"Manu adalah bahasa Sumba dari Ayam kampung yang merupakan persembahan penting dalam ritual adat orang Kampung Tarung. Karena itu, menyediakan manu bukanlah hal yang sederhana dan selalu menyimpan cerita yang menarik. Pada kenyataannya banyak orang Kampung Tarung yang tidak mampu membeli manu untuk kebutuhan ritual. Ironisnya mereka lebih memilih untuk membeli manu dari pada menternak dan merawatnya dari kecil padahal kebanyakan orang mampu dan memiliki sumber daya menternak manu sendiri. Penelitian ini berfokus kepada bagaimana orang Tarung menyelesaikan masalah kekurangan manu ketika mereka membutuhkannya untuk keperluan ritual. Penelitian menggunakan metode etnografi dan menggunakan konsep materialis yang dikembangkan oleh Marvin Harris sebagai dasar pemikiran dan penjelasan. Penelitian berusaha menjawab teka-teki di balik permasalahan hutang dan uang yang menjadi mekanisme penyediaan hewan suci di tengah perubahan sosial yang terjadi pada masyarakat Kampung Tarung. Solidaritas sosial di antara warga Kampung Tarung dengan kampung lain ternyata membantu warga Tarung untuk menyelesaikan persoalan penyediaan manu di tengah perubahan pola relasi dan ekonomi warga

Manu means domestic chicken in Sumbanese language that is an essential offering in the traditional rituals of Tarung Villagers in West Sumba. Therefore, providing manu is not a simple matter that uncovers interesting stories. In reality, many Tarung Villagers cannot self-fulfilled the needs of manu for their rituals. Ironically most of the villager prefers buying manu rather than breeding even though most of them are able and have enough resource for raising chickens as livestock. This thesis focuses on how Tarung People solve shortages of manu for ritual needs using the concept of materialism developed by Marvin Harris as a basis for thinking and explanations. Here, this thesis aims to answer riddles related to the problem of debts and the using of money for exchange and transaction as a mechanism for Tarung people to provide the sacred animal. Amid social change that occurs in the Tarung community, social solidarity among the villagers and relation with people from other villages turned out to accommodate citizens of Tarung Village to solving the problem of providing manu for the rituals offerings."

"ABSTRACTNational governments rely on global performance indicators tomeasure where they stand and to build future strategies. However, no previousstudy has compiled various indices to investigate pathways to governmentperformance. We use fuzzy set analysis to investigate what role each of fivedeterminants of government performance trait competitiveness, change orientedcitizenship behavior, public service motivation, organizational identification,and corruption tolerance play in three representative government performanceindicators Government Effectiveness, Government Efficiency, andThroughput. The results indicate that government performance as measuredby these three indicators is commonly tied to strongly public service motivatedemployees. These three indicators are distinguished from one another withregard to the number of factors that contribute to the construction of sufficientconfigurations, the role of innovation inclined factors, and the role of corruptiontolerance."

"Perubahan sosial ekonomi yang disebabkan oleh kegiatan PT. Freeport Indonesia tidak memberi banyak dampak dan implikasi sosial bagi kehidupan Suku Kamoro. Untuk itu perlu untuk menganalisis kelayakan investasi industri kecil bahan bangunan geopolimer untuk pemberdayaan Suku Kamoro. Aspek kelayakan yang dibahas pada penelitian ini adalah Aspek Pasar, Aspek Teknis dan Aspek Keuangan.Penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah rekomendasi yang menyatakan bahwa Investasi Industri Bahan Bangunan ini layak untuk diterapkan sebagai pemberdayaan Suku Kamoro di Papua.

Socio-economic changes which caused by activities of Freeport does not provide the impact and social implications for the life of Kamoro tribe. For that reason, it is necessary to analyze the feasibility of small industrial of Geopolymer Based Building for the enpowerment of Kamoro tribe. Feasibility aspects that will be analize on this research are market aspect, technical aspect and financial aspect. This research output is a recommendation that states that the building materials industry investment is feasible to implement as empowerment Kamoro tribe in Papua."
