atmosphere. The objective of this study is to identify an optimal geometric of fin design for the DAC. The design variations include fin heigh, fin thickness and the distance between the fins. These variations aim to identify the design that yields the highest adsorption uptake value in the DAC system in shortest possible time and under low-temperature conditions. The simulation results demonstrate the distribution of temperature and adsorption uptake. This study examines 10 variations, labeled from A to J. According to the analytical results, variation E (0,33 x 7) mm achieves the highest adsorption uptake value of 1,0059 kg/kg within 792 seconds, while the lowest value is 0,6078 kg/kg , achieved within 326 seconds in variation D (1,13 x 11) mm. Optimization carried out using the response surface method reveals on optimal point with a fin thickness of 0,33 mm and a fin height 11 mm. This configuration generates a temperature of 316,565 K and adsorption uptake value of 0,91401 kg/kg within 547,092 seconds. A desirability value of 0.676 means that the optimum point is able to achieve the desired response criteria by 67.6%."

BNA R and zeolite additives can affects the skid resistance of warm mix asphalt, especially on the surface of the asphalt before it passes through and after 7560 as many passes through the track by using the Wheel Tracking Machine. This study used a British Pendulum Tester, which has been modified in order to be tested with the desired temperature.
The results showed that the BNA R can increase the value of skid at first but BNA R can not sustain the increase in the value of the skid after the asphalt is crossed by as much as 7560 tracks. For added zeolite material is proven that such additives can increase the value and increase skid resistance versus asphalt temperature.

"This book comprises the proceedings of the conference Faszination Hybrider Leichtbau 2018, which took place in Wolfsburg.
The conference focused on new methods and technologies for the development and production of multifunctional and hybrid lightweight solutions in large-scale vehicle manufacturing. Further, it promoted the exchange of insights and lessons learned between experts from industry and academia.
Lightweight design and construction are key technologies for the development of sustainable and resource-efficient mobility concepts. Material hybrid structures, which combine the advantages of different materials (e.g. fiber-reinforced plastics and metals), have a high potential for reducing weight, while simultaneously expanding component functionality. However, the efficient use of functional integrated hybrid structures in vehicle construction, requires innovations and constant developments in vehicle and production technology. There is a great demand for affordable lightweight construction in mass production that takes into account the increasing requirements in terms of variant diversity, safety and quality- particularly with regards to new methods and technologies."

"This state-of-the-art study of the techniques used for designing curves and surfaces for computer-aided design applications focuses on the principle that fair shapes are always free of unessential features and are simple in design.
The authors define fairness mathematically, demonstrate how newly developed curve and surface schemes guarantee fairness, and assist the user in identifying and removing shape aberrations in a surface model without destroying the principal shape characteristics of the model.
Aesthetic aspects of geometric modeling are of vital importance in industrial design and modeling, particularly in the automobile and aerospace industries. Any engineer working in computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing, or computer-aided engineering will want to add this volume to his or her library. Researchers who have a familiarity with basic techniques in computer-aided graphic design and some knowledge of differential geometry will find this book a helpful reference. It is essential reading for statisticians working on approximation or smoothing of data with mathematical curves or surfaces."
