Rapid urbanization and lack of nature involvement within urban design has progressively grows into an issue as the world appears to be more unbalanced and the urban sprawl become more uncontrollable and unstoppable. Within this context, the final project will attempt to revisit the old ways of prioritizing nature and land management into the design process. Reconnection between nature and human with their man-made build will be the main objective of the final project. The concept of regenerative design along with other theories becomes the fundamental approach used to perform the design intent. The focus of the project is to propose a sustainable master plan of the new model of suburban area within the brownfield site in Lefroy Road quarry. Accordingly, the regenerative design concept will be carried through from the scale of a suburban to a scale of an individual dwelling while carefully respecting the ecological landscape and the community."

ABSTRACT For the third consecutive year, Melbourne has been crowned the world?s most liveable city by the Economist Intelligence Unit?s (EIU) global liveability survey. This index defines the five key elements of education, infrastructure, culture and environment, health care and stability, as the foundation for defining the world?s most liveable city. Questions can be raised however, into the authenticity and reliability the EIU?s survey. City liveability has become a significant factor in deciding a place to travel and locate for many individuals and families. The EIU?s index therefore carries substantial weight in determining people?s decisions and movements. Considering this additional significance, it was decided to analyse and evaluate the significance of the five factors in determining a city as liveable. It is expected that the calculated probability derived from the model will enable analysts to highlight the importance of the specific factors influencing the liveability of a city. With these results, one will be enabled to analyse the authenticity of the Economist Intelligence Unit?s survey as well as effectively evaluate a reliable scale of liveable locations. Cities and their respective planning authorities will also be better equipped in identifying potential contributing factors that influence suitability and comfort for its citizens., For the third consecutive year, Melbourne has been crowned the world’s most liveable city by the Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) global liveability survey. "This article is to present the changing urban plans of the city of Yogyakarta and their impacts on its physical appearance. An intensive study of extensive materials is carried out in the library and governmental institutions particularly, the regional planning board. By comparing the earlier simplest plan, to the recent one, a pronounced development of the respective plan can be detected. Some conclusions are particularly directed toward the present plan because this one is not more than a synthesis of the previous plans and the inputs are expected in order to be used for further elaboration."
